The prices were good $18.95 for a pulled pork sandwich. I also tried the hamburger, both were okay, nothing outstanding. If you want a decent meal with decent prices, this is the place. read more

I have been to the Mohave Smokehouse many times over the years for many different work trips. I have always had good experiences at Mohave's. This used to really be the only restaurant that was close to the hotel that I normally stay at so I went here for dinner by default. Now however there are many more restaurants that have opened right in the same area, but Mohave's is always a solid choice! I always eat dinner in the lounge where I they have many TV's showing various sports on them depending on the time of the day and the time of the year. If they are not showing your game on TV and it being televised they will make there best effort to get it on for you! I ended up up here for dinner with a coworker and we had a really good supper. We started off with hot wings and Asian glazed pork belly. I was trying not to go too big so I had the Chop salad. The hot wings were good with a nice amount of crispiness and a hot sauce with a good amount of heat. The Asian pork belly was VERY good. It comes in a honey Sriracha sauce and cilantro. I think that I'm in LOVE pork belly..at least prepared like this! For my main the Chop salad was what I would consider a Cobb type salad. There was a nice amount of chicken on this and was a good portion. It had egg, bacon bits and cheese all with a blue cheese dressing. I also really like blue cheese so this was a good fit for me, I've have many different items from a couple of the menus they have have over the years here and I have always been impressed and will continue to come back to this restaurant when I'm in town. read more

The staff was very friendly but the food was nothing to write home about. I order the ribs and actually got rib tips. There is a huge difference but not according to the menu. Since it's a smokehouse I asked them what type of wood did they use. They said Applewood.... Not a hint of smoke and seems like it was prepared in the oven. They have had Reno's so the place is fresh and clean and looks good. They have a lounge and restaurant. ATM on premises and close to a whole bunch of hotels. I was greeted promptly and with a smile by Karmen and offered a menu and a drink. Got a Pepsi quick and went over the menu. Lots of meat offerings and pricing similar to places like Original Joes or State & Main. However portions are not. I won't say that's necessarily a bad thing as I'm often feeling glutinous at some of the places with two hefty sides. Prices can get up there with the smokehouse boards. Anyway on this day I was craving meat and spuds and so I opted for bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes and veggies. My meal came in a timely fashion and potatoes were whipped and hot with a tasty gravy. Veggies included a few different fares. Crispy and cooked perfectly. My meatloaf however was barely warm. This would tend to have me believe it is premed, which I don't fault but simply not heated enough. It had an ok flavor and texture but I admit I was thrown off by the temperature. I was offered New but honestly I'm not the entirely picky. I would have liked two scoops of mashed potatoes with a meal like meatloaf as you don't get much. $16.95 I was expecting two. I'll head back again and try something from the smoke house but today I wanted some comfort food. read more

The Mohave Grill serves up Mexican-styled food in a Mexican themed atmosphere. I had the enchiladas, and they were pretty good. They were an appropriate size and when served with the sides it was quite a large meal. For a drink I had the sangria and much to my dismay, it was not true sangria but merely orange juice and wine. On a separate occasion I also had some drinks in the lounge and some wings and the wings were a pretty good quality. The hot wings had a good hot taste with about a 6/10 of spiciness (I like them really spicy). The staff were all really nice and the prices are pretty average for a restaurant. I guess I have just taken this time to say that it's pretty average. I'll be sure to update when I go back there again. read more

Felt like I was back in high school the way the bar staff was behaving. Very unprofessional. The however was really good, hot and tasty. One of the best steaks I have eaten in a long time. I've been to Mohave many times, never had any complaints. This evening I ordered a meal for pick up. I had a long day any I'm kinda "cranky". One of the sides was not what I ordered. I called the restaurant to ask about the mistake. In my cranky state, I was honestly trying to prove some point with my bad attitude and in some way blame someone for my shitty day. (I know, what a dick, not my proudest moment). The girl that I spoke to on the phone was very pleasant, even though, I was not. She apologized for the error and actually offered to deliver the side that I had ordered to me. I told her that the meal was over and not to bother. I apologize to you, pleasant phone girl, and commend you and your restaurant for really taking responsibility, for the error and offering everything you could to make it right. Seems like this was run by a teenager in puberty. Complete and utter disgusting experience. Waited 20 minutes to be asked for anything, told we can't get menus because the kitchen is backed up. Finally when I asked whether a house beer is red, pale, blonde said it's yellow. When another at my table asked where the wine was from she said a box. No knowledge on the stuff they're serving. I asked about a 12oz ribeye on the online menu because we couldn't get actual menus which isn't updated I guess she said they don't have it and that the kitchen couldn't cook a ribeye if their life depended on it so I figured I'd try an 8oz TS medium rare. Came out dry and chewy, pretty much well done. 2 meals came out 15 min before the other 3 so we were done our lukewarm meals before theirs showed up. Restaurant was full of volleyball kids and a couple were hanging out in the bathroom one with a bloody nose and blood everywhere in the sink, on the counter and on the door so I had to ask them to clean that up. They used so much bleach my eyes were burning when I went back in. Waiting 20 minutes for a beer almost going directly to the bartender to get one after it was calm again. Short on cutlery so waited on that too. Horrid, juvenile experience here and won't be going back. EVER. read more

I had the half rack of ribs with the sweet potato fries. The ribs were fall of the bone tender but had quite a lot of gristle and fat on them. The baked beans were very delicious and flavourful. Service was a bit slow. It there was a lot of people in the lounge area. Very dim lighting to read the menu. read more

My boyfriend and I just had supper and a drink in the lounge and our server made our experience a little less than great. Not very friendly, looked away as she was speaking to us, cut us off while ordering, even walked away from the table on my boyfriend before he was fully finished requesting his food order. Overall, we felt as though we were a burden and there were a million other important things to do than serve us. I was also surprised to see and extra $4 in charges for mushrooms and peppers on a cheesesteak... I assumed that was standard. BUT... the food was EXCELLENT and came at a nice speed. Last time I was there I had the tequila chicken and it was very good, all other dishes seem delicious as well.. In town for work and staying at a hotel near by, my colleague suggested we eat at Mohave; and a great suggestion it was! I had the grilled chicken burger and a side salad. Chicken was cooked perfectly, nice and hot, bun and fixings were all fresh; a great burger! The side salad had a few bits where the lettuce was getting a bit rusty, but nothing concerning; a standard side salad. A couple beers to accompany the meal and we had a full belly! I'm giving this joint one star. Because I'm pretty sure I have some sort of food poisoning. Wow. You should have heard that fart. It was amazing. No BS. I had to take a poop in the restaurant immediately after eating the flavourless meal. Here I am 3 hours later n it's pretty epic. Almost want to post a pic of the diarrhea wet splatter that's exploding out of my rectum. I seriously don't recommend the carbonara to which I added a chicken breast and skewer of shrimp. Restaurant wasn't 20% full on a Friday night at 750p. 25 minutes later we got up and left...maybe short staffed, but not once was our party of 4 (who spent $160 at another restaurant) acknowledged for a drink, concern etc. Stay away. Not sure why all the negatives. This is the perfect place to eat in a chain hotel area if you are in town for business. Would I drive across town for it? Probably not... I have been here a few times, the most recent being a couple of days ago. The service here has always been fantastic. Last time we came, we had the bacon hush puppies as an appetizer and they were very good. I think they have changed their menu since the last time. I had the ribs, which are now smoked and they were very good. The ribs had improved since the last time I was here. My fiance had the chicken fajitas which seem to have gotten worse. They put rice in the fajitas and they didn't come out sizzling on a hot plate like they used. They also had watered down the ketchup and I hate when restaurants try to make more money by cheaping out. To me it is all the small things that separate the truly great places from the average and watered down ketchup shows the priorities are on the profits instead of good customer service. read more

Was in Sylvan Lake for a ball tourney and this place was the closest to the field. We came in with the intention of having a few beers and getting some food. An hour later we have one round of drinks.... No food and are leaving to go to Wendy's. I would recommend this place but I'm not a jerk. One star is probably a touch high. read more

Nick and Rebecca are pleasant and refreshing!!.....however, super, turbo, horrible music, almost fell asleep in my own tears from the sad songs that were playing early evening. I will never eat at the Mohave Grill again. I went there this morning for breakfast and ordered a cranberry juice with my meal. When I got to the bottom of the drink I noticed a live maggot floating in there. When I informed the waitress, she seemed annoyed and asked me haughtily, "what do you want me to say?!". Well, an apology would have been a nice start, but I didn't even get that. The Mohave Grill has lost my business and I hope, after reading this, they have lost your business too. read more

Food was mediocre at best. My steak was over cooked and burnt on the outside. I never not finish my steak but here I couldn't make it through. Service was also mid range. Our waitress disappeared for 20 min between getting our drinks and taking our order. Won't be a return customer that's for sure. read more
