Always a good time at Mohegan. They have been rebuilding some greens this year so I am looking forward to playing the course next year.

I was grateful to attend Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield CT …read more It was set out to be an elaborate dinner for a party of 100. Not sure if their holding hot box did not hold proper temperature but all hot food came out lukewarm. The duck with parsnip purer was mediocre at best . The duck was not browned off enough and came out warm . Parsnip puree was excellent flavor but also cold . The vichyssoise soup was very lite to no leeks at all . Thank god it was served cold like it was supposed to be . The pollack was supposed to be halibut filet but we received some other mystery fish that was non digestible . It did have a very nice thermadore sauce that was on point . Again, it was all served cold with some rice pilaf that was NOT pilaf and 3 haricot vert beans that were peeled . Then the salad , it arrived cold as it should have Belgium Endive filled with blue cheese . The frisée did not help the dish along with the raspberry coulis , it was a raspberry coulis . Several components missing . The salad needed work . Then came the petite Filet Mignon ( cold) with an instant red sauce reduction of some sort that was cheated , baby carrots were good but cold & the French cut potato -all cold . The lemon sorbet was good , topped with a fresh raspberry with a brown sugar crust on the rim . The dessert course was vanilla ice cream with a pignoli tart . The icream of good quality creamy , tart was a bit dry and looking for the pignoli nuts . This was supposed to be a French Dining experience honor the father of cookery - George August Escoffier. Wine was paired with each course - some were winners and others were mediocre at best . Service was excellent , cocktail hour was on the money , the selection of seafood on ice was a winner , carving station of veal loin , pork loin with choice of sauces was very well executed . The passed horduurves were all very well done . The Italian charcuterie of cold cuts and cheeses were very good and displayed nicely . The gulf shrimp were perfect size and peeled - U-15 shrimp are always a home run . I don't do oysters - too much risk involved in oyster consumption. Please bring a flashlight as the parking lot at night has NO LGHTS . Good luck finding your car . Recommend going back and giving them a second chance. It is a hidden gem .

Hi. This review is for a "celebration of life" reception we recently scheduled through the club…read morethat happened on the 4th of June, 2023. My wife and I scheduled a meeting with "Ines" who is the event planner and "David" who is the head chef for their events. They helped us coordinate exactly what we needed and the event went off without a hitch! (it was a reception for about 70 guests.) The room was decorated tastefully, the food was outstanding and the overall service was an 11 out of 10! The view of the golf course wasn't bad either! Thanks to Ines, David and the entire TB C/C staff! Kevin & Debbie M.

Saturday evening I called for res. for 7 1 1/2 hour before. Was told they were very busy with several parties. Mgr. checked an said he'd have a table but wait for food could be 1/2 hour. We arrived and all tables were full except the one for us with big RESERVED sign Were waited on in reasonable time and food was not overly delayed, despite the several large parties. Kudos for taking good care of us while managing a very busy load. Fish and chips huge and the best (13.95). Most expensive (24.95) was lobster and shrimp over linguine. It was delish, well cooked and had at least 5 large shrimp, 6 nuggets of lobster. Other dishes $17 - 23 were all great. Service was sup[erb! Waitress Jill and others who helped were friendly, attentive and really sweet to the 9 and 5 y.o. girls. House wine was decent and a good pour for $6. Special martini, $9, was well made. A superb experience for our little birthday celebration.

It's been probably 20 years since I've played this course, and now I remember why! I will NOT…read morereturn, nor can I recommend playing there. First, the price. $100 for greens fees with cart, for a Friday. Ridiculous and not justified! Likely were gouging with it being day before holiday. Second, starting everyone that day on the 10th tee. A reason for which no one there had the answer to. They said something about making the fturn and being able to get food at the grill, none of that was up and running that early anyway. Not good. Many groups were not happy about that either. We had a 0614 tee time and did not tee off till 0635. How in the world can you be that far off that early in the day? One reason is, no starter initially. That's no way to manage timely tee times and keeping pace. Third,, the course conditions were really bad. In particular, the tee boxes and greens! Many of the tee boxes had no grass at all. Standing in dirt trying to find a place to tee it up. Horrible!!!! The greens, many of which have disease all over them, are burnt, etc, which is just uncalled for. This can't just be blamed on a most recent heat wave as these problems have clearly existed for some time. Lastly, the course clearly has spent a fortune on their new golf carts, GPS, etc. Computer screens, and carts that will completely stop moving on their own if you happen to stray slightly off their "path". Speeds changing randomly on their own, etc. Very frustrating!! And unnecessary!! It's not that great a course that needs this kind of technology. Also, the little robotic lawn mowers all over the place are not that great either. The little things get in the way, do a crappy job, and are also not needed. Even to the point where you can see how their destroying the edges of the greens because they can't do as good a job as a human being. Put some grounds crews back to work and fix that! But now we know why it costs so much to play there. We're all paying for these unnecessary things. Instead, the owners should be spending that money on tee boxes and greens! And get rid of some of that unnecessary stuff. Again, NOT worth what they're charging, and conditions are not good!!
