I took my 2013 BMW here. The check engine light had come on. My boyfriend hooked the code reader up to the car and we thought it might have been an issue with the fuel rail sensor. I took my car here, my boyfriend was explaining what we thought the problem was. A man with dark hair had an attitude and said "So that's just what you think it is." This dude just had a tone. That's fine not everyone has good customer service. My car ended up just having a vacuum tube that had come unplugged. They plugged it back in and the check engine light went off and code went away. I would highly suggest only bringing your vehicle here if it is a simple fix. Communication between employees is not up to par - I would call in daily and get a different update/quote on my vehicle from each of the different front desk people. I was given a $850 quote from 1 front desk guy and $1700 from a different front desk guy a few days later for the same fix. I ended up calling a different shop and they quoted me $250 for the same fix. Also, I received 1 update on my car in the 2 weeks it was in the shop - I called the rest of the times. I'm not a one-star review girl, but I feel like folks deserve this heads up. read more

It's been a long day, even longer because of my interaction with Mohr's. Several moths ago, I had an object in my tire. A national car repair business refused to repair it because the tire- manufacture date was beyond what their corporate policy allowed them to repair. (They quickly advised me that they could sell me a new tire.) There was plenty of tread left on the tire, so I was determined to repair it. Though I was certainly not fan of John John's Automotive (the business bought by Mohr's), I decided to give them a chance. Perfect service! They removed my tire, repaired it and had me on the road in no time. So when I needed a diesel exhaust installed on my truck several months ago, I called Mohr's to ask if they did that sort of work. They told me they did, so I had the part ($3,500!!) shipped directly to Mohr's. They quickly replaced it and I picked up my truck. (Another long story about their odd refusal to cooperate in shipping back the core). They next day, it was obvious that my truck was not running.correctly, so I returned to Mohr's to have them re-examine it. After quite some time, the dark headed guy with the beard in the office told me about their diagnosis and informed me it would be almost $1,800 to repair. This on top of the $2,000+ cost of the exhaust installation. I agonized over whether to entrust my vehicle to the garage that I suspected had caused the problem, so I decided to limp the truck to a diesel mechanic in Crestview. They put it on a lift and found that an electrical connector had been broken such that it wouldn't "click" into the receptacle and retain the connection. The connector had to be removed to install the new exhaust, so it was definitely the fault of Mohr's. The diesel mechanic charged me $157 for the repair. I called Mohr's to tell them of their damage to the vehicle and subsequent (and expensive) misdiagnosis, fully expecting a defensive denial of responsibility. Instead, the young lady in the office told me, "We sincerely apologize and hope you will give us a chance to re-earn your trust." I was greatly surprised and impressed at the response. So much so that I didn't write the scathing review I thought they richly reserved. So this morning, i realized my truck was rapidly leaking.diesel fuel. I made it to Mohr's before running out of fuel (about 1130) went inside and explained my problem to the owner. He told me it was Friday and it would be several hours before they could look at it, no earlier than 2:30. I thought, well, my dumb luck. What else can i do? While I waited for my daughter to arrive from Pensacola, I waited in the waiting room. About 1 o'clock, I got bored so I walked outside to see if they had gotten to my truck. They had moved it to the back lot, but not into the work bay. With nothing else to do, I stood outside the door and watched the mechanics working. After about 20 minutes the dark haired bearded guy from my previous visit walked into the work area. Noticing me just standing around outside, he asked "what do you want?" and I told him I was just waiting for my truck to be diagnosed. I told him that I noticed only two mechanics working in the eight work bays and that I was not hopeful that my truck was going to get diagnosed today. He then POINTED HIS FINGER AT ME (!) and said that they did not guarantee they would be able to look at it today. I asked him not to point his finger at me. He replied that he had not pointed his finger "like that" and told me I could always just take my vehicle and leave. I replied that, come to think of it, I would do just that; please bring my truck from the back lot. Resolution: I took the truck to another auto repair shop a couple of miles down the road. He quickly diagnosed it as a cracked fuel filter housing and located a new part at Advanced Auto Parts a quarter mile away. Because it was nearly 2:30, my daughter and I drove to get the new part while he removed the old one. After we returned, he had the new part installed within 30 minutes, then tested it for leaks. No leaks and I was back on the road. Go Beachside Auto Repair! Mohr's squandered their opportunity to re-earn my trust. Why they would tell me they could get to my vehicle when they only had two mechanics working, I have no idea. I understand the job market is tight and they are unable to adequately staff their business but misleading me is beyond the pale. And pointing a finger at me? No thank you. I don't tolerate that or anyone snapping their fingers at me. Im never trusting my vehicle to Mohr's again. read more

Alexander Electric Co. in Columbus ,GA. One of our service vans broke down 15 minutes away from. Mohrs Automotive (4 hours away from home). They found the fuel pump was bad and repaired it in a good amount of time. They put up with my calling and calling and calling. I appreciate them very much. Good job! read more

I have been a customer of Mohr's for the past few years. Not only do I take my car I refer everyone I know to go there for servicing. I also work for a large family here locally and take all of their cars as well, so in total 7 cars. They have ALWAYS given me the BEST price, the BEST customer service and the BEST completed mechanical work. Shout out to Kati for always being professional and helpful! Once she called to say they had inspected a car and couldn't fix it, they didn't charge for the the diagnose and then referred me to the dealership. This is a tough one. I've been taking my wife's and my daughter's cars here since 2019 for routine repairs and maintenance. Always polite, professional and within what I figured was the "reasonable" price range for the area. Based on those experiences I'd probably give 'em 4 1/2 stars. But a few weeks back I was given a $1,300 quote for suspension work that seemed a little suspect, so I held off and called around. Ultimately I ended up taking my vehicle to Crestview where I had the exact same work done for $480.00. That experience now has me questioning my business with this garage over the past 5 years. Disappointing because had that not occurred they basically had a customer for life. read more

Had to have blower of ac fixed while on vacation in August 2024. Was charged $700- took back twice due to ac still not working . Left early 8/3 stopped working by Freeport . Took to dealer and this is what they said : Hey David its XXXXX at XXXXX Ford.. Got your truck in and found that the wiring under the dash for the blower speed controller has been cut/spliced, and replaced but when he removed the plug you can see that there is heat damage inside the blower motor speed controller.. recommending to replace speed controller, install some electrical grease and reinstall it. parts and labor you are looking at $526.65 and i can have it ready today.. Mohrs said that they REPLACED THE PLUG $700 WTH was REPLACED!!!! BEWARE !!!! YOU WILL BE SCAMMED HERE read more

Have used Mohrs on multiple occasions in last 18 mos. Most recently had tires mounted and an alignment. The car drives beautifully now. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I wish the would allow appointments but if you get there when they open, they are pretty expeditious. Prices are very reasonable. They are my go to place for small automotive jobs. read more

My car's a/c wasn't cold. They replaced my compressor with another faulty one, and refused to fix it, even though it's under warranty. I've fought with them all summer long, but they won't make it right. They are all liars and scammers, though they pretend to be a nice family business. Let me start this off by saying I usually do all of my own work on my vehicle. I'm pretty self mechanically-inclined. This is the first car I've owned. So suspension work would be easier if a shop was able to get me in and get it looked at and taken care of. I went up there to get a quote. And to get an idea of what the noise was coming from my front end. I leave it there most of the day. I get it back and nobody knows what the front end noise is... I thought this was part of the job. Diagnosis for when you can't just plug in an OBDII reader. Anyway. Paid 100 bucks for nothing. They quoted me on suspension parts because of my mileage not because they saw anything wrong with it. That was approximately $1700 for labor and OEM parts. Please tell me who has that on hand without a trust fund from mommy and daddy. Below 25. Point made within itself. Here's what they couldn't hear coming from the car as well. Went to crestview. 500 on the high end for parts and labor. Sounds like they shot prices up for nothing. read more

Charged over $200 for a battery for a 2018 Mazda and $75.00 to change it! They said they gave the price before installing but they did not! Auto Zone changes battery's for free and their battery cost is less than half of this place! These people are a total rip off. Avoid them at all costs. read more

In Jan 2022 our battery died in SEAGROVE & it was initially hard to get help! No wreckers were available. Amazing people who were parked next to us wouldn't leave till they got us jump started Forever grateful!! We went straight to John-John Automotive in Destin ( they were recommended to us). WOW!!! What can I say these guys are awesome! I got a screw in my tire while on vacation and needed a repair, I went to Goodyear and Wal-Mart Automotive and both big corp places were rude! I was told I needed an appointment and it would be the next day if no appointment. These guys worked me in knowing this was an somewhat of an emergency situation. I was originally told it would be hours before they could get to me and when the guy behind the counter saw I was going to Uber back to the condo he took it on himself to get my car back ASAP. I was fine with waiting about an hour. These guys were great and would recommend anyone to come here first before messing around with any big chains that treat you like a number. read more

While camping at a nearby campground over the holiday weekend my husbands truck would not start. We are not from the area and had no idea of a local mechanic to call. After contacting Mohrs' they confirmed they could take a look at it. We had it towed to them on Wednesday afternoon in hopes we could get it taken care of by Friday because we had to check out of the campground Saturday. Not only did he get it fixed by Friday, they personally offered to bring a cell phone back to the campground that was forgotten in the truck when it was towed, and Tony worked past closing Friday evening to make sure he got it done for us and to make sure everything was working appropriately. I would recommend them a million times to anyone and would definitely use them again when we are ever back in the area. read more

I read a reivew they fixed a screw in his tire, I GOT SCREWEDD by these guys! If it is other than a tire fix DON'T BOTHER! You will get the screw and the shaft from these supposed Mechanics. I have been having my3 cars maintenance work done at John John's for 5 years with outstanding customer service and priced fair. This week I had some carburetor work done there by new owners or new management. They told me that they would make sure that my Jeep- without top -is kept inside if it was a chance of rain. Friday afternoon after I left it in their care I got a call stating that I need to come get it because it was going to rain. Just the opposite of what I was told when I left it. My point is these guys can't be trusted to do what they say. I asked to be informed before any work was done and that also didn't happen, I was overcharged an hour for a diagnostic work when I told them the problem when I left it. 300 plus dollars later for a new set of 6 over priced spark plugs and a long wait when I showed up to get it and it still runs bad. These guys never answer when you call nor do they respond to their own voice mail system. If you are thinking about have anything done here trust me and go elsewhere!, the new mgmt lacks communication and are not reliable, they are however overpriced and will gouge you when possible. read more

Had a screw in my tire. Took it in and they stated that couldnt repair it due to the condition of the tire. It's a 2015 car. Stated tire was in poor condition to plug. Ended up buying 2 tires new for 500 dollars. Wanted 1000 for 4. 2 weeks later get another screw in new tire. Charged 40 to plug it. Had to make appt for following day. Seems overpriced. The only reason why this got any stars is because of Jeff! He has excellent customer service skills and was extremely polite and personable. I recently brought my car in because the AC went out. The mechanic gave me a quote of over $1300. I almost told them to keep the car. I went to Trib's automotive for a second opinion (thank God) and they said I just had a minor leak. They fixed it at NO CHARGE. Car runs fine now. So I went from a bill of over $1300 to having to pay $0. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION. read more
