About 6 months later, my car was giving me similar issues so I called them up to let them know what was going on, but that I was no longer in Destin. Destin Imports located a car shop in my home city, contacted them for me, and arranged for my alternator to be replaced again under the warranty. They followed up daily to ensure that it got done correctly and took care of everything for me. As a young female, it is very very hard to find a car place to trust, but these guys have gone above and beyond!!! I would highly recommend to anyone. ABSOLUTE HORROR , NIGHTMARE, THERE ARE NO WORDS. Something that was supposed to be helpful turned into an absolute nightmare and because they didn't want to investigate. It cost me thousands instead of pushing a button in the glove box. They took apart my car convertible and did not put it together correctly. My top would not close and all it was was a button in the glove box that I didn't know about and yet they took my convertible apart and did not take the time and CARE to see what the problem really was, [[HIGHLIGHT]]they put it back together and was very abusive when I addressed the issue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It will cost me $1000 when it was just a BUTTON that needed to be pushed. I HAVE 1000 SCREWS, PIECES THAT ARE FOR THE CONVERTIBLE THROWN IN THE TRUNK AND WITH ABSOLUTE DISREGARD FOR ANY responsibility or for their actions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Staff was friendly, prices were fair, they changed my oil and brakes with no issues[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but failed to fix the ticking/low boost problem I brought it in for (BMW N54). The owner called me after a week to say the ticking was coming from the bottom of the car, not the top, and needed new cams/bearings for $3k or it could catastrophically fail. I agreed. The ticking is still there, and it's painfully obvious (they said they test drove it and it was fine). [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called five times over the course of two weeks trying to speak to someone about it to find out whether I should bring it back in or not. The manager said I wasn't allowed to speak to a mechanic, but he'd have someone call. No one called.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've maintained this BMW myself since 2018, so I decided to run the diagnostic myself. It ended up being a completely different problem, so I'll be taking it elsewhere to get the repair done. It would have helped me tremendously to know if the cams/bearings were actually out of limits, but they didn't even bother documenting it on the bill. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a car repair facility. They could not do what they promised. They took payment and asked me to return so they could finish. I took it back two more times and they could not do the job. If you look at their records with the State of Florida they had to file for reinstatement twice. If they cant afford to file their annual reports and do the proper paperwork then what else are they failing to do. Go to SUNBIZ.org. Look up Destin Imports and you can see for yourself. ‼ if i could give a negative star review i would. i came to them in desperate need because my top would not go up and it was gonna rain. paul seemed like he wanted to help but they did not help. they were extremely negligent, hurtful both in a financial and mental situation. i do not recommend in any way shape or form. they will take your money and send you on your way whether the problem is fixed or not (unless they think they can get way more money out of you) my situation could've easily be remedied by just doing a little research, assessing the situation and caring. they tore my car apart in the trunk with all of the panels that are connected to the convertible. they just threw it in the trunk after getting it up so that the rain would not come in, they forcibly shut the trunk unbeknownst to me because it was raining when i left. they did not care. i was so horrified i went to paradise imports ‼ when i showed up at their repair shop and told them another shop really botched the job. they immediately said you must've come from destin imports i could not believe what they said i gave no hints as to where i had come from or what shop. they get a lot of jobs that are done incorrectly and had to fix many many cars due to their negligence. ( they really did say you must be coming from destin imports. we get lots of cars that we fix from there and they were not fed mouthing him. they were just being honest ) paul refused to refund my money so that i could go elsewhere to get it fixed correctly. I needed a shop to install my tow hitch for my Tesla model 3. I walked in their shop to inquire about installing the tow hitch on my vehicle, they were very informative, very professional and pricing was very fair. One week later I drop off my vehicle and same day got my car back, they did a very good job, very clean work and very impressed! John and Tony were courteous and prompt. Each time I've visited with my two vehicles, someone has been in the main office to greet me. I brought my GTI in for a new water pump, and a mass air flow sensor. I also brought in our CTS for a center support bearing replacement. Rather than replace the sensors in the GTI they removed, inspected, and cleaned them and the fault was resolved. They also removed a rock that had been rattling around in my rotor. I was charged for neither, and the price I paid was lower than the estimate on both occasions. I will be returning for a transmission service, and will likely be a return customer in the future. read more

On vacation here in our 03 Jetta tdi and overcharged my AC by my own stupidity. Compressor started making a funny noise and no AC=unhappy family. Called several places and 2 instantly told me it was probably a bad compressor over the phone. Destin imports got me in quickly and assessed what was going on with the AC. These guys are awesome. Extremely nice and honest. The owner really knows his stuff. I have a 2003 BMW 325i. The power steering pump broke, and the dealership quoted me $5,000 to fix it, and $12,000 to fix all the error codes coming up. Needless to say, that was out of the question. My car sat undriven for almost 3 years. I finally decided to get a second opinion before junking it... In come Destin Imports, where they fixed everything on the dealer's list, plus everything that had deteriorated in the driveway for 3 year, plus all the fluids, lines and gaskets, plus some body work (headlights, emblems etc) for $5,000. I had an engine light pop on about a week after taking it home. I called up, and the owner said he would stick around after hours if I wanted to bring it by. He told me it was some emissions pump, and it wouldn't affect how it drove. He could have easily squeezed a couple hundred out of me to fix it, but didn't. Can't say enough about this shop. Destin imports has been my go to with my Audi A4 regular service and maintenance needs! Tony is awesome and very knowledgeable with these line foreign cars. I've had a full transmission flush service completed, regular scheduled maintenance and recently, a jerking/jumping issue fixed after getting a full tune up.. which I thought was the transmission. (Torque converter or clutch) They were able to diagnose that it was a faulty injector and had me back on the road the same day.. with no extra cost! Also.. Trucked a fussy Mercedes down to 30A from Colorado to have as a grocery-getter. Engine light came on after three days of driving it (of course). Took it into a PCB service shop where they connected it to the computer. They came back with 'vacuum leak from the intake manifold, cost to replace $4,150'. I about fainted. Thought I'd get a second opinion and called Destin Imports where I spoke with Tony. Didn't tell him about the first quote but told him about the engine light coming on. He found the problem was a leaking gasket on the manifold (my understanding). Gave me a FREE loaner car to use and fixed the problem. These guys are honest, hard-working (first time I called the shop, Tony answered), extremely fair and EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE. I wish everything in this country ran like this shop. I was in Destin to close on a condominium this past weekend June 29, 2018 when my 2014 Audi TT started sputtering when I tried to start it. I asked around and was told by a friend to go to Destin Imports. Turned out it was the best move I could make. I called and Tony said to bring to car by as soon as I could and he would look at it right away. I got my car to him around 4:45 pm. Tony told me he closed at 6:00 and to go to dinner he would call me when he checked it out. I spoke to him at 5:50 and he told me not to rush he was going to stay a bit later and he would call me in a few minutes. When he called me he said you can come and get your car it was ready. When I returned to his shop he said he did a complete diagnostic check on my car and also checked the alternator and battery. He asked me if I had recently gotten gas and I had he thought it was a bit of water in the gas and recommended I get some octane booster for it. He also said when you get home change the plugs and coils. I asked him what my charge was and he shook my hand and told me no charge and said when you move in your condominium come back and see me. I got the octane booster and drove back to Orlando on Sunday. My car drove perfectly without any problems. I highly recommend Tony and his crew at Destin Imports. Great service on my BMW X3. We are "Snow Birds" from NY and could have been taken advantage of by a less reputable shop, considering my lack of mechanical skills. Just the opposite. Tony solved my problem quickly and economically. He also pointed out a leak that my NY service center should noticed during an inspection just a few weeks earlier.
