Moises is the only establishment for which I am writing a third review to date and it is a tribute to this cigar lounge's unique qualities. Moises is consistently a great place to come, relax, be treated like family, and enjoy one of the best spaces in all of the boroughs of NYC. The air quality remains very breathable, rivaled only by Club Macanudo in NYC, and leaves your clothing relatively free of aftersmoke. It's a place to take your date, knowing she will not complain of smoke in her clothing and hair. It was a regular Saturday night for the preamble of summer. The domino tiles were being smacked down on the tables inside and one should not venture over there unless you got real game. The expansive back patio was open and many folks opted for the well lit cool pre summer night air. The salsa, merengue, and bachata were pumping; flat screens showed a game the Yankees saved by a run; and the place was lit. This was a regular night, relaxed and easy, service with a smile, just what the doctor ordered for busy New Yorkers on their grind. That's the nature of Moises. There are so many great nights up there. They celebrate birthdays. Sometimes they mark the beginning or end of summer with catered and grilled food, which happens for summer birthdays. Sometimes someone is promoting their cigars, hats and spirits. About once a month or so, they will have someone perform there. If it's a particularly important fight night or playoff game or any other major sports championship, it's going to be something happening. Next thing you know, the sun is rising. Given I am not as young as I used to be and given my work schedule and responsibilities, I do not permit myself to stray from a disciplined and process oriented approach to everything..., except Moises. It's a place where I make it an evening that often becomes morning. Moises makes the magic happen. Five stars! read more

Let me start of by saying I know the owner Moises....Such a professional and gentlemen!!! I recently went to this place to purchase a couple of cigars. I was greeted by "Victor" the "new management" as he put it. I asked for two Acid cigars and he had no idea what I was talking about so I said do you have flavored cigars? He stated yes and directed me to the flavored cigars. He gave me the Acid cigars I asked for and called it Aseed. I purchased them and noticed they were kinda dry, so I asked "Victor" "New Management" why are the dry? Are they old? (Hear me out... Normally I wouldn't get them but I trust Moises because I have been going to him for two years) "Victor" "New Management" stated no, because they are flavored cigars it makes the cigar's texture like that. I said okay cool. I went about my business and 20 minutes later I met my boy and we attempted to smoke. I kid you not I barley touched the cigar with the puncher and it shattered like burnt paper. My boy tried and he had the same result. I took pictures and threw the cigar away. Two days later I called the shop and asked for "Victor" "New Management" and he said, yes this is he. I explained my issue and reminded him that he stated " flavored cigars it makes the cigar's texture like that" and that they were not old. I spent 20 bucks and I was upset that he gave me old cigars, pissing in the air telling me it's rain. He said bring the cigar in. I told him "I threw it away it was old but I took pictures." Then he told me "ahhhh man that's too bad you don't have the cigar there's nothing I can do for you." I said lets make a deal... I'll come now and I want you to punch the Acid and if it cracks you give me two cigars if not I will pay for it... Guess what the cigar CRACKED and he only gave me one cigar.... HAVE A NICE LIFE.... Friendly staff, great selection of cigars which are stored and cared for appropriately. Today was my 1st visit but I will be back! I ended up buying a few villiger talango's which I am lookin fwd to trying for the 1st time. I went with my boyfriend to hang with him and just chill. We have been to many other cigar lounges but this one is just not good. You leave smelling like nothing but cigars from head to toe. I get it it's a cigar lounge but they need more air purifiers or something! You can literally see the smoke clouds in the air. Service is very weak. They catered more to the "regulars" yet everyone there is spending money. You have to ask for everything you need. I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Moises cigars is a location unlike any other, ton of cigar selections and an atmosphere that is second to none. A classy/ semi casual lounge that offers a variety of music choices. The highlight of this space is the house blend cigars, hand rolled by master roller Felix who has been in the business for over 45 years. Working with the likes of Arturo Fuente in his prime years directly. My personal favorite is the Churchill, 10 bucks a stick and you're in cigar paradise. Other house blend favs are the Hemingway and the double corona. Cigars range from #$6 - $55. Neighborhood is very calm at night but can be very busy during the afternoon as the kids from Kennedy high school hang out at the corner store nearby and the bus stop. All in all I am here every day, best part of my work week. I'm a regular so I get treated very well...the shop is under new ownership, so far so good. read more

I yelped this place after I had bought a cigar. I was alarmed once I read one of the other reviews on a flavored cigar since I had bought a Drew estate Tabak. My experience was different. Cashier was friendly and helpful. Cigar was excellent! Will go back I do recommend. read more
