At one point everyone started praying out loud and a lady forced me on the stage and made me kneel on the floor and started praying random things over me. I was so uncomfortable. Another lady invited us to dinner with a few members and she was very sweet but when we got there again, Men and women had to be separate and couldn't eat together. Towards the end everyone started yelling out random prayers for a good 30 minutes and it was just a jumble of loud noise. It was just weird to me because I've never seen Christians act that way before. After reading all of these articles about this place I can in fact agree that the vibes were really off about this place, I would talk to others about my experience there all the time.

I found this church interesting enough from their website that I decided to drive an hour to get…read morethere. I was glad I did. I was thankful for the people who welcomed me as I entered the building and the worship team member who took the initiative to learn my name before the service started when spotting that I was sitting alone. When the service started, there was professional quality multimedia infused in the service, consisting of everything from video backdropped song lyrics to video announcements. The service had a guest preacher from Louisiana, a pastor from one of the churches that sponsored/planted this community. The message was well organized on God's dreams and timing. There was a good blend of teaching, anecdotes and scripture to keep the congregation engaged. It was very meaningful. The congregation seemed familiar with each other and there was a push for small group community. Dress was mostly casual (t-shirt and jeans) and had a very down to earth feel to it. There are 4 services which seat about 300 or so a piece, so the church, which is a few years old, seems to be thriving. A couple nitpicky things: the worship music was all new to me (possibly in house produced?) so putting credits on the lyric slides could help someone look them up ... and also the drums (although well executed) need to be more enclosed with screens to give the audio engineering more balance. Right now they are drowning the vocals and other instruments a bit. Overall a really great experience and I would recommend the church to those in the area looking for a church home.

The church teaches that Christians should support the secular state of Israel and frames support for Judaism as something Christians ought to affirm. From a Baptist, Bible-centered perspective, this is not something I cannot agree with. The Bible is clear about the betrayal and position of the modern Jew. It felt like political/theological pressure rather than clear gospel teaching. I'm sharing this for others who hold traditional Baptist convictions and want to avoid surprises.

I also like the children chapel, my grandson can use the restroom and we can listen to the mass as a family. Everyone there is so nice and so understanding. They have so many programs that would help in so many different areas of our lives. They don't pressure you to do them but they have them available if you want them. The way Father Chris preaches, it's so relatable to everyone, you just get it. I've been going to this church now for over seven years, I even enrolled my children into the St. Joseph Catholic Academy. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

There are no hymnals, but they do have lyrics displayed on big screens. There is a three-part voice harmonic, well-prepared worship team. They encourage the assembly to worship and praise to God. The pastor lead us in song as well. There is a mixture of Gospel, praise and worship style music. There were some I heard before and I learned some new songs. For example: There is only one name You are my strength, strength like no other. Hope of glory one day I will get ... Just to know him, just to know him The ushers have been respectful, accommodating, and very welcomIng like family you hadn't seen in a long time. During Lockdown service, personal protection equipment await in a table near the door for those who choose to partake. There is ample space for social distancing. There were no tithes and offering collected physically. The ministry is collecting online temporarily. The congregants bring their Bibles, but the ministry also has extra Bibles to loan. The pastor lead them in declaration, and his prayers are bold and strong. The preacher, a military vet, solidly preached from the King James Bible Version. His style reminds me of Kenneth Hagin. The pastor emphatically packed in a lot of information and word meanings where it was relevant. Although serious, his enthusiastic style and word play makes the people laugh, keep engaged, and shout "amen" and "hallelujah". He and his wife are down-to-earth and passionate for his congregation to learn. You will feel encouraged to face the day. After service you can have a question-answer session with them. The ministry gifted me some media to take home, and it was very good mix of teaching from different people. I offered to pay for them, but they lovingly assured me it wasn't necessary. I later received a touching thank you letter via snailmail. If you want to mature in the Word, WOK may be the place for you.
