A scene from a movie was played on the screen during the How to: Stay Married series on 1/24/24 posted online (but the movie clip's audio is muted during the recording). It contained a speech with a significant number of profanities or swear words, praising hookup culture, and getting drunk. Austin said it was a great speech, although I couldn't tell if he was joking; he seemed to love it. He did not though speak on those aspects of the speech; as if that was acceptable behavior.

On the way home, I considersd other ministry's names, such as "Helping Hands;" (sounds kinda like a Lions Club group or something.) But Love of Christ focused on meeting my needs. And they definetly live by God's words found in James, 2:14-17. I was raised a Baptist country preacher's kid. But today I am a moderate, independent, non-denominational believer. And thank God we still have a denomination in our community who isn't looking at the mirrored side of a one-way mirror, because others see through the glass and often see christians who set poor examples. Not at Love of Christ. I mean, free ice cream and toys for the kids! Now that's true love for others, folks-- just like the love of a feller who died with only a torn robe, a pair of well-worn sandles, and a crown-of-thorns to his name.
