After agreeing to their rate, the owner (Chris) and I were texting immediately to firm up details (he's very responsive). During that conversation, I mentioned my only concern was the negative reviews I read about. He mentioned transparently he was dealing with family and personal matters the previous year that's since been handled. Otherwise, he was very clear on his insurance coverage, timing, pricing, and necessary details. Because of COVID19, finalizing my home purchase became a nightmare with my move-out/move-in date changing. Chris was extremely flexible, understanding and adjusted things to meet my needs. He was sincere, helpful and completely understood what was happening. In the midst of chaos, he was honestly one of the more calming components of a major home purchase/move. Very local-kamaaina-way of helping me out and being fair. In the end - not one box or piece of furniture was damaged. Everything transported on time, in perfect condition. The two guys were awesome, helpful and took good care of our stuff. They made sure all our main furniture items were arranged where we wanted them. I explained I had a 2bdrm, 2bath apartment with a digital keyboard and piano and asked if they could help. I explained that I had limited mobility issues due to an injury and that time was of the essence. She said absolutely they could help and that their rate was $280 per hour for a truck and 2 movers with a 2 hour minimum. She told me that for the 2 people it would be another $280 per hour and said once they assessed the apartment, an additional person would be $50 per hour. Although their website stated they were women owned and operated, only men showed up on the day of the move. I found out shortly afterwards that they were actually subcontractor who worked for a completely separate company. They did not appear to be knowledgeable about packing and stuffed my clothes which were hanging in plastic bags into other plastic bags to take to the truck. When a worker saw the piano, Carol was called and she told me there would be an additional charge and it couldn't be moved until the next week. I did have that kind of time. That was when one of the workers told me that I could speak with his boss to get a quote to move the piano separate from 808ASAP Movers. That caught me off guard as the quote that I originally received included moving the piano. This resulted in a lot of confusion, chaos, and raised voices. I then negotiated with the other workers boss to try to coordinate getting the piano out. Meanwhile, the person who was packing did not pack properly and broke a lot of my dishes and glasses, along with other things. After my belongings were moved to the new apartment, they left trash behind, and a trail of rubbish all the way down the stairs. A person from my former apartment complex came and took pictures and was going to fine me for the cleanup. A lot of my things were broken in the move as I discovered after unpacking in the new apartment....apparently since they did not have a dolly and carried things by hand or either dragged things to the truck. I repeatedly asked for a paid invoice after the move and was treated in the the most unprofessional and rude way Imaginable, even to the point of being threatened by a woman named Ally on the phone. After calling and emailing Carol for a copy of the paid invoice which is pretty standard practice by any reputable company, they blocked my number and would not answer or return any of my calls or emails. When I tried calling the Alabama number, it referred back to the Hawaii number. When I went to their physical address, it was actually an apartment complex, called the Oasis in Waipahu and not an industrial park or any commercial establishment. That by itself is a huge RED FLAG! When I checked with the Better Business Bureau, I discovered they have a number of complaints and have been operating without the proper license and insurance is for years. This is horrible! For any and all unsuspecting customers. When I called the contractor who actually did the move, I was met with the same rude and obnoxious behavior. Apparently they saw my phone number and would not answer or take my calls after I explained my dilemma with them in seeking a copy of a paid invoice. When I called a reputable competitor to find out what their rate would be to move a two bedroom two bath apartment with the piano, their rate was much less than $560 an hour I was charged by this unlicensed and uninsured company. I would absolutely never recommend this group of people who are putting themselves out as Movers to anyone not even my worst enemy! On top of that, they broke a lot of things, a lot of my furniture, including dishes, and left a mess which I have included below. I feel that this group of people took advantage of my situation, my limited mobility issues, and the stress I was under, and leveraged it to their benefit. This is not OK. Not in Hawaii. We had to use this company as it was assigned to us for a government move. Pieces and parts were found in various places that made us look through every box to piece together our items. It took me weeks to put together my computer monitors because the base, the parts, and the screens were all in different boxes. As we started to put things together, we realized that they just ripped things apart. For example, the electrical components of my treadmill were just ripped from the base, I had to pay someone to come out and repair it. Also, wood units had bolts literally broken; these were not difficult to unscrew, but I guess they decided they didn't care and just broke them instead of taking them apart carefully. Now I have things I can't even use. After disassembling all our lamps and placing the pieces in various boxes, they did not carefully pack the lampshades; most of them arrived broken. Some of my lamps are antiques and cannot be replaced. Also, lamp shades are not cheap, and now I have several lamps without shades that I need to replace. Overall, they were lazy, inconsiderate, and left us with several repair/replacement costs and unusable items that could have been avoided. I'm incredibly frustrated and caution anyone who decides to use this company. Would NOT RECOMMEND.

Treyse texted me back immediately and asked many good questions so he could send me a quote right away. The quote was very reasonable considering he and two others each had a large pick up truck for the moving of two sofas, coffee table, large end tables from one home in Kunia to Mililani and a queen bed from another home in town to Mililani. They are also insured. A couple days prior to the move Treyse texted to confirm date, times and amount quoted. Very thorough so no misunderstandings. On day of move he texted when they were on their way and arrived promptly at first destination. They were all very polite and careful young men in high school, all wore gloves and brought padding and coverlets for the glass tops and couches to prevent any raindrops. I followed them to the home and they all three drove very carefully, using turn signals, not following too close, and found the place easily. Unloading was quick and easy for them, they hui first to make sure they know who's doing what and where. We tipped them out as we loved seeing teenagers being so responsible and respectful to kupuna. Treyse handed us business cards and it also said they take items to the dump for you. We will be sure to use PMO and Treyse again for more moving needs and taking things to the dump.
