From my first class their as someone who barely knew what Crossfit was I felt so welcome and the coaches and other athletes in the class enthusiastically met me where I was at and pushed me at my own pace towards my own aspirations. Beyond that, going to class was one of the parts of my day that I looked forward to the most simply because I would get to see the people that I quickly called my friends and the workout was an added bonus. The only reason I'm leaving the gym is because I have to move away for work, but it will be a part of my day that I truly miss!

I'm not a natural athlete. Never have been. I was that kid that actually tried to get hit during dodgeball so I could be out of the game and watch safety from the sidelines. So you can understand my wariness of crossfit and the "cult mentality" that makes it so easy to make fun of on social media. But wandering in those doors one afternoon last fall (knowing no one or nothing about crossfit) was one of the best happenstance events of my life. Me before Bombers: bony, underweight, with no muscle tone due to unhealthy restrictive eating, no knowledge of how to do anything with a bar, couldn't do one push up. Terrible lack of confidence in my coordination, body, and athletic abilities. Now? I've become so much more confident in myself both athletically and as a person. I eat more. I can do RX pull-ups, push ups, and even pistols (on one leg, that is. Still working on the other leg). I had to buy all new pants because of my quad gains. But most importantly? I've made some of the best friends I've ever had. The coaches at Bombers are incredibly kind, personable, and approachable. They WILL do whatever it takes to help you succeed. They're motivating, affirming, and just downright good people. Bottom line: It doesn't matter what your level of fitness is. Don't think you can't do crossfit because you're not at a "certain point." You CAN. And Bombers is the place to do it. Just show up.

Wow, is all I can say!…read more I found this gem through Facebook actually as their target market. I was intrigued by their "Six Week New You Challenge", so for what I think is fair $250.00 for six weeks, I joined. I joined so early I had to wait like four weeks before beginning, it was such a long four week wait but so worth it! The classes for the New You were in the evenings and weekend. They were women's only and smaller groups which helped with learning. The coaches ROCK! They are fantastic, they critique you and help you in anyway they possibly can! During my 6 weeks i went on vacation and they accommodated me by providing workouts to do while away. My New You I dropped 2% body fat, 20 inches all around and 12 lbs :) I am now a silver member and just cannot get enough. I go about 3x a week right now striving for 4, but i'm just always so sore I have to rest :) If there were only more days in the week! I did try out the closest crossfit gym to here, and while it IS cheaper it is not even in the same league as this gym. The coaches here are dedicated to your workout and there workouts vary everyday including the warmups. Try it you won't be disappointed!

Burn Boot Camp just recently opened up and I am so grateful to have my new "Burn Family". Emily is an amazing trainer and her energy mixed with her attitude, dedication and motivation makes it such a wonderful atmosphere. Not only does she keep you on your toes and make you push harder than you thought you could, she will entertain you. Burn uses body weight exercises and uses dumbells, bands, burn bars, the rig, and other items. I feel it is a mix between crossfit (much safer and not so strenuous on your joints) and a bootcamp class. If your looking for a change and want a gym to fulfill your needs and you like class based gyms this is for you. They offer many sessions to include 5am which is very hard to come by in the area. They also have "Childwatch" that is included with your membership for certain times of the day. Give it a try you will not be disapointed.

I greatly miss my days here and it's very disappointing I moved to where I can't attend the gym several times a week like I used too. As well the culture Daniel has built at his gym is one of a kind and is truly a family. Everyone is there to help you and to push you to be your best because everyone sees the potential in everyone. The self discipline I was taught has truly shaped me into the young man I am today, I know for a fact I wouldn't be the same person without boxing and especially without DMC Boxing Academy. Not to mention they keep their gym in extremely good shape with new equipment and everyone is taught to clean up after themselves and sanitize everything that you use. The gym was always clean and never smelled. I want to share a core memory of mine here which was getting into the ring, then throwing up (I made it to the toilet), and then getting right back in the ring and going at it again. Now this wasn't forced, but it's what I wanted, and that takes heart & self discipline, which again I wouldn't of had without this gym.
