Ian also explained the insurance limitations for a level 3 backup when the homeowner insurance as written neglects to reference the HOA master policy. Overall EC Restoration works better with homeowners than the big national water remediators, which is why our adjuster uses this business. We are lucky to have them for this (hopefully) once in a lifetime event.

Screw that dear fan, call these guys (after you call your public adjuster)! They came into my house late on a Friday evening. Pumped out the water, isolated everthing that had been destroyed into sealed plastic bags for the adjuster, put the rest up on blocks, wiped and sterilized everything from the doorknob in, and set up enough fans to have my home hovering lazily an inch above the ground. Over the next two days they were in and out verifying anything further that needed to be tossed and that everything remaining was dry and clean. They were professional, polite, and I would use them again in a snap.

While other contractors said they needed to tear open the walls, or re-do the entire French drain (requiring us to spend tens of thousands of dollars in treatment and then renovation), Tom laid out a plan that was completely affordable, so that we wouldn't have to spend one dollar more than we had to. He left an industrial dehumidifier running at no extra charge to see how managing the air would help. In the end, we spent very little on mold remediation, and he offered good advice on how to continue to have a clean and safe finished basement
