We selected them because of their experience and long history in the community. We thought they would be knowledgeable and stand behind their work. Boy were we wrong! Their subcontractor botched the installation. within a few months, we had adhesive constantly oozing from the cracks in the lvt, damaging the equipment placed over it and posing a slip and fall risk for our customers. We met with Sergenians staff several times once we figured out what was happening. They were either unwilling or unable to come up with solutions and suggested that we are somehow responsible for the problem which is absurd. They also interfered when we tried to get tech support from their adhesive supplier. Don't assume that longevity necessarily means better reliability or quality! We paid a premium for a shoddy installation that they were unwilling to stand behind.

The entire project was to take 4 weeks and they were here for almost 5 months and just wanted to wrap things up. They also installed the tile in our back entry butting up to the wood floors, we told them how the door was going to be installed and the tile/wood was still installed incorrectly with the seam of the two showing when you close the door. The final straw was we needed to have 3 - 12x24 tiles replaced in our shower from an issue with our plumber, the quote from Melissa was $1200. When asked about the price we received the response, "Based on our experience in working insurance claim projects, what we have bid is easily within the bounds of what would be covered, so the plumber should have no problems with the claim." The $1200 was just for the removal/replacement of the 3 tiles and didn't include the tile that was needed. At that point we called it quits. The photos attached are of showers that have never been used, this is the final product.

I can't tell you how pleased we are with the outcome. The first time I went into the Middleton flooring store, I was impressed with Dave's knowledge and no high-pressure sale's techniques, but especially with his relaxed demeanor. He allowed me to take as many samples home as I wanted. Other stores I'd been to demanded my right arm before releasing a sample with promises to have it returned yesterday! Several places acted as if I was taking the Hope diamond home. Dave was always patient with me, no matter how much I texted or called. He always got right back to me. Incredible, incredible service. They have so much product, a lot of diversity in material, so we easily found what we liked and wanted. The only snafu in the project was the installers. They didn't always show up at the time they stated, but they have such a large crew that they got the project done in half the time we thought it would take them. Like I said, this wasn't our first rodeo, so the job ended up being completed long before we expected. We work from home, so we got to see how they operated. That crew was such a neat bunch of people. So polite, fussy and meticulous with their work, cleaned up after themselves, hardworking and professional. We'd used those installers again in a heartbeat. We also had a separate dishwasher issue that required months of follow-up before ultimately failing and needing faulty parts replaced. Communication throughout the process was slow, inconsistent, and often required repeated effort from us just to receive basic updates. Although repairs were eventually completed and a partial credit was issued, Nonn's declined to provide any further accommodation despite the prolonged disruption and clear service breakdowns. The response from leadership made it clear that customer experience was not a priority once problems occurred. We made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this privately. Based on how these issues were handled, we would not choose to work with Nonn's again and would encourage others to carefully consider their options before committing to a significant project.

Me: "I'm looking for a tile, 1" or 2" square with some color variation through it. It's for a shower we're remodeling." Designer: "Well, we have this marble that's nice. You could do a listello..." She shows us a sample board that's got all sorts of sculpted shapes and borders. Me: "I don't think we want stone. Just need tile. 1" or 2" square with some color variation through it." Designer: Gesturing to another board of fancy scmancy design elements "You could do something like this, with a listello..." Me: thinking "WTF is listello and why can't she just show us tile?" saying, "Really all we want is some kind of tile in a 1" or 2" square that might have some subtle color variation in it." Designer: (exasperated) "I don't know if I can help you if you can't tell me what you want." (I kid you not, she said this after I'd told her EXACTLY what I wanted multiple times.) Somehow we shook this thing off--I don't know how many times she said "listello" but to this day I twitch when I hear the word--and went into the next room and selected the floor tile by ourselves. In the end we went to another place where the staff were awesome and we literally found the tile we wanted within minutes of walking in the door. Bottom line: if you want to be verbally masturbated all over by a "designer" go to Nonn's. If you want tile, go anywhere else.
