I just started coming here after receiving a recommendation from my coworker. I am terrified of the dentist and I hadn't seen a dentist in far too long. I used the excuse of having moved from NY as an excuse, but after several years that excuse becomes invalid. The office administrator is incredibly nice and was happy to explain everything in detail. He was warm and made it easy to ask questions. I only get an hour at lunch from work, so I stopped in and she gave me all of the typical doctor's office paperwork to fill out and bring back with me on my next visit so I didn't waste time doing it there. During the first visit Amanda did a new patient xray session and then Dr. Mollohan came in to poke around and let me know I needed a root canal, two wisdom teeth taken out and that I had the beginning stages of periodontal disease. They gave me the full lowdown on what it all meant, what needed to be done and why. I went in today for my first of a series of treatments. Dr. Mollohan walked me through every single thing that he was doing which was a huge help on the nerves. He even explained why he was doing what he was doing, which I appreciated immensely. The procedure was quick and painless and they got me in and out really quick. I will be back in a couple of weeks for my next procedure and I am at ease knowing how great Dr. Mollohan and Amanda (the hygienist) are. All I need is this Novocaine to wear off now and I'll be all set! I highly recommend this place to anyone, especially those that have high anxiety at the dentist. I can't say enough in a review about my experiences at Dr. Mollohan's. I relocated to RI one year ago and have had horrible experiences with Thundermist. I now have my own private insurance through my job and sought out Dr. Mollohan because I have a special needs child and another child that I didn't want to have to endure the same horrible experiences as I had through Thundermist because they have Rite Smile. Dr. Mollohan was exceptional with my special needs child. They have a very good relationship and my other child usually is petrified when visiting the dentist and she is very comfortable. He has been our dentist now since August and he has worked diligently to put our dental health back on track. I had to rush in there today with a dental nightmare. He fixed my problem on the spot. Worked on me for hours with absolutely no discomfort or pain and he worked out a budget plan with me so that I left in a physical, mental, and emotionally sound when I literally felt my world was upside down. There are so many reasons why I would recommend Dr. Mollohan from his professionalism, expertise, knowledge, bedside manner to his great staff who also happen to be his family that treat you with the upmost decency and respect that we all deserve but is so hard to come by today. I went to this dentist after seeing such positive reviews on yelp. Lots of 5 stars. However, my teeth were sensitive for about a month after doing a filling. I had fillings done many times throughout my life but never felt sensitive for so long. My husband who also had his fillings done 3-4months ago is still feeling sensitive. He now fears that his teeth will be sensitive permanently. Again, he never experienced this kind of problem after treatment. The doctor was very polite and explained everything throughout the treatment, but regret recommending this dentist to my husband. read more

I'm nervous about dental work and both the doctor and his staff (assistant Amanda is wonderful) were compassionate and careful. I have been petrified of the dentest since forever! I went in for multiple reasons and suffer from bad TMJ. The girls in the office were so nice and friendly and when she was cleaning my teeth she took time to let my jaw rest and made me feel completely comfortable! Best dentist around! I'm awful with needles, I have passed out from blood work and dr wayne makes it feel like nothing is there! I am rating Dr. Wayne Mollohan as a dentist to avoid at all "costs" (no pun intended). This is not because he is incompetent. He is actually "up to snuff" on the latest developments in dentistry. He is also personable and easy to talk to. But that's about where it ends. His ethics and business practices are atrocious. There is immediate pressure to buy services that dental insurance does not cover. Signs on the walls of the office and treatment rooms remind patients of the medical and possible life-threatening consequences of avoiding such services. In the waiting room, at the time that I was a patient, had a sign that read "Be Nice!" I always wondered why this was necessary. And then there's the costs and fees! The one word that I would proffer that just about sums up this business. GREED! Seek a dental practice that will fill your cavities and clean your teeth but not empty your purses and wallets and take you to the financial cleaner. read more
