The state of the art technology is there, although nothing is showy or ostentatious. Fridays are apparently "orthodontics" day, as the (very nice) waiting area was filled with tweens and teens awaiting tightenings and adjustments. As someone who had braces for 8 years, I hardly remember the energy in the waiting room to be so relaxed. Also, no screams/wailing, so they must be good! They also offer an array of other services, but great customer service and skilled dentistry are all I've had the chance to experience so far!

Based on this assurance, I proceeded with the appointment under the impression that there would be no associated charges after checking with them three times. 1. I called his office and was confirmed "The consultation is free." 2. When I was at his office, I was asked to provide my insurance information. I asked why since I was there only for a consultation. I was told, "It's for the purpose of the cost estimation." 3. The doctor asked me to do an x-ray during the visit, and I asked his assistant, "I didn't have to pay for this right?", and she said, "No." However, I was informed by my insurance company that he filled a claim for both the consultation and the x-ray. My insurance only covers the consultation but not the x-ray. I've checked with them step by step and was shocked by their unethical behavior. Their new office is located on the second floor inside a historic building where you will find some very interesting and distinctive architectural details on the ceiling and throughout the structure. What I love about this office is that it is very warm, unlike most cold, all white-walled, and uncomfortably too sterile dental clinics, and the colorful furnishings and decor make you feel more at home. I felt serene as soon as I walked through the door--I've never felt like this at any dental clinics before. We were happy to see Rouba, our favorite dental hygienist. She's passionate about her work, easygoing, uplifting, and always a pleasure to talk to. Rouba was actually a dentist in her home country of Lebanon, so she's very informative about how to take good care of your teeth. What sets this dental practice apart from others is that they put on your favorite music on YouTube for you while your teeth gets worked on, helping you to relax. There's a TV screen in every room. Had the tooth been properly evaluated before starting the procedure, this could have been avoided and my daughter would not have had to endure an unnecessary injection. After numbing her, the dentist repeatedly pulled at the tooth but was unable to remove it. My daughter is now in significant pain following the appointment. Watching her go through that experience was extremely upsetting. Based on what I witnessed, I have serious concerns about the judgment and care provided. There's plenty of parking and the ladies at the check in are were very nice and friendly. The center is small but is well run. I explained how much pain I was in and the office staff told me if I could make it to the Swansea office in two hours, Dr. Doherty would squeeze me in for a consultation right after lunch. I was so grateful as I'd never been in so much pain. The treatment I received was excellent. Since 2019, I've seen Dr. Doherty for follow up care and treatment on another tooth.
