What really matters is beyond this surface level obvious requirements is just how uneducated and unskilled the staff is. I have been to this location 6 times and not once did I leave in a timely manner because of some hassle. They speak without thinking and say some nonsense about how the Co-op works. News flash if you have the membership, the policies are written pretty clearly online so I know when you're speaking nonsense. The new people there don't even bother to ask so done who has been there a while to answer a question they don't know. Whoever is training the personnel needs to get removed and the whole staff needs to be remediated to know what customer service actually is and stop hassling customers and telling them half truths or making it so difficult to return something that you bought 2 weeks ago with receipts and all.... The tax free isn't worth it, go to another REI.

I purchased a beautiful men's full zip jacket, a women's wool blend sweater, and a Patagonia hiking shirt that was 50% off. The young man who rang me up was incredibly nice and very chatty. So much so that he accidentally rang up my purchases at full price. When he realized this, he rang me up again, saying, "Don't worry, you won't be charged twice." Long story short, when I went through my bank statement a week later, I'd been charged twice. I went in today with my statement and the clothing and Kyle was INCREDIBLE. Apologetic, helpful, reassuring, saying he'd "take care of it and contact" me tomorrow. THIS IS WHY we love smaller businesses. They are HUMAN and although like all of us, sometimes make errors, they rectified it immediately. And now I will never go back to REI unless Trail Creek simply doesn't carry what I'm looking for. #customers for life.

There is metered street parking available right by the entrance or you can try to find free street parking a block over and walk. This is apparently the largest Patagonia store on the East Coast and they even have their own Baltimore patch! They have sales on top of their outlet prices as well but just keep an eye on what they serial is actually on sale such as fleeces instead of the entire store being on additional sale. I came by for a yoga class on a Sunday morning (bring your own mat!). This was hosted by Andrea and attendance was about 15 people and was a very pleasant peaceful start to the morning! I wish I had known about the community yoga before as I would have been coming for ages.

The best I have had in a while. The salesperson lint rolled the coat because fur from the hood of other coats was all over it. He also checked the prices for me and informed me about the sales prices. He was very helpful in helping me decide which cost would suit my needs. He explained that all Northface coats and jackets had a lifetime warranty and even items that are Northface, but purchased from another store, could be brought into the store for a warranty claim. At checkout, he offered my 10% off for signing up for emails and the like. Based on the service, selection, quality, and value (especially when sales promotions are on), I am a loyal customer. On my 4th Northface coat and my son is in his 6th since he was a child (now in college) and all of them look and function as good as new. Five stars.

It was kind of painful and took several days to finally get the purchase approved. In any event, the luggage was shipped in a timely fashion and arrived unscathed. Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly what we wanted and some of the features weren't visible via the website so we decided to return it. Since this would have been a fairly large shipment, we checked to see if we could return it to a North face store. The customer sales representative for North face said that we could return it to a North face store but not an outlet that just sells North face items. So, today we made the 2 and 1/2 hour round trip to Annapolis to return the luggage. After parking and schlepping the luggage about a quarter-mile through the mall we found the North face store. The customer service rep at the store then told us we couldn't return it to the store because of an online discount. That didn't make much logical sense since in effect we had paid less than the luggage was worth but we're only asking to be reimbursed for what we had paid. Fortunately, the more senior representative at the store told us that he would ship the luggage back to North face at no cost to us. We just wouldn't be reimbursed until the luggage was received at the warehouse. Not optimum, but certainly better than lugging the shipment back to our house and having to package it ourself. All in all the experience was somewhat frustrating And certainly a waste of a few hours of my life that I will never get back.

Really wasn't in the need to buy anything, but it doesn't hurt to look. Basic setup that you would find in any of their other outlet stores. Large space that is filled to the brim with their shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, jackets, etc. I always love their hoodies so I spent a good portion of my time browsing that section. Did I need to? No, but I did anyway. Staff were pleasant and made sure I was taken care of. They also made me aware of the sales they were having and that if I needed anything to just ask.
