Molly's is a chain of bars, and this is probably my favorite location. Before Hurricane Ike I preferred the Galveston location, but... well.. times change. Anyhow this is a neighborhood dive bar that is frequented by the Univ. of Houston Clear Lake crowd as well. Prices are fair, and they stock a good number of beers and liquors. They don't have anything higher than 101 (ie: no 151 Rum) so flaming drinks are out of the question. There's a nice patio for those who want to smoke. Inside there is ample seating as well as dart boards and a juke box. Wednesday night is "Big Ass Beer" night, with specials on pints.

    Always a good beer selection!

Molly's is my local pub. Located right in the heart of Clear Lake and gives that divey, bar atmosphere that us beer drinkers crave. I've been coming here for years, has that small town vibe and the bartenders recognize you. If you are looking for a classy bar, this isn't your place- but it's what makes me love Molly's. They have a great draft selection- offers everything from your standard beers to craft beers (they usually have Yellow Rose from Lone Pint which is my go to). Also several nights a week they have specials- big beers, $10 pitchers, etc. along with a full service bar. Molly's has three dartboards which on some nights fill up quick. Usually the crowd will let you hop on their board and join in the fun. There is a jukebox, so bring cash or connect your CC to play your jams. Other than that, not much going on here at Molly's. There is outdoor seating and smoking allowed on the patio. Indoor seating there are bar height tables and booth seating. Great place to stop in and have some cold beers with friends!

This is a fun place! They have indoor and outdoor seating for the bar. With the weather being such a nice spring day it was great on the patio. They don't serve food but have a big selection of beers on tap. Lot's of local texas brews! The staff have all been friendly and helpful. This would be Cheers if Norm walked through the door!

The food is very good - a mix of pub fare and authentic Irish to match the atmosphere. We particularly love the cheese curds, potato skins and loaded baked potato soup, but the shepherds pie, corned beef and cabbage, and fall off the bone lamb shank are just as good. The true surprise is the pizza - by far the best in Houston! They recently brought in darts and pool tables, and regularly host trivia and karaoke! Rarely do you find a place that feels like home, but the staff is wonderful and welcoming and the vibes are right. We can't recommend it enough!

The location at Kirkwood Rd and Westheimer Rd is over 20 years. It goes to show that when Houston "updates" a business, they spare no expense. The shopping center is 30 years old but updated every 5 years. Other main tenant is SPEC's Liquor and Wine Retail store just 100 feet away. The rehab team did a great job. The place was getting a bit seedy -- but now the floor plan is opened up and MORE LARGE SCREEN TV's THAN A BUFFALO WINGS store. And even with the rehab the owners have kept prices in "reason". One thing I like is TWO HAPPY HOURS -- great idea in Houston where thousands of us work shifts in Oil & Gas, Medical / Hospitals and Space Center JSC. The first Happy is 5-7p and the 2nd is 9p to ?? Closing. Kitch is also great food and open until 9 or so. We know Westheimer is the real MAIN ST of Houston and Bull has a lot of competion but they don't forget customer service and good food there. Check out the NEW LOOK !!

Steak night starts at 7, which means that's when they start taking orders. If you want to beat the rush, you should already be in your seat by 6:30-6:45. It's a two-man show on steak night. The husband is outside grilling everything on what looks like a standard home grill while the wife is taking orders. Orders go out in batches. They're definitely efficient and work as fast as they can, but with that comes a little abruptness- they aren't the friendliest, but they're focused on getting everyone fed. We got there at 7:05 and didn't get our food until 8:25. Was the wait worth it? Absolutely. The steak was tender and juicy. The lamb chop was charred perfectly. And surprisingly enough, the sausage was my favorite. It was JUICY. When you bite into it, the juices literally burst out. Something had a little kick to it... it wasn't the sauce, but I actually liked it. The jalapeño cheddar mashed potatoes were also great.

For my side, I get the mashed potatoes. The lamb chops are the absolute best I've ever had! So tender, juicy, and smoky. All their sauces are so good too and compliments the meat perfectly! If you can't handle spice, I'd recommend just sticking to their ninja sauce though. The pineapple and mashed potatoes provide a nice break from all the meat as well.

Classic pub food on the menu like Shepherd's pie, Burgers, or Fish n'Chips (one of my favorites here). Appetizers like wings and fried pickles are solid too. Service has always been fairly consistent. Bathroom is small, so keep that in mind. It's not a huge place and the booths and tables fill up fast when it's busy. (They do have a small outdoor patio which helps.) St. Patty's day can be pretty fun here too (check the calendar for events) They also have happy hour and daily specials, definitely worth checking out!
