I've been here before for just the beers which never disappoints; it's a brewery after all right?! I was immensely disappointed with the food. The chicken sandwich was dry and lacked true seasonings (I think CFA's was any better). I thought having ranch would makeup for the dryness yet it seemed to make it worst. The pretzel held more excitement than any of the entrees put together. If you are planning on coming here for a weekend; be ready--although it was family friendly this place was as packed as sardines in a tin (have a strategy for the crowdedness). Saint Arnold is located in an older industrial area. There is free parking. If the closer lot is full, they own another lot a couple minutes walk away. This might be the biggest craft brewery location I've ever been to. Not only is there a lot of interior seating but there is a huge outdoor patio. A huge portion of that is covered, so even though it was raining hard while we were there, many people were comfortably sitting outside. We ordered smash burgers and a chicken sandwich. Both were pretty good, about a 7/10. We also tried a few beers. It was nice that they offer 4 oz pours so you can create your own flight. The employees were all friendly but the service was lacking and a bit inattentive. For example, I planned to order a pint of beer after my samples but our server never returned until we were almost done eating. If like us, you are driving through Houston, I do think this place is worth a visit. read more

Brewery #353 I have been to St Arnold's twice and both times there was some sort of festival going on so it was packed! There was live music on multiple stages and like a farmer's market vibe. The also have a full restaurant, gift shop and huge biergarten. There is an outdoor bar, indoor bar and during the festivals they had 2 beer carts servings as well. Efficient! They do flights which I was shocked to see considering how busy they were. The flights were prefixed though (again efficient) but there were I think 3 options. All of the beers were solid, but the Double Art Car was probably my favorite. We ordered a couple of apps which were the pretzel with beer cheese and chips and queso. Both were solid. We ended a relay race at this downtown Houston brewery. It was very crowded on a Sunday afternoon. They mostly have outdoor seating, which is not that comfortable in the hot Houston weather, and they have an indoor space as well, but it was more packed than outside. I got the Citrus Shandy at their outdoor bar. It was a very fruity and sour beer, and it was alright. We recommend getting a flight then follow that with a glass of whichever ends up being your favorite We went with the best seller flight and the fruity one. If you are a fan of ciders the fruity ones were all amazing. They have a decent menu and the food is alright but you're coming for the beer and the atmosphere. There's a free brewery tour which is interesting and worth it if you happen to be there but don't plan your trip around it or worry if you miss it. Great city view, dog friendly, and kid friendly with a big screen to watch the Astros or Texans. The beer is made right there, and there are always new beers to try. They also have wine on the menu. The ambiance is family and pet-friendly, too. You can sit outside and enjoy the breeze around a unique fountain, play games, or walk around and see people's dogs. It was hot outside, but the big fans and the roof on the Biergarten kept it reasonable. The summer shandy was just perfect on a hot July evening. One of our friends got the Schweinshaxe, this giant pork knuckle thing with potatoes, kraut, and red sauce. I kept it slightly lighter with the bratwurst, kraut and fries. We also had pizza (Yumm!!) and the Herbed Fries. All was so delicious and presented very well. It was mid afternoon so not too busy. This place was pretty busy on the Labor Day Monday. Although staff seemed light we still got serviced pretty well. A good amount of the party enjoyed smash burgers. They looked good. They said they were tasty. I tried the Parmesan fries. They were sooo good. I really enjoyed my hop spring. They actually make their own sparking water here and add hops to it. There is a sizable beer menu and some yummy foods to accompany drinks. They also have non-alcoholic ginger beer and root beer for the kiddos if you're bringing the whole family. It's definitely a family-friendly spot. I didn't get any food, but the food I saw other tables order looked decent (typical gastropub fare). I would skip the brewery tour--it is complimentary, but with good reason. Unless you've never been inside a brewery, it isn't worth the time. You're walked through the brewery but you see no beer. I'm sure the brews are good judging by the number of people on a Sunday afternoon, but BEWARE when trying to leave, evidently traffic blocking stopped trains are a regular thing according to the employees I talked to and SAB has no empathy for the motorists stopped and blocked for hoursssss. They could've easily opened their shipping gate which opens to their parking lots and allow us stranded that day to pass through. But they refused. Instead of being rescued by SAB as a courtesy, we all had to turn around and drive the wrong way on a 1 way. Luckily their was a very nice box truck that blocked one lane and helped us pass. We had a company happy hour here on a Friday. The parking lot has a decent amount of spaces and an overflow lot. They have a great patio area where there are long tables and can easily accommodate a big group. I really liked the fountain which made it feel very serene. I don't drink, but many of my colleagues enjoyed the beer. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Super experience here. We drove in from Comal County for a weekend and visited on a Friday afternoon during their Oktoberfest event. Parking in the St Arnold's lot was easy at about 4:30 on a Friday. First thing we did was the brewery tour with Camryn, an outstanding and highly knowledgeable tour guide and business ambassador. We can't agree with the previous reviewer who thought the tour was meh. We had a couple of beer jocks on our tour, and Camryn could answer their technical questions and our business questions and fill in more info besides. The outdoor beer garden has a fountain in the center that looks like it's made from a piece of stainless-steel brewery hardware. Service was fast and friendly; we had a sausage platter and pint drafts; all was topnotch. It's something of an outdoor sportsbar with a big screen for the game of the day. Dog-friendliness is a plus - we met the world's sweetest Golden Retriever puppy who was scamping around his people's feet a couple of tables over. He served as canine napkin to make sure I'd gotten all the sausage off of my face. We plan to return Halloween weekend to get some of Saint Arnold's limited-edition Dia de los Muertos brew. read more

I've always love come to Saint Arnold. Last night, I was with my friends and was walking to get a drink and it was raining hard. Some guy ran so fast and somehow pushed my friend brother out of the way. His brother didn't even do anything and said, "What was that all about?". Both of his brothers are trying to get a drink, but they refused to give them a drink because a worker claimed something happened between them two like fighting or something which was 100% false. I tried to explain few workers what exactly happened and they refused my story. I talked to the owner or manager about what exactly happened and he told me that he doesn't care what's going on out there. Saint Arnold got the story wrong on us about some guy and my friend brother got into a fight which was 100% false. They kicked us out of Saint Arnold because our friend got them a drink. The owner or manager was totally asshole and rude to us. This was the most disappointing I have ever been in my life. The craft brewery industry has gone through an upheaval of late, as many have either closed shop given an unviable financial situation or have sold out to big investors/conglomerates. Thankfully, Saint Arnold has been able to stay independent and still pump out some of the best beers in the city. Their tap room has gone through evolution over the years, and their brewery in its current form is in its best era ever. They have gone from one room to now a sprawling area with outdoor and indoor seating, beautiful views of downtown. It's such a great place to hang out with friends and family (kid friendly), and the food they have there is no slouch. Big screens are abundant during big games. Just a word of caution - make sure you don't leave any valuables in your car (just to be safe, as anywhere else in this city). Some faves over the years are the Art Car IPA (nothing like an ice cold one on a hot day), Santo (RIP) - and nothing signals the fall for me than the release of Pumpiknator.
