The Putt Putt course is very challenging and I really like that. Some mini golf courses are rough to walk but that wasn't the case for this one, I tried the indoor section and it was nice, dark and comfy place. I highly recommend the indoor course for a rainy or cold afternoon. read more

A three-star course that gets four for being one of the few good indoor courses, which was a lifesaver on this rainy day! The tricky lighting makes some of the holes very challenging. The Hawaiian theme is fun. The pink carp water is disturbing. If it's not raining, you can get the Hopper Pass for $20 that gets you unlimited rounds here, at Cancun Lagoon, and Mutiny Bay, which is a bargain. If you walk to the ball return area upon entering, there is a coupon for a free round at this or one of two other courses, which I wish I had spotted before paying. My loss could be your gain! As it is, we'll use it at the next one. There's a silly ball return game that no one ever seems to win, but it's fun to play. If it's raining, this is a great way to spend an hour or so indoors. There are much better choices on the grand Strand than this. From the street it looks like a much better event than it is. As a local I can tell you there is much better. For me and my other half it was $27. And we were done in less than an hour. Not a very exciting layout. Much better choices. One star for inside air conditioning, one more for being a putt putt, sorry but it's not that great of a mini golf. Honestly it feels very dreary and has multiple repeated hole designs. I know that's gonna happen at almost every mini golf but this felt like every hole was similar. Yes they have one hole with a water feature, one hole with a hill to tunnel feature and one hole with a bowl feature. But most of the rest were a winding path with a curve or a slight change in the terrain or a pole in the way. Usually on the 18th home it's some crazy finish with a hole that takes your ball or something unique, nope not here just a windy uphill hole and then you pick your ball up and put it in this annoying ball return box on the counter that says something about you not being a winner? I don't know it was a bit anticlimactic. If you want to do putt putt during the hot afternoon and don't feel like putting on sunscreen for the 27th time during your vacation (which is why we came here) then I guess you should give this a try. Otherwise their are way better mini golf choices down the strip. read more

The price is too damn high! $50 for 2 adults and 2 kids to play putt putt is absurd. I guess you could charge that much if you had a creative or unique course. This didn't have any holes that were unique IMO. The best part of the course was the spin wheels on some holes that gave you different little challenges. That was the only reason I gave it 2 stars. This place, we thought would be fun and worth the $10 each, but alas it was cramped, old and in need of some updating. I mean, we always try to have fun, but this place could be skipped if your in the Myrtle beach area. I cant even put to words how enraged I am with Molten Mountain. First of all the course must have been by made by Ronald McDonald because it was so trash. Second of all the music they played during my round sounded as if it was from a Doughtery Dozen tik tok video. Third of all to access the back nine I had to go up 4 flights of stairs. As a disabled person I found this extremely challenging and almost went into a diabetic coma. I would highly recommend to not play mini golf here and take your family and friends somewhere else. read more

One outdoor and one indoor Hawaiian themed courses. The outdoor course is a spinner course. The molten mountain is just cool, and the lake is a fabulous color that resembles radioactive waste-in the good way. There are also blood red falls and pools. The indoor is 100% indoor (unlike Cancun Lagoon which is only partially indoor), so it's a great entertainment option in case it rains or you need a break from the sun & heat. The inside gives the impression you're playing inside a volcano, & it's really cute. The designs are good with some easy and challenging holes. They also sell decent beer you can drink on the course. Great value if you buy the unlimited play at three locations, otherwise prices are comparable to other local courses. read more

My fiancé and I decided to do the indoor course. It was pretty challenging I must say! A negative though is how dark it is inside. It's kind of difficult to see what you're doing and where your ball is. The course also has a faint mildew smell like an older basement. Overall staff was very nice and helpful! We had a rainy cold day on spring break so we were looking for something to do with the kids. Molten mountain mini golf was the answer. We found a coupon online that was $4.50 off each person for unlimited rounds. It is two levels so you play six holes and head upstairs to play some more then back down. The holes are fun, some more challenging then others. We played twice through the 18 holes. They offer canned beer, drinks and icee. Overall this was an amazing experience. The prices are great and for two bucks more you have the opportunity to do both 18 hole courses, (one being inside the valcano the other outside). The price for an adult is 11 and the price for a lid is 8.50. We came later in the vacation season so there was a bit of a wait but the chance to win a prize inside the main area was the equalizer. If you have the chance come on down to this mini golf course and you for sure will not be disappointed. The course was clean, the turf appeared new, the staff was friendly. The water was green, however, instead of red like lava. When we asked why we were told "for St. Patrick's Day". That's a nice touch, but we were there on 4/3....well past the holiday. Also, they advertise a volcanic eruption every 30 minutes which is part of the reason we chose the course. Only indoor mini-golf we found in Myrtle Beach, and only one of their two courses is inside. Unfortunately, the indoor course is boring. The outdoor is better but we played it in heavy rain so any challenge came from judging the water*. It was super hot out, so we found this indoor/outdoor course! The 18 indoor holes were a nice escape from the heat, but there are lots of stairs and no handicap accessibility to the 2nd floor (where 9 of the holes are). The outdoor course is really nice, with 4 small places to escape the sun. I wish we would have known about the lack of accessibility, but we will go back without grandparents another time. read more

This putt putt was a blast! My family and I went because we were looking for something to do one evening. I was a little wary walking in as there was barely anyone there, but that quickly turned around. We opted for the outdoor course since it was a beautiful day and we could play at our own pace since there was barely anyone there. Some of the holes had spinners to determine your "fate" for that hole, which added a fun twist to the game. In addition, the course was a good amount of challenging so it didn't get boring. If you don't then you need to set your priorities straight! ;p This place is actually pretty cute..we played the outdoor course because the indoor one smelled funny...that and it was a gorgeous day outside. A big bonus to this place is this addition of spinners that mix up things a bit. For example, hit the ball with the wrong end of your club, putt with your hands behind your back, dance the hula, etc. etc. It definitely made for some laughs! I wish the mountain actually did something cool but as far as I can tell it's just photoshopped in on their site's pictures! There's rumbling and colored water that's supposed to be lava..it's cute! While visiting Sunset Beach (September 2014), we had a day where the weather would just not cooperate for a beach day. We decided to go mini golfing and ended up at Molten Mountain. My four-year old was very excited over the theme and could not wait to get inside. Upon walking in, the first thing that we noticed was the stale odor. The decor, although fun, definitely needed some updating. At some of the holes, we were hit in the head with drops of water from the ceiling. Of course, all of these things did not keep us from having a good time. There were not many people playing the day that we went, so that was an added bonus. We didn't have to worry about how slow we were moving with a small child. If it rains on us again while we are at the beach, we might consider returning. I hope that they make a few updates before our next time. read more

Before you walk in you have a chance to feed a ton of Koi for a quarter. Service was nice and friendly. Just your basic course like any other in Myrtle. After the we were done golfing they told us that people had seen snakes on the course earlier!!! Now you tell us!!! They were evidently just little rat snakes after all the frogs you can here. Came here on a rainy day with my boyfriend. It was pretty packed, but as far as indoor mini golf it was alright. The course was mildly interesting, except for the last hole which wasn't as fun as expected. The staff was extremely friendly and the facility was very clean. My wife and I played this course in 2012 and it was one of our favorites. With that being said we returned with our daughter a couple of days ago and we were extremely disappointed. The years have not been good to the facility as it is run down and you can tell it hasn't been maintained very well. There is an outdoor course and an indoor course. We chose to play the indoor course. At 6 o'clock we were the only people there the entire time. The following is a list of cons: 1. Every other green was stained, from what I assume is water damage. 2. There are many water leaks from the "lava" water. This has created a very unpleasant smell inside the building. My daughter said it smelt like a bathroom. 3. All of the tiki huts used to have lights inside of them, many of the lights were burnt out. For maintenance purposes it's not very hard to replace a few light bulbs to help the atmosphere. 4. A lot of the area has brick chips laid down. My daughter sat on a bench and when she stood up her pants were covered in red brick dust. 5. We chose to play indoor to escape the sun and to enjoy the air conditioning. To our surprise it was cooler outside than what is was inside, the course was very hot and all 3 of us were sweating by the 18th hole. 6. The employee at the counter was blaring some History Channel show on the TV when we walked in and didn't even greet us or say hello. When we left she didn't even say goodbye. I'm pretty sure they could stand up a corpse at the counter and they would have more personality and make us feel more welcomed. We won't ever be back to this course. For over $30 for 3 people to play a round of putt putt this course was a major disappointment and a waste of money. read more

When you're visiting Myrtle Beach in the summer, it's just plain hot. That's usually okay when you're on the beach and the wind is strong, but it can be downright miserable when buildings around you block the wind. Luckily, this place is an indoor mini-golf course: that fact alone made it one of my family's favorites for years. Don't expect much in the way of scenery. You're in a volcano, so there are "rocks" everywhere, along with a few huts and other decorations. The reason why you're here is to golf. The course is relatively challenging compared to some of the others at Myrtle Beach. Be careful: a few holes feature water flowing through them, and you don't want to lose your balls in the streams. At the end of the course, you drop your balls off in a machine where you might win prizes, such as a discount for your next time playing. It's a nice, cool course, even if there's not much to see. read more

We decided to go mini golfing just before some thunderstorms were rolling in so we were glad to find an indoor course....along with the rest of North Myrtle Beach! So it was busy inside and quite a bit of a wait at each hole. The issue was a large family two groups ahead of us. There were about 15 of them and they insisted on playing one at a time so you could probably argue that they weren't in a group per se. But the rules of the course are no more than 5 to a group and it would have been nice if someone walked through every now and then just to see how the flow was going. Because the flow was non existent. We spent about an hour and a half playing mini golf, which isn't exactly typical. Aside from that it was enjoyable for the kids and an indoor course is a plus in the summer especially when storms are in the forecast! read more

The first of our party was asked by the fellow who works there "How many is in your party?". They answered 7 and was told frankly that they normally do not allow 7 to play together. But, if you allow those backed up behind you to play through, they would let us play. I had just paid and said that I would like to have a refund then. They then told us that they never give refunds.I had just payed and not even picked up a ball or putter. The attitude of the staff was not good. We would let anyone play through that was backed up behind us anyway. What was funny is there was a party of 10 before us that we ended up waiting on the whole time.
