I have had some ok visits after my first doctor left this location and now I have to say I've hit my limits doctor Marta is absolutely horrible bed side manner she rolls her eyes she has a additude when you ask her questions into the choices between birth control when she was doing my removle she was ruff .. I told her could feel her pulling on my arm when she was doing my nexipalan removel she Let go of my arm after I said that and said (welll I almost had it )!!!!!rolled her eyes and looked at her asstiant all irrattated I'm absolutely disgusted on how I felt when I left the had no sensitivity to me at all and she didn't even come back to talk to me when it was done she sent her asstiant to ask me if I made my choice of my birth control in a matter of seconds of being done I just cried on my way out the door ! I needed to see a fertility doctor and was referred here. As a working woman with a typical schedule, I was forced to use time off to see a doctor, since they only see patients at an 8-5 schedule. I live about 45 min away from this office and as I pulled in, I received a call saying my doctor was not going to come in for my apt. The manager that called me to tell me this was so condescending and rude and did not care at all about my issues and the fact that they were doing this less than 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment. I had even called that morning before I left to confirm. This is just not acceptable and so uncaring to the patient. I was told no other doctors that day would see me. When I told the manager about how far I had to drive for this, she said "I'm sure you did." Just really uncaring. I do not recommend. For as sensitive of an issue as fertility is, this clinic lacks all empathy. read more

I get a certified letter on Christmas Eve to call their office immediately . I call the number on the letter not once but twice and it's disconnected. I figure it's for billing so I call their main number and choose billing. I read the letter to her and she sends me to triage. I wait 20 minutes on hold. I call on another phone while on hold with the original call. I finally get a human to answer the phone and she tells me the office was calling to schedule an ultrasound to follow up with my mammogram. Um...I did this 3 weeks ago? Scheduling my well woman exam was pretty easy. I had thought I was scheduled with NP Amanda who performed my PAP last year and was content. NP Amanda is thorough, kind, and compassionate. However, NP Lisa Cotten who did a procedure on me last year and was extremely condescending entered the room. I am a NP myself and perform over 30 well woman exams a month. I am more knowledgeable than the average patient. NP Lisa did not ask me ANYTHING about my health or history and argued with me about repeating the PAP. I follow guidelines to a T. My sexual history, date of last period, or any concerns were not discussed, not to mention discussion of preventive care. She was in and out of the room within two minutes and that's including the PAP. To even call it a well woman exam would be fraud. The only time she touched me was to perform the PAP. She did not assess lymph nodes, thyroid, heart, lungs, or abdominal area. I did contact the office manager who seemed very polite and helpful. I most likely will not be returning to this office which is sad since I have been a patient for 13 years now. read more

I have read reviews before on this location but everyone's different so I had to judge for myself I went in three times the first doctor I don't remember her name but she was Asian , she was very nice , the second time around, I had Dr Calton, the vibes I got from her wasn't really friendly but you know whatever I just I brushed it off. I went in for test results because I'm trying to start a family with my husband so I just want to see what our next step was. Our appointment was at 9:20 but I went in at 9 just to see if they would take us in earlier and they did we waited in the room till 10:30 my husband kept asking what's the holdup what's going on, the young girl said oh there's someone in front of you it's going to be a few minutes, it took forever we finally had enough and I just told the lady you know ,I've been here over an hour I seen a doctor a few times while I went to the bathroom and she was just walking back and forth , the lady was like do you want to reschedule ? I laughed & said "No. I'm glad I dodged that bullet I knew my instinct was right when I wasn't comfortable with her the first time I met her. She just isn't very friendly, the first thing she said to me when I met her she was looking at my chart she was like you know "this visit isn't covered by your insurance" I was a bit taken back , I mean a "Hello how are you today would have been nice. If it was possible to put 0 stars I would. I knew this place did not have great recommendations but I thought for a basic need of antibiotics they could handle that which apparently not. The moment I walked in the people that check you in are just absolutely immature. Acting like they're on the playground in middle school with their friends gossiping about their personal lives and laughing so loud you can hear them from everywhere in the building. The girl kept replying to text messages while asking me medical questions and be absolutely unprofessional, not hiding the fact that she was not doing her job. Then the doctor comes in and tells me that I don't have a UTI and sends me out. I'm pretty sure the doctor is supposed to try to help you figure out what's wrong even if it's not what you thought it was. Send it out for a blood test or for something else but don't just send me home because What i thought I had was wrong and you are lazy and don't wanna do your job. Wish I was close to the Gilbert one because that one seems to have a lot of good reviews unlike any other Mom doc location. So now I've spent money and time at this place and still have pain. This is CRAZY! I had written a review on this place back in October 2018 and I come back to look and it is gone. Hmm. Anyway, This place is not a very nice place to go. The staff need to be retrained on their knowledge of professionalism, customer service, and decorum in the office. I had scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Carlton at 1ish and I was taken back after filling out paperwork (which did not take long), I had my vitals taken (which again, this was done completely wrong). The aide, the whatever she was stated ,my bp was way too high. BULL! I take my blood pressure 3 times a day ad it was not high that day at all. I was given this paper top and bottom to cover up with, mind you, the exam room was cold as hell. So sitting there with just that to cover up with was ridiculous. Now, as I am sitting there freezing, I keep an eye on the time. (10 minutes, 15, 20 minutes have gone by). I hear people laughing outside the exam room door along with a Doctor, them BAM, no noise at all, and that was at the 5 minutes of waiting. As the 20 minutes mark hit, I look out the door, NO ONE, so I get dressed and waled to the front. And here we see ALL the staff sitting in the chairs watching TV and on their cell phones. (UNPROFESSIONAL). I stated to the young lady who checked me in that I was leaving. She asked why, I stated because this place is ridiculous and you have me sitting in the back for that length of time. She states to me my appointment was at 2:10 pm, hmm, then WHY would I be there almost an hour early for an appointment. I showed her my appointment time that she gave me along with her name (always get their name). She wanted to reschedule, WHY!? Nope, not gonna happen and do not charge my insurance, I will fight it! Now this is the crazy part, someone from MomDoc stating that they were sorry for my experience and someone will call me. HA! No one called me and not that I would want them to call me. But why lie and say they will have someone call me when in all reality no one will call back and apologize for bad service. So DO NOT comment on this comment and lets see if this one gets deleted, I will post again if it happens. Messed with the wrong person here. I do NOT accept professionalism and lack of customer service from anyone. Why do you think you went to school to get into this business. Ive been going here for a year. My initial experience was great. I got a great OB who helped me carry and deliver my son full term. I work in the airline industry where we are gone days at a time. My job allows us to take as much time as we need off if ww have a medical reason or we are unsure we can perform work duties. I expressed my concerns and the dr told me she wouldn't allow me any additional time and i should look into a new job. She also told me if i dont have enough breast milk stored to return to work, to give formula. She was very unsympathetic. I wasn't asking her to lie but im unsure i can return under this stress. Terrible. Waiting room and treatment office were filthy. Nurse was incompetent and couldn't figure out my insurance. I waited an hour before I was even taken back to see the doctor and the nurse had to keep coming in to take various measurements because she forgot to do them all the first time. Dr. Carlton was rude and condescending. Went in to get help with PPD and she offered zero help or advice and told me a behavioral health specialist would call me instead. Asked short, vague questions that I kept having to ask her to explain for which she then made me feel stupid for not understanding. I'm literally in medical school right now. I know how doctor-patient interaction should be and that was not it. I have never had a worse experience with a physician. I should have heeded the negative reviews about this clinic. There is a reason why MomDoc and Dr. Carlton's schedules are so open. No one wants to or should see her or go to this clinic. read more

I had a doc apt this morning mind this is a surgery follow up so I can barely do anything let alone sit all day..(my legs go numb) and the person that checked me in told me doc is running behind no biggy for me at all.. then over a hour passes and tells me oh I thought the doctor came in to see you already??? She said she had a person go ahead of me cause she "thought" I was seen! Wth ?! How do you go wrong there I'm literally dying in pain this whole 1 hour and 6 mins while waiting ! Their staff doesn't communicate well or know what's going on. The doctor told me I could get a certain birth control device replacement in 2 days after she removed my current one. Then an office person called and said I couldn't get the device for at least two weeks and maybe not at all. I've called three times and it just went to voicemail, which they never returned my message. read more

She has the WORST bed wide manner I have ever seen and I work with many doctors! She gave me the most judgmental face and had no empathy. This practice is the worst! I've been to two different locations and both were terrible. I had to wait an entire week to come back and get lab results because they refused to talk to me over phone or prescribe any medications before seeing me. The medical advice I received was antiquated and the Doctor was very rude. I will NEVER come back to them again. I wish I had gone elsewhere instead of trying out another location or read some of the reviews on here about how horrible this practice is. They should spend less money on the decor in their offices and more attention to quality patient care and hiring an MA to call back patients with test results in stead of sitting around in the lobby waiting to check patients in. read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars. At first the office in chandler was great then slowly things started to dwindle. I was told that I have a growth on my left ovary and that they were concerned about torsion as my pregnancy progresses. I go in with severe pain on my left side a month later and they brush me off and claim that I don't have a growth. Then Dr. Carlton was upset that I wouldn't get the flu shot and was completely rude after. I was having contractions and she said " I'm surprised you didn't google that they are just Braxton Hicks". And as she left the room said "you're at least taking your prenatals I hope" and left. I haven't seen her since without notice and that was in October. It's now January and I'm 36 weeks and have no idea who is delivering. I've only seen nurses and physician assistants since. With my first my water broke at 20 weeks and I was induced at 36 weeks for low fetal activity, so I am completely scared with this one and they have left me hanging. DO NOT GO TO MOMDOC. And the desert ridge office staff, the medical assistants are rude and you'll be lucky to get in with an actual doctor. There was an accident on the way to my appt and there are two different suite numbers online so I was late and explained this to them and they were like "you can leave and reschedule" and then when I rescheduled the doctor had no availability. read more

I will never return to Momdocs they are the absolute worse! This is my first pregnancy and I had picked this place because I could make it work with my work schedule which was convenient. However I had my first ultrasound appt and turns out I measured smaller than the estimated time frame they gave. All me and the babies father saw so far being 6 weeks was the gest sac and the yolk sac couldn't hear a heartbeat yet or see the fetal pole which from research is typically normal. But when we went back to the room the midwife came in had no empathy at all and said because there was no heart beat and no fetal pole yet and the gest sac wasn't perfectly round that I need to expect to miscarry and now is the time to watch for cramps she wasn't optimistic or encouraging that it was still early and things can change so after that visit I made an appt at southwest contemporary had all my stuff faxed from momdocs over. Come to find out when my new OB got the ultrasound we'd done earlier in the week it stated that there was only a gest sac not a yolk sac, um that's bullshit because you can't miss the big sac and the little white looking circle Inside of it. Needless to say my new Ob was optimistic he says it's way to early to even call it that I may just be earlier than what momdocs thinks that my tests that I did at momdocs came back good my hormone level was high. Literally the only good thing that came out of going to momdocs and them putting me through hell was that they tested for my blood type and turns out I'm not O+ I'm O- so I needed a RhoGRAM shot which the new OB office was puzzled as to why momdocs didn't get the shot to me as soon as they saw the results. So fuck momdocs their rude and they don't care about you. Wouldn't recommend it for first time moms unless you wanna ball your eyes out and freak out and stress. I have no idea how this place stays open all the employees look like they hate life and hate their job. read more

I really don't like to be rude, and I understand during this pandemic has everyone freaking out, and it's not like I want to be bringing my pregnant self to the Dr either, I'd rather stay home. But I had an appointment and I don't know the names of anyone who even saw me (that's how much time they spent even talking to me) but my Ultrasound tech seemed like she was in a rush for my scan, she was also "training" a new girl, and seemed to ignore anything I said. Then some other person, not sure who, came in to complain that she didn't do someone else's ultrasound completely and that she needs to go and do it again, which I felt was rude given she was with me doing MY ultrasound and I really didn't need to hear what the tech skipped over in the other patients ultrasound or anything about their baby . So then it seemed like my ultrasound tech was ever more rushed, and literally made me feel like I was just in the way when we were done, sent me to my room to wait for the Dr, and then it seemed the dr couldn't even be bothered to give me some decent time, and made me feel rushed, and frustrated because there were things I wanted to ask or talk about and it seemed like no one can be bothered. I've usually always loved this location the past few times I've came, but this pandemic is really making me feel like any medical staff can't be decent enough to give you more than 2 seconds of their time. We're all panicked and worried but it would be nice to come to the dr where I'm supposed to feel cared about and heard Not sure if I'll go back for the appointment I have there for next time. First, they mess up the details surrounding my medication to the point I had to wait hours before I could pick it up. Im very disappointed at this office and will never go back or recommend someone to them. I was there dealing with an ectopic pregnancy and had multiple issues with them. On each of my visits I had to see a different provider and repeat my self why was I seen. Don't they keep pts charts ? This was a very difficult and it wasn't pleasant to explain to every staff member why I was there. The most upsetting one , when I asked for a referral for a reproductive specialist, had to wait for 3 weeks for the referral and only to find out they referred me to an oncology genetic specialist. Really ? Is that the attention you give to your patients. I wish they will really pay attention to their patients needs. read more

Way too many problems with the place. From messed up scheduling, to no call backs when I leave several messages for the nurses line, long waits in the back rooms (45 min and up), to Drs that know absolutely nothing about what they're talking about. I'd never recommend this place to anyone. Ever. Especially Dr LaShonda Carlton. She was extremely rude to my husband and I at our last visit. Gave us an attitude and stupid looks the entire time because she thought she knew what she was talking about and didn't care to take the time to listen to what we were explaining to her. Very unfortunate that this place didn't offer a good experience because I would have been real about that experience too! But no, the midwife I came to see the very first visit was so unprofessional and inappropriate! When I explained that we have been trying for years to get pregnant and are seeing a fertility specialist, she basically dismissed the factual issues we've run into and said "why don't you just live life and let it happen naturally? I mean, I don't know what you're going through because I got pregnant easily. It sounds like you have a great husband, you should just appreciate him. Look at me, I've been single for over eight years." What!? Are you kidding me!? She made the conversation about her and was so inappropriate! She basically added no value to my hopes of establishing care with a new provider and I couldn't wait to get out of that place. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. read more

I went to MomDoc for a physical, everything was quick and the staff was pretty nice. I found it odd that the DR said we ONLY call you about your blood work if it comes back bad otherwise you are fine. Well a few days later they called me about my blood work and of course I was so scared because they DR said they only call if it is bad. I go later that afternoon and sit in the room forever, I can hear the staff outside the office complaining that they want to go home etc...All the time I am having a panic attack wondering what is wrong. The DR finally comes in and is literally reading from her Ipad what I have, she tells me I have Hepatitis B, I almost fainted. She said they will take another blood test to see if it is Acute or Chronic, that she hasn't talked to very many patients about this so she will give me some paperwork (which she never did). I was freaking out all weekend. The following week they have the results of my 2nd blood test and I was fine! Nothing is wrong at all, the DR said she is sorry but the first DR should have told me that sometimes a test like this can come back as a false positive and should not have caused me so much worry. I have never seen bedside manner like this and would not recommend this place, it was awful to have to go through. read more

I was a patient of this office up until 34 weeks of pregnancy. I'm not usually one to get so offended by bedside manner and care, but this place is definitely lacking. I saw a good amount of the providers at the office and all but one did not have good bedside manner. Hazel was the only provider that seemed like she cared about the patient experience. All that I am talking about is a simple smile and follow-up questions about how the pregnancy is going. I was hardly ever told a plan of care (what we were to do next) unless I asked and even missed out on some of the genetic testing because I was not offered it at the correct time. The ultrasound technicians seemed inexperienced, but nice, and I had to go back to the office for additional imaging a couple of times. The picture quality is not very good either. The office looks nice and is clean but the lack of a genuine caring attitude makes the aesthetics worthless. Although I can say that the medical records employee was very nice and courteous when I requested the records be transferred to another office. I really did try to find the positive in this place, but the last provider I saw really made my decision to switch so much easier. read more

I am currently 8 months pregnant with my second girl, and MomDoc has done nothing but made me stressed about having my second baby. It started out ok, but you see someone new every visit, and no one is ever clear on what your visit is in regards to you. They continue to try and scare me with fears that I have about having another C section or deformities that my baby could have had. They did an ultra sound and because the baby's hand was in a fist they had me come in for 2 more ultrasounds and referred me to a specialist (which none of these were covered by insurance). I did not go to the specialist because by the 3rd ultrasounds, they discovered the baby had fingers and "she was just being stubborn". Every time I call for questions about my next visit, like what to expect, I never get a clear answer. They are always guessing like "I'm not sure, I think its just a simple check up." My visit at 32 weeks, the doctor told me the baby was face down and I didn't need anymore ultra sounds (which I have not had any complications this far so I shouldn't have needed the other unnecessary ultra sounds) and I was told to bring my FMLA papers to my next visit. I came in for my 34 week check up and they pulled me in for ANOTHER ultra sound!!!! I declined because why would I get one when the last doc told me I wouldn't be getting anymore. Then after declining, the doctor started treating me differently. She pressed on my stomach harder than anyone has ever and was hurting me and then used that as an excuse to try and get me to do an ultra sound. Then the doctor told me I had to come back with my FMLA paper a separate visit (which would be out of insurance again) for her to sign the papers because it takes way to long for a signature. I am so disappointed and disgusted in this practice. I feel scammed, lied to and mistreated. Please save yourself the stress, anxiety and fears (that do come true). I have transferred doctors and will not be back to MomDoc! read more
