I'm only writing the review because I feel like during your pregnancy you are deserving of quality…read morecare and proper bedside manner. If you want an office that will actually care about you and treat you like an individual and not be seen by robots, do NOT go here. We recently moved to the east valley and needed a new OB as I have a high risk pregnancy due to my previous medical history. I explained to them on the phone if this was someone their office could handle and I needed to see an OB not a nurse or a midwife due to the complications of my pregnancy. I was scheduled for an ultrasound and "doctor's " visit. The front desk seemed more concerned about their nails and hair than doing their job. I had to redo the same paperwork 3 times because the girl upfront kept deleting it. The ultrasound tech was rude and just seemed annoyed we were there. She has zero personality. While the medical assistant was extremely nice; she did not seem to know what was going on; her nails were longer than her fingers which don't seem professional in a medical setting or even sanitary & she was chewing gum with her mouth open as she spoke to us twirling her hair and ignoring most of what I was saying. I was seen not by a doctor but a nurse; she 100% ignored my questions and concerns. I was then told thy were not going to do anything but have me come back because " we don't even know if you have a viable pregnancy " I was 6 days earlier than we thought and instead of being professional she was rude and heartless. This causes so much unnecessary stress. We got TWO second options that same week and they BOTH agreed the due date would be moved and baby was healthy and growing and there was NO reason to say what she said especially since I am still nursing and there is zero way to know the exact date of conception. When I told her what she said " no you HAVE to be this far along and you're just not matching that " It causes so much unnecessary stress but the way the entire appointment was handled was unprofessional and has zero human compassion. The only reason that I even stopped to wright this review was because the front desk called me today to verify that I canceled my apt. When I said yes I decided to go with an office with better bedside manner her response was " oh yeah that TOTALLY makes sense " and laughed and hung up.

All providers and staff remained the same as it was all branches of the overall practice. It is a large building and located in Suite 314. It is not very clear in the directory, but you will take the elevator to the 3rd floor. I found immediately once exiting the elevator. Everything looked new and maintained well, so I can see why they transitioned to this office. Upon check in, you will be directed to take a urine sample typically and then take a seat in the lobby as you await to be taken to a room. The bathroom is on the right hand side after the desk. It is much farther back than you realize, and don't want you entering the wrong room! Especially since there is a room labeled L and M, which I initially thought could be Ladies and Men. Oops! The lobby is spacious and seats 20+ people. The chairs are spacious if you wanted to spread out as Covid is still prevalent at times, plus any nasty bugs going around. I personally like to social distance though this is a normal practice to come in sick sick. Overall, it was pretty comfortable while you wait and I did enjoy the third level views from the windows that bring in natural light. As for the type of care and care quality, I must say they have some exceptional staff!!! Donna Bouley N.P. was absolutely amazing this visit! Extremely thorough in reviewing family history, my chart, and tailoring prescription to exactly what I need. She also advocated for me to be able to schedule and see a surgeon for a consult for something I've been trying to advocate for myself for over a decade. Truly appreciative of the care received at this office this week, and all the past visits as they diagnosed a tumor and have been great monitoring it. I cannot recommend them enough!

I should start out by saying that I received good care from Dr. Holmes and his staff, and delivered…read morea healthy baby girl by C-section, which he skillfully performed. However, here are the things I wish I had known before I chose him as my provider: There were times during my labor and delivery that he didn't know who I was. He kept confusing me with other patients. This was entertaining in some instances and not in others - for example, when he confused me with someone else who under no circumstances wanted a C-section. My baby's heart was in distress, my own heart (with a documented and discussed history of arrhythmia) was tachycardic, my water had ruptured more than 30 hours before (a month prematurely), I was running a temperature, and I was only dilated to a 2, and yet *I* had to be the one to bring up the possibility of a C-section. He was shocked when I did, because he thought I was vehemently against surgical intervention. This, despite the fact that two days before at my 35 week appointment, we literally shook hands that he would lean toward C-section if things went south. Another instance of him not knowing who I was: my water broke at midnight, so I called the answering service. They took my name and gestational age, and within a minute I was speaking to the doctor who informed me to head to Banner Gateway. I saw him the next morning, where he looked at my chart and expressed surprise that I was only 35 weeks pregnant. This could have been dangerous if my baby had been any more premature than she was, as Banner Gateway isn't as well equipped to take care of premature babies as Banner Desert is. Even if the answering service failed to tell him my weeks of gestation, shouldn't he have asked? Or shouldn't he have remembered, considering I saw him 12 hours before that phone call, at my 35 week appointment? At first I thought it was neat that he spent so much time with his patients and that he does all the ultrasounds personally. But ultimately what that means is that he and his staff are over-extended, and you WILL wait at each appointment; possibly up to an hour. I couldn't figure out why he wouldn't just hire an ultrasound tech to re-distribute some of the work, because lord knows the man has plenty of demand. (I even had a hospital staff member say to me incredulously, "He sure delivers a lot of babies...") I assume he just doesn't want to pay another staff member, but the entire practice suffers as a result, and it doesn't look good for him. Tip: If you choose him as your provider, get into the habit of asking for the very first appointment of the morning. (And even then, you might have a wait, depending on how his early-morning rounds at the hospital go. But it's your best hope.) The ultrasound equipment is ancient; forget about seeing clear images of your baby. You'll be lucky if you can make out a spine or a head. My best friend was pregnant at the same time as me and the difference between our ultrasound photo keepsakes makes me sad. I had no concept of my daughter's face or profile before she was born. The office itself is very old and tired and decorated like an 80's Relief Society room. There's a Book of Mormon in the lobby. (I'm even Mormon but found that off-putting.) At my first appointment, they gave me a little trinket that I got the strong impression was intended to be distributed in the parking lots of Planned Parenthood clinics - a pin showing you the size of your baby's feet at 10 weeks, and I think there was a scripture? If I recall correctly? All of this to say, I did not get the impression that the doctor would be supportive of all of a woman's options and rights when it comes to pregnancy. At my six week follow up, he talked about prescribing me a birth control pill that could have caused my milk to dry up. Luckily I was informed enough to know that as a nursing mother I needed a pill without estrogen - but if I hadn't known that, it could have been disastrous to my milk supply. Also, as soon as I left my six week follow up, I realized he never cleared me for sex! I thought that was the whole point of the six week appointment!! It was never mentioned. I don't plan to have any more children, but if that changes, I won't be seeing Dr. Holmes again. He's a very nice man and his team is as wonderful as all the reviews say (Alejandra in particular is a true gem), but everything considered I cannot recommend the practice.

It would have been a lot easier if they just came up with a monthly payment plan like the other offices I've been to over the past 4+ years where you pay a set amount usually each month to cover everything including prenatal and labor and delivery. But each month was another statement after another of 20 dollars then i got hit with a 4k+ bill which didn't make any sense when my husband pays like 900 a month for the highest coverage for our insurance through banner Aetna. Not once in the 3 months did they ever ask for a payment. So here i am freaking out the past 3 months if I'm going to end up with this insane balance when there was clear coding submission issues. Another thing that was super nerve racking was when I was still going in for prenatal visits dr.Stacy Minter always gave me SO much anxiety it was insane. I thought i was gonna go into labor after she did a cervical check. Def not gentle. But i stayed pregnant for another 4+ weeks. The one thing that i found insanely rude and uncalled for is their notices they send out which i will attach to this review. Keep in mind I've only gotten one bill saying i owed over 4k+ back in April they were supposed to reprocess or resubmit with different coding. Then they send me this bill saying it's a final notice and never once called me to say that they got it figured out?? I was so confused. So we paid this right away but don't say i haven't contacted the office and make it seem like I'm the delinquent one in the matter!

Being pregnant more importantly having a high risk pregnancy and not being able to contact anyone through the central number or specific office extensions is so discouraging and frustrating for expecting mothers. We cannot be expected to text our appointments and concerns. We need to speak to an actual person to feel as though our services are being cared for. It's a disgrace the way their services are given. I went in for one ultrasound, my tech Teresa and she had terrible bedside manners and would alter office policies to her own discretion. I also arrived at the required time of 7:15am, and the office doors were locked. I tried to contact someone but of course, you're not able to speak with anyone there. In addition, Teresa took it upon herself to schedule my next ultra sound as opposed to verifying with my physician when the next one should actually be. The front desk also was clueless as to when my future appointments should be scheduled even though the order was given to them. It's a shameful way to provide care to individuals that are expecting. I canceled my services here and went to AMOMI for all my services. AMOMI gave me the luxury of speaking to a person, and had wonderful ultrasound techs. Being in healthcare myself, I understand the importance of patient advocacy and care and I would definitely not recommend this place for any healthcare services. Unfortunately, I do find some issues with how New Horizons operates. They're pretty pushy about their advertising for semaglutides for weight loss and I get emails seemingly every month about it. It's great that patients have options, but I'm not enthused about the implications for many of their patients who are also often there for their pregnancies. They also started pushing for AI for their services. AI can be a great tool when used well, but they seem to be using it to fix something that isn't broken. As other reviewers have stated, it has become a hindrance rather than convenience for setting up appointments. You can set up an appointment online however without AI if you're an existing patient. Moreover, they seem to be pushing for patient volume rather than giving enough balance for timely care per patient appointment. In medical settings, setbacks often happen, which I can sympathize with. I don't mind having to wait. However, every single time I've been here, I've always had to wait at least 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. Perhaps if they were able to have more staff on hand or stagger the appointments out more, it'll help patients feel less rushed. It would also help the doctors and nurses also be less overworked. Their online portal is mostly easy to navigate and I have had no issues sending questions and getting prompt responses through their messaging system. I also get my lab results within a week. Overall I love and appreciate the staff here, but I'm not too keen on how their overhead for the business operates and the business decisions they've been making in the last year. It's making me question whether I want to continue coming here despite the excellent staff. I hope they can reconsider and be more mindful of what they choose to push for and stand by.

I am extremely frustrated with this office. After moving and transferring my prenatal care to…read moreanother OB office, I was told that the portion of the OB financial package I had already paid would be fully refunded since I no longer owed anything and was no longer a patient. It has now been over two months, and I still have not received my refund. I've called multiple times and keep getting bounced between the front office and billing with no answers. Every time I'm transferred, the call gets disconnected, and no one ever follows up. The lack of communication and customer service has been very disappointing. If you plan to continue your pregnancy care at another office after making payments toward their OB package, be aware that getting your money back may be a huge hassle. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office.

My first visit here and so far so good. I did have a little trouble figuring out how to get in. I…read moredrove around the building trying to find the entrance. Finally I found an entrance door and was hoping I was in the right place. I was told to take the elevator which took a few minutes to find. It still took me a few minutes to find the correct office once I got off the elevator. A few bigger signs would help for those who've never been here before. The waiting area is pretty small, maybe about 6 chairs. I was there to see Dr. Gher, it was my first time seeing her. She was super nice and made me feel comfortable. Fingers crossed that I finally found my new gynecologist.

I've debated reviewing for awhile but after some terrible experiences and finding a new doctors…read moreoffice that I like, I feel like it's time. First, I'm giving them 2 stars because Dr. Estrada is great and if she were at another practice I would 100% go to her but everything else about Valley Women is terrible if you're pregnant. I got pregnant in March. On a sunday in June, 3 days before I had an appointment scheduled at VWFW, I went to the ER for bleeding and found out I was miscarrying. The ER doctor told me I needed to be seen by my OB "within 24 hours" his words. I even asked "I have an appointment on Wednesday, I just want to confirm is that too late?" And he said "yes that's too late you need to be seen tomorrow". Monday morning I called valley women and asked for an appointment, they gave me one for that day but then called me back and said they wouldn't see me. When I explained what the ER doctor told me the office manager got on the phone and was rude and not understanding. She told me my appointment was Wednesday take it or leave it and to call the triage line if things changed. 5 hours later I miscarried by myself with no contact from my doctor. I called the midwife line, the emergency doctor line and the triage nurse line and it took hours to get a call back. Finally I got a nurse to call me back and she told me I "should have been seen" and to come in tomorrow. It's terrible when you have to rely on google for your medical needs because your "for women by women" doctors office won't help you. But that's not the worst of it! I went the next day for my appointment and the ultrasound tech asked me if I was there for my anatomy scan and if I was excited to see the baby. No one marked notes that I miscarried or she didn't read them not sure. That happened THREE MORE TIMES at various visits. To the point where the last time I went the nurse asked me (8 weeks after my miscarriage) how excited I was to be 20 weeks pregnant. When I explained I miscarried she got flustered and left the room without finishing my check in. I was understanding each time it happened but it's incredibly concerning when multiple medical professionals within a practice don't read your charts at your visits. I decided at that visit that I wouldn't be back and was incredibly disappointed with them. If you're going for a regular checkup I'm sure they're great but if you're pregnant I'd suggest looking elsewhere!
