My husband and I were married in July 2017 in a small and private ceremony. I made the mistake of letting my husband choose the photographer which happened to be one of his friends. I had not seen any of this persons work but my husband wanted to help him out by hiring him to do our ceremony so I agreed. When we finally got the pictures we were extremely disappointed... we went through the entire gallery in silence... I even started tearing up. They were horrible and I was crushed. We had a different photographer for our reception that was held a few months later but I was still so disappointed that we didn't have any decent pictures from our actual wedding day. Like many guys my husband hates taking pictures! Whenever I ask to take a picture with him it's always accompanied with a sigh and an eye roll. With that being said I was surprised and delighted when he agreed for me to plan a photoshoot for us as a "re-do" to make up for the horrible wedding pictures. This is when I began my hunt for the perfect photographer! I came across Jessie's page and I really liked her style. I sent her a DM and to my surprise she responded promptly and professionally. I shared with her my vision of having a fall photoshoot, when the aspen leaves are a brilliant yellow. We selected a date in October and Jessie sent over a contract to make it official. I booked a hotel to make a weekend out of it, especially because we live in the valley and our sessions was 7am Sunday in Flagstaff. As the days approached I started to get nervous. The forecast was less than favorable and between the hotel, photographer fee and my husband taking the weekend off work there was a lot at stake. Jessie and I were texting every day that week leading up to the shoot. I had contemplated rescheduling as the forecast called for rain and thunderstorms. Jessie was supportive either way and was willing to take a chance if we were. My husband and I decided to risk it and drove up to Flagstaff that Saturday. It was cold but the rain had stopped... or so it seemed. The morning of the shoot we woke up to snow! I messaged Jessie concerned she may cancel but she was all in! We met her at aspen corner as we had originally planned. For those of you that know this location you know that it's usually packed with people on a weekend morning in October. To our delight we were the only people there. Our sessions was better than imagined! We had the gold leaves of the aspen trees with a light blanket of snow! Jessie was amazing and the direction she gave my husband and me during the shoot was so helpful!She made us feel extremely comfortable and actually made it fun!As we got in the car when we were finished my husband said he wouldn't mind shooting with her again! This coming from Mr. "I hate my picture being taken " was amazing! When we got our pictures back we were overjoyed! We loved ALL of our pictures! Jessie has restored my faith in photographers!Immediately after our shoot we booked with her again for Fall 2019 (yes a year in advance)! What can I say about Rose and Tim that accurately captures my experience with them? I've been…read morepondering this for a few weeks as I've worked on my ability to talk about my dog without having a breakdown. I initially reached out because my sister wanted to gift me with some professional photos of me and my soul dog, Champ, for Christmas. Rose responded to my inquiry almost immediately and we were taking about arranging a time for the shoot when Champ, at the age of 16, suddenly took a turn for the worse. I tearfully let Rose know that Champ wasn't going to make it to the weekend. The vet and I could only really count on making him comfortable for one night so that my Mom could be there for us as he went to sleep. Rose and Tim found time in their schedule to fit us in early. When they arrived it was like welcoming friends into my home and Champ was happy to see them and work with them as best he could in his condition. They were warm, kind, and understanding. Their warmth kept me from having a breakdown during the shoot and they caught some beautiful pictures of my best boy that really captured what a sweet soul he was. I will forever be grateful for these two. I have beautiful pictures that have been such a comfort while I'm grieving the loss of my best friend. I can't recommend these two enough.
