NOT this place! After the first class I think everyone that worked there already knew my daughters name. We started with my almost four year old. She LOVED it from day one! The teachers are absolutely incredible! After my two year old watched our oldest enough times, she started wanting to take dance class. She in VERY introverted so we thought there was no way she would do it. They held an open house one Saturday, and we took our two year old. Literally one of the instructors scooped up our two year olds hand with a huge smile on her face, and started teaching her. She LOVED IT. We signed her up but we still weren't sure if she would like it. Well she didn't like it, she LOVED it! So now our almost four year old and two year old both go here. Everyday they wake up asking if they get to go to dance class today! I've even had text conversation with the OWNER helping me sign up or answer questions. That's unheard of these days. There are MANY studios in the Keller/Southlake area, but I can promise you, this is the best one!!!

Then they have a tiny little window you can look through to watch your child, but all the moms are surrounding it. Only one mom was nice to me and knew that I was trying to see if my little girl was even interested so I could peek through the window every now and then. The studio itself is homey and well-loved: no, it's not a brand new giant warehouse with luxurious sprung floors. But those scratched wooden floors and smoothly-worn-down barres carry so much history and love and care. I took adult ballet classes here for a year in roughly 2022-2023. All of the instructors were amazing, and treated adult students exactly like they would have their teen students - we weren't babied or not taken seriously. Margo herself would sometimes come to sit and watch our classes; she is an absolutely lovely woman and still has all the grace and elegance of her younger years. Would highly recommend MDSB for adult ballet classes, which occur on Tues/Thurs evenings. I would supplement my classes here with classes at Texas Ballet Theater on the other days and felt like I got a very robust ballet education at both schools!

Pros: AM has an awesome staff of instructors! They have some of the brightest, funnest, and skilled Dancers I have seen yet. Their professionalism and ability to teach you to dance is absolutely solid! Cons: Price and Exclusivity. Price - AM is around 65% higher than independent studios in the area. They may tell you to weigh the "all you can take" group lessons, but even with that in mind the total cost is high since many studios do charge for groups but the price of group lessons is very low. Also, the additional "shows" are very costly not only to get into, buy into "heats' and the additional lessons to consider. They will push going to shows very hard. Exclusivity - the management of AM will aggressively call you out if you talk about outside dance events not associated with AM. In my case I was posting about dance events around town and got a stern reprimand from the owner that he could not allow me to do this. Needless to say that as a consumer I am now exercising my rights to do business elsewhere. Bottom line - if you want to learn to dance well they can for sure teach you to do so - it will just be very costly. If you want to get into the entire spectrum of dancing at multiple venues around town then it is best to look at other options!

My fiance and I came in to start lessons slightly embarrassed by our lack of grace on the dance floor, but they made us feel very comfortable. Our personal instructor was Stephanie and she is AWESOME. Our first introductory lesson was 30 minutes and was free - we loved it so much and ended up booking their basic foundations package (4 private lessons, 45 minutes each). Cons: While they are very nice, this may not be the best place to learn to dance unless you have a nice disposable income. The foundations package was $540, but each lesson was really only 30 minutes long with the last 15 minutes of the class just talking about technique and planning what to do for future lessons. The one thing that we really disliked is how pushy the staff is for you to schedule your next lesson with them... it's almost like they are forcing you to ensure that you come back. Stephanie, fortunately, was the only one who seemed to understand our hectic schedule and allowed us to schedule our lessons at our convenience. All in all, I highly recommend taking dance lessons, and if you are unsure if Arthur Murray is a good fit for you, try out their introductory lesson and see how you like it. After doing lots of searching and looking online before the move I came across this studio I had reached out even before we moved to ask if it was to late to get my daughter in. I was ALWAYS responded to quickly by the office staff especially miss Angie! The first day we went in to try a class I instantly felt welcomed and like family already. This studio was a lot smaller than our previous one so I was a bit nervous at first but we felt an instant connection and looked no further. We love the values of this studio and how much they lean into faith in all they do. We had our first recital with them in June and enjoyed it, all the staff works really hard and I have found that the "smaller" studio to us made for a better home studio for us where people really get to know you and your child's name. I pray my daughter continues to grow here and be challenged to become a better dancer and better person.
