Everything from the front desk, to the aides that help get you started with warm up's, to the therapists were amazing. The depth of knowledge my therapist had was impressive. She fully explained all the home exercises I needed to do. When my therapist was on vacation she made sure I would be with someone that understood what I needed. Since their documentation is all electronic, the substitute was easily able to see exactly what I had been doing and what new things to add to my routine. Would never go anywhere else!

The care I received from Jake and Maddy were good and a pleasant experience. However, the front…read moreoffice gave me incorrect information about my insurance benefits. This was my first PT experience and I was told that I was going to have a $40 co-pay per visit, which I figured would be like my PCP where no deductible was at play. Even on the intake form, I initialed that I only had a $40 co-pay per visit. I ended up visiting 5 times and every time they took a $40 co-pay. More than two months later, I unexpectedly get a bill for $400! I called the billing office and they confirmed that I was given incorrect information about my benefits by the office staff, and that my deductible did apply in this case. Had I known that and had knowledge about how much each visit was going to cost me, I likely would have not scheduled additional visits and continued my rehab at home. Even though the billing office confirmed that bad information was given to me, they were unwilling to make it right. They are leaning on their disclaimer form, which makes them harmless for any mistakes made on their end. It's too bad patients don't have that type of protection. I have a pretty standard BCBS plan from what I understand. After the first visit was billed and paid, the practice should have notified me that my benefits were not as they were presented so that I could make an informed decision about future visits. Instead, they continued to only collect a co-pay and not notify me of the applicable deductible. I'm going to pay the bill but I wanted to post today to warn other patients to check your own insurance coverage prior to going to this practice. Additionally, I suggest that you inquire what the service fees and contracted rates are for your insurance coverage so that you can understand what potential patient responsibility you might have in the case that that they make another error in reading your benefits. Despite the good care, I will not be returning to this practice due to their unwillingness to right a mistake. I was willing to split the difference with them and pay $200, but they declined. Very disappointing.

The improvements I made over my time there have greatly improved my quality of life, and even though I "graduated" they made sure to provide me with a good sense of direction on where to go from here to continue to maintain my improvements. I would definitely return to Bay State in the future if I find myself in need of PT again. I've gone to a few other places over the years for various ailments, and none of them compare to Bay State Franklin. I almost didn't want to leave!

Not once did she make me feel embarrassed. Instead, she laughed and said, "Girl, it's okay, we all get backed up sometimes." That honestly made my whole day. Healthcare workers like her make such a difference. She treated me with kindness, humor, and genuine care when I was feeling pretty miserable. Give that woman an award! Seriously, Maria deserves recognition for the way she takes care of people. Thank you for making a not-so-fun ER visit way more comfortable than I ever expected.

The nurse and staff on fourth floor were great! Other than that, 5th floor amd ER are worst ever…read more My son was in a car accident. Broke 5 bones. 3 in one leg, two in another. ER Dr only x-rayed one leg. Even though I asked about the other, stated that was all they found. 2 days later (while in a make shift splint on the 4th floor) my son was still in alot of pain I asked the attending doctor to review the x-ray from when in ER. He flipped through his records and said " they didnt x-ray that leg!) My son was bruised from hip to toe, I showed the Dr and he ordered another x-ray. His femur and tibia were broken. He had gone 2 days without this being noticed due to the incompetence of the ER Dr. He was eventually transferred to MGH where he was properly casted and cared for. 2 weeks later my son was suffering from a blockage. Back to ER (unfortunately, needing ambulance transport due to bilateral casting and having to go by stretcher, Milford was only option.) He was admitted, he wasn't cleaned out properly and few days after discharge I was abled to arrange transportation to Newton Wellsley. He was taken care of there. Three months later, my son is suffering from acute insomnia. After working relentlessly with his psychiatrist with nothing working for him, on the 9th sleepless night, he became delusional, hearing voices, paranoid and seeing things that weren't there. ER did nothing. Had a behavioral clinician eval and sent him home. Unbelievable!

She devised a number of exercises that helped me tremendously and that I can continue to use at home. I've gained back alot of mobility and strength to move forward. The PT's here are terrible they don't teach you anything about your lifestyle changes (for example, how to sit properly or what you should be doing outside of physical therapy so your injury doesn't reoccur) All they do is give you a few exercises and send you on your way. They never give you heat to start, and are on a time crunch the entire visit. I wouldn't recommend this Physical Therapy company to anyone. They do work with kids but the PT don't have any educational background with children. Stay away!!!!
