This was my first time to Momi Land and honestly my first time to a play place other than a free one at fast food restaurants for Chuck E. Cheese's. The idea is simple. Give kids a safe, clean, fun space to play. Safety: the equipment appeared to be well maintained and the play structure had all of the things (padding) you would expect to make it safe for kids to play. Cleanliness: In general, ball pits kinda gross me out. However, the ball pit here seemed fairly clean. Momi branded grippy socks were required for all kids and $3 per pair. I wish I would have seen someone sanitizing surfaces while we were there, but I did not. There were a decent number of kids, so naturally, surfaces were getting dirty. Fun Factor: There were enough slides and activities to keep a little kid (3-5yr old) busy for a few hours. As a parent, it's a little difficult to interact with your kids as parents aren't allowed on the play structure or trampolines. There is an area designated for babies, but in general, I would say this location is geared towards 3-5yr olds. Most parents found a seat in the parent area and basically just sat and watched their kids play. Value: $15 for first kid, $10 each additional kid, 2 and under $10, under 1 with paid sibling are free, 2 free parents per reservation, $5 for every additional parent. $3 per kid for socks. There was no time limit on how long we could stay, and because of that, I would say it is a decent value. However, if you've only got an hour, I don't think it's worth it. Overall: Momi Land fit the bill for what we needed. The benefit of Momi Land over going to a free park is the air conditioning and novelty of it. The decor and colors gave our kids something fun to do on a hot day and kept them contained to the play area. I don't really see how a parent would want to come here on a regular basis, but apparently they do because they offer memberships. Tip: outside food (other than small snacks) was not allowed.

Deceptive Practices and Unprofessional Service at La Navona…read more I recently had my wedding at La Navona, and the experience was incredibly disappointing due to the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and deceitful practices by the wedding planner, Kelsey Ireland. From the start, Kelsey was difficult to reach, adding unnecessary stress to the wedding planning process. Despite paying for her services, she rarely responded to my emails or texts and was often unavailable. On the day of the wedding, despite clear weather and only a 15% chance of rain, Kelsey insisted on moving my ceremony indoors. She claimed she had been trying to contact me, but there were no missed calls on my phone. One of the most frustrating aspects of the day was the wedding ceremony program, which was included in my package. Kelsey promised to fix the program the night before the wedding, but she didn't follow through. The next morning, just hours before the wedding, she told me the best she could do was to enlarge the existing program without making any real changes. This forced me to scramble and fix the program myself on the morning of my wedding--a task that should never have been my responsibility. Kelsey was also rude to some of my guests and my bridal party, which is completely unacceptable. Additionally, she didn't stay for the entire wedding, and we were not informed she would be leaving early, despite having paid for her to be there. The wedding was also understaffed, with no hors d'oeuvres brought to the bridal party during pictures, and no announcements made for guests to take their favors or the small rum cakes we provided--resulting in hundreds of dollars lost. To make matters worse, Kelsey assured me that La Navona would provide shade for our musicians, but when the day came, no shade was provided. I had to pay out of pocket at the last minute to ensure the musicians weren't left in the sun. This kind of deceit and lack of follow-through from Kelsey at La Navona is simply unacceptable. Guests reported that Kelsey was telling them the pictures were done, causing us to miss photos with some family members. We are also missing our cake topper, which was not returned to us at the end of the night. Instead of enjoying my wedding day, I was left emotionally distressed due to the numerous issues caused by Kelsey and the venue's staff. This is not the wedding day I paid for. The overall experience was marred by unprofessionalism, poor communication, and outright lies. I cannot recommend La Navona or Kelsey Ireland to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy venue for their special day.

Partly thanks to my wonderful Yelp friends and handy dandy GPS system! I parked at the garage on the left side of Creekside. Found plenty of parking spots for my event and followed a bunch of familiar ladies up the steps to the Creekside Event Center's 3rd floor. They were a little worried as I seemed to be questionable at first but put their minds at ease I was attending the same event as them for the Women's Philanthropy session of Sharon Tal the Israeli Fashion Designer. The event center itself is so beautiful. They had everything catered from the hors d'oeuvres to the wine bar. The women helped themselves and we stood around mingling and admiring the designs of Sharon Tal. Later we listened to a speech from Sharon Tal and the president of Maskit in Israel, Ruth Dayan. She couldn't be there in person as she was busy celebrating her birthday at 101 years young!! Yes, she does act young for this age, as I viewed a YouTube video of her having a good ole time in the Russian dance club. As a gift Maskit got her a barrel of her favorite alcohol to celebrate her life and legacy of this company. I thoroughly enjoyed this event and learning about how Sharon Tal became a fashion designer from working with the world renowned Alexander McQueen to designed her own outfits for the runway, everything was amazing to see and hear. I hope to be able to attend more fun events like this here again soon!

Pulled up to the Books and Bubbles Book Fair on 4/17 at The Five Party and Event Center in Columbus, OH -- and y'all, it was a whole vibe! The venue was cute, spacious, and had plenty of room for all the amazing local authors showcasing their work -- plus a little game room in the back for some extra fun. (You know I love a well-rounded event!) Highlights: * Met incredible authors like Larry Robertson (wordssavedlives.com), Signe Damron (signe-ture.com), Jordan Burton (theartbyjburt.com), Joseph Doherty (joeydoherty.com), Sylvia Harris (srdharrisbooks.com), and Lachandra Baker (lbbedutainment.com). * Copped two animated kids' books for $25 -- signed directly to my beau's niece, who immediately clutched them like treasures. ("It says my name!" she screamed as her mom got guilt-tripped into reading them...again. ) AND I got a book of poetry from Larry, and will plan to visit Jordan's art exhibit at ROY G BIV before the end at May 2nd! It warmed my heart to recognize faces from the Main Library Literary Fair, the First Annual Poetry Festival, and Zora's House events. Considering my ancestors risked their lives to read, I don't take the beauty of these moments lightly. Major love and respect to everyone keeping the literary flame alive. Final verdict: If you love books, community, and a good glass of bubbly, put this fair on your must-do list next year. See what other events are happening at The Five or create your own event there!
