The Thukpa was decent, but the soup had too much masala and could have been more balanced. The crispy fried pork belly was good, and the portion size was decent. You don't get the bill till you go up to pay at the counter, and then they stand there and watch you calculate their tip... They have all the curtains closed, so it's dark and uncomfortable, when it'd be much nicer if you could look out their many huge windows into the lovely back courtyard. They overcharged me at the register. The bathroom was dirty even though it was first thing in the morning. (On a positive note, it was extremely warm in there and felt just like a sauna - perfect on a bitter cold day.) The polyester tablecloths were dirty, (again, even though we seemed to be their first customers of the day) as was the cutlery.. I don't want to say don't go... but if you do, 1. order off the menu 2. order naan, not rice 3. bring earplugs 4. bring your own mug 5. check the bill well before paying (comparing it to the menu prices) 6. wipe your silverware 7. wash your hands well when you get home 8. either order extra appetizers, or have snacks in the car for after
