The vegetable or onion pakora are great starters along with the most tasty samosas. I also usually get the roti which comes out perfectly fresh and warm. My husband enjoys the curries. I always end my meals mango lassi to go. The portions are quite generous and the price very reasonable. In terms of ambience, it's very plain with a few tables in room to the side. That does not bother me in the least because I only have eyes for the food. The Mo:Mo was below average. The service was okay. The meat filling was too dry, although the dough itself was soft and seemed fresh, which makes me think they didn't use frozen wrappers. The Thukpa was decent, but the soup had too much masala and could have been more balanced. The crispy fried pork belly was good, and the portion size was decent. Yum!!! Everything we had here was great. Small little family owned restaurant. When you first come in, there is a bell to ring to be seated if no one is up at the counter. They have a pretty simple menu. We ordered the onion app (can't recall the name) and it came with this spicy dipping sauce. So good! Then did the chicken chow mein and curry. Everything was fantastic and tasty. I loved the curry! I did med hot but could have made it even spicier. Parking was all street but easily accessible all front. They also seem to do more take outs. This is my kind of joint! No fuss, no frills, kind of hole in the wall establishment where a lot of natives eat at! Yet they still have a front entrance/waiting area, parking lot and real paper menus. Menu selection is very big and everything was reasonably priced. Taste and presentation were spectacular. Our server was nice, friendly and got everything right. Speed of dishes was slower to come out considering we were the only other couple. Lighting was iffy and the tables and chairs were kind of greasy but it adds to the authentic ambiance. The lamb came out a bit dry but it tasted great mixed with all the other sauces and curries so no worries. A little Nepali gem hidden a bit north of Akron. Yesterday was my first time visiting here despite having lived in northeast Ohio for over four years now. The food was absolutely delicious. I really wish I had visited this place earlier, but better late than never I suppose. I ordered the chicken tikka, the vegetable pakora, and a mango lassi. They were all very delicious. The chicken in the chicken tikka tasted a lot better than most of the Indian spots around here and the curry was seasoned well and not too creamy. The vegetable pakora were well fried and crispy and the sauce that came with it was very delicious. Mango lassi tasted like any other mango lassi, but still delicious nonetheless. My friends got the chow mein. I tried a couple bites and it was very delicious as well. Some extra comments about this place is that their interior is very modest and a bit crowded, so if you think you'll be uncomfortable dining in, order to go. Their spice scale is very real so don't order a 4 or 5 unless you want some heat. I love spicy food and got the 4, but it definitely wrecked some havoc on my stomach afterwards. I ordered paneer tikka masala and Nepali spaghetti with Roti on the side. Their serving size are very big. Definitely are getting your moneys worth. My friend and I were in the area for lunch and decided to check this place out on the recommendation of a friend from the area. Not disappointed at all. My friend and I started out with the Gundruk Soup ($3.50). Herby, savory and delicious. We then got the Nepali Salad ($4.00) which, while lovely in presentation, the dressing was much too spicy for my palette unfortunately. I got the Chicken Mushroom Gheeu ($12.50) while my friend got the Paneer Gheeu ($11), both served with rice. Both were beyond delicious. I want to go back just to get more. They give you the option of spice level, one to five and I opted for one - I may try two next time because one, while lovely, has little to no kick (great for those who want to eat it but can't take spice). We also got Rote ($3) to go with it which was great. To compliment the food, I got a Mango Lassi ($3) and it was delicious, Another friend joined us (the one from the area) and insisted we had to try the Paneer Pakora ($5) which was great, fried homemade cheese - no complaints. For dessert I got the Ras Malai ($2.25) whose texture fascinated me. I've never had it before and I can't say I will again but it was fun to try. My friend got the Gula Jamen ($2.25) which was less wet and more dough-y than I was used to. Both had a strong taste and scent of rose so if you're not into it, maybe steer clear. Their food was an incredible experience. Get the samosas for sure! We paid $5 and got 3 of them, large enough to share with 4 people. At other restaurants, I am sometimes disappointed by the samosas, but not here. Their samosas were so well made and well put together. Incredibly delicious and a must try. For entrees, we ordered their vegetable and chicken momos and chicken mattar. All of them were delicious! We got the mattar at a level 4 spice, and they made their spice true to scale. Chow mein and momos are two things I love to eat. In fact, they were 2 of my favorite fast food dishes back home. I wanted to have them for dinner tonight but somewhere outside of Cleveland. Parking : there is street parking available for a few cars in front of the restaurant. Ambience: this is more like a takeaway joint and nothing fancy. There are 5-6 tables that can accommodate 2 to 4 people at a time maybe. I don't feel disappointed with the ambience wherever I go as long as the food is good. Service : the staff is polite and service is fast, if not too fast. Food: I was able to try only the chicken chow mein today as they were out of chicken momos for today. The chowmein was absolutely delicious and tasted the same as the chowmein I get back home. Value for money: the food is reasonably priced. I'd return to try their other dishes. read more

I had a restaurant.com gift card, so figured I'd give this place a shot. Their dine-in menu is pretty big, but on their website under "carry out menu", there are only 4 things. Maybe it's possible to order other things, but I kept it simple and pretty much ordered all 3 main dishes on the carry out menu. And I'm glad I did. It's a no frills kind of place, but wasn't dirty or anything. I'd eat there. They were polite, and there was parking on the street in front. I loved the food. The thukpa soup was loaded with colorful ingredients, and despite getting the non-spicy version, it was still kind of spicy. I got pork, and it was very crispy smaller chunks, which I like. The next two dishes they asked for a spice level, you pick between 1-5. I picked 2, which was perfect. It was that, I'm not sweating and needing to chug milk afterwards, but I definitely felt it in my lips. The chicken chowmein was ridiculous. Amazing. I can't wait to eat it again. The curry was brought to the table in a small metal pot, while the rice was served on a separate dish - mix them together and you have a delightful creation! The curry was delicious and impressively light, unlike some other variations of curry that are super heavy and weight you down like a cinder block. I passed by many times always wanting to try it out but never did.... until today. My son is visiting from California and when we passed by I mentioned it to him. So when we got hungry later he said let's try it out. I'm soooooo glad we did! He had Thukpa, I had chicken chow mein. Both of them were delicious! Not too spicy, so much flavor in everything. We also got the appetizer platter with a variety of their apps. The vegetable one was the best, I didn't care for the fried cheese. But the sauce they served was yummmm! I've been to this restaurant on two separate occasions, one for takeout momo, and the other to try more food with my friend. Despite the location and modest exterior, Nepali Kitchen is the real deal as far as Nepali cuisine is concerned. The restaurant is frequented by Nepali people, and the menu is authentic to Nepal. I thoroughly enjoyed the momo I got from this place many months ago, which prompted me to come back to try it again. I got the appetizer sampler and the Nepali omelette; my friend got the spicy curry. We both also got mango lassi. The mango lassi was standard as far as the drink goes, but the Nepali omelette was very unique, and something I never had before. Rather than being the Western style of omelette, it was more stir fried eggs with rice and nuts. Very very flavorful, unlike anything I've had before. The appetizers were similar to what I might expect from an Indian restaurant, but were still nevertheless very good. The curry was a bit too spicy for me, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. There aren't very many Nepali restaurants in Ohio, but if you are in the mood to try it, I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Food. Everything I ever order is always tasty. I don't like my food spicy so I get "no spice level" still very flavorful and delish. My go to is chicken tikka with poori (bread). All the dishes come with a side of white rice. My spouse gets biryani which are rice dishes that he always enjoys. The servings aren't huge but enough to take at least a little home. Atmosphere. Where this place is lacking. Home type feel. Not many tables, maybe 7-8. But have never had to wait for a table. If they are busy service will be slower. The is always only one server who is the same one every time I go. They usually have Indian YouTube videos playing on the TV. Takeout.
