Looking for amazing, delicious and freshly prepared Indian food? You need to come here, and come hungry! The flavor explosion that happens in your mouth is over-the-top! Save room for dessert! Even if you have to take some of your food home, you will want to eat dessert at the table, while it's fresh. The service was also above and beyond. So attentive and helpful! Friendly too. We were checked on frequently, and water glasses refilled often. The menu has many fantastic dishes on it, as well as appetizers, soups, salads and many vegetarian choices too. If you don't know what something is on the menu, the staff will answer your questions. They also make recommendations too based on personal preferences. You will want to order some naan too! This place is a hidden gem. The food on the buffet was fresh, and there was a decent selection. Not just 1 or 2 meats. The Naan was brought fresh to the table. The people there were very nice. The restaurant was clean as well. The only down sides are that it's a little pricey for lunch, and the spice level is a little on the low side. It's understandable that it's not very spicy being for general clientele, but wish it could be a tad more spicy. The flavor made up for most of it though. Was hoping to see chicken saag, but they did have goat, and the chili chicken was great. I will definitely visit again. read more

My son and I are Indian food junkies and have eaten our way around town. We decided to try the Saffron Patch and I would have to say it is the best around. We ordered togo the lamb saag (spinach) mild and the tandoori chicken (mild). The chicken is superb! Both dishes had aromatic spices that I have not found in any other restaurant around here. When you walk in, your nose is immediately filled with ambrosial spices that are used regularly in Indian food- a very promising smell! Upon entry, you don't realize how spacious the place is- and it is also adorned with elegant Indian themed decor. Immediately I noticed the ample seating and wait staff that came to our assistance very promptly. My family frequents the lunch buffet, which offers a wide diversity of Indian cuisine! They have everything from Tandoori Chicken to Saag Paneer to Goat Curry. My personal favorites are the classic Chicken Tikka Masala as well as the Cauliflower Manchurian. And pairing these with some rice and yogurt- I am in food heaven! Nothing was too hot/ spicy- but everything was incredibly flavorful! The buffet even includes delicious butter naan- omg it was so warm, soft, and doughy I think I ate the entire basket on my own. There are also some dessert options for those sweet-toothed customers. Additionally, the staff is very pleasant and friendly. Almost all of the customers, including my own family, knew them by name which showed the loyalty of the customers and emphasized the easygoing nature of the staff. As a child of Indian immigrants, I am very picky when choosing Indian restaurants because it has to compete with my family's homemade cuisine. I came here with a group of friends, eager to try out a new Indian restaurant. The interior was lovely an a lot bigger than I was expecting. The waitress brought a complimentary bread with two sauces to our table. Thinner and crispier than naan, it was a lovely start to our dinner. I went with my usual, palak paneer ($14.00) with a level two spice, garlic naan ($3.50) and a mango lassi ($2.50). Everything was completely lovely. The first time I ordered from here it was delicious! The malai kofta was amazing and had the perfect amount of sauce to dip bread in, yumm! The second time it wasn't as good, way leas palatable and too little sauce. The third time my bread was burnt and I got very tiny naans, and since the store is far I opted for a refund instead of going all the way back to get quality good. This last time I decided to try them once more and was so excited to receive my food. I tasted my dish and was immediately disappointed. It tasted as if they put sugar in it!!! I couldn't believe it and wondered why in the world would they put sugar in vegetables. I still don't know why and probably won't order from here again. I was too far way to drive and had just gotten off of work and just didn't feel like it but was hungry. They delivered my order from Akron to cleveland. OMG and the food? Delicious. I've been coming to this restaurant for years. I love Indian food and this used to be my place of preference. However, about the last year of me coming to eat or ordering takeout I've noticed the quality of the food has degraded. My usual order is shahi paneer and garlic naan. The gravy is not done right. It's thick and chunky with oil just sitting on top. It tastes sweet, that's not normal. The naan is not cooked long enough and still very doughy. I will say we got chicken makhani as well, although it was sweet, I did like the quality of the chicken. The quality of service was okay. When I go to Indian restaurants I don't really expect 10/10 service, I am simply there for the food. The staff was all very kind, however very inattentive. There were multiple times that people walked past and looked, seeing we needed something and just continued to walk on. So I guess my conclusion is I wouldn't waste time or money coming back here. While I've never stepped foot inside this restaurant, I can speak highly of the online order/delivery experience and without getting too far into it, I can easily say I would consider ordering from them again if I ever find myself in Akron. I discovered them after doing a quick search on Yelp and with their most recent reviews being really positive, I decided this would be my hotel dinner for the night. I was starving and pleased to see that my hotel had a microwave and mini-fridge, so I was happy to have leftovers. I ordered the two piece vegetable samosa for an appetizer and the vegetable korma and garlic naan for my entrée. The portion sizes were enormous, and I definitely had enough food to enjoy leftovers for lunch the next day. The samosas were fried to a crispy golden brown and filled with a tasty potato and veggie filling. They came with a cilantro/mint and tamarind chutney for tipping and both were on point. I very much enjoyed alternating my dipping selection, as both added a great deal of flavor to the dumpling. As for my entrée, the vegetable korma was exactly what I expected (this is my favorite Indian dish and I order it everywhere I go). A variety of veggies including peas, cauliflower, potatoes, and more covered in a creamy cashew sauce. The online ordering system didn't ask me for the heat level, but it was mild and pretty yummy. The naan was cooked well and worked perfectly as a utensil for all that goodness. I didn't even get halfway through before I was stuffed and decided to save the rest for another meal during my trip. We visited the buffet here on a Saturday about one hour before it closed. Saffron rice was tasty but crunchy in parts. The chicken Tikka masala was dry. They also had goat curry, some fried appetizers and a few vegetarian options. The service was poor as we did not get water for about 5 minutes. We had to ask for naan twice and didn't receive it until almost leaving. When checking out I lifted the spoon to get anise mints and there was hair in the bowl. Would not recommend. read more

A nice little spot in the valley to check out next time you're craving Indian food. I usually get one of their curries or the tandoori chicken. Their appetizers are delicious and I always like to get some Naan with my meal. It's a great spot to go with groups and their staff is always very courteous. My only critique of this place is that their quality seems to waver between some of the visits I've had. Sometimes it's perfect, other days the food seems a little less fresh. Also I personally think the grilled items taste significantly better when dining in than take out. read more

I took my daughter-n-law here because she's new to the area and loves Indian food. I thought the best time to go would be during lunch because they have a buffet and you can try a variety of food. It was very busy, and the gentleman who was behind the cash register was also being server, buser, and food runner. It took a while for him to get our order drink order, but I was glad to get the buffet so we could serve ourselves. It wasn't replenished very quickly, though, and several items were already gone. Needless to say, we were a little disappointed. I also ordered butter chicken to go because it's my favorite dish and it wasn't on the lunch buffet that day, but it was not like I've had it before. Great Indian comfort food with a friendly, helpful staff. There's even a neat little bar in there. Nice eating environment as well. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala, which was yummy, but I felt the chicken was overcooked. Then again, most restaurants and most people don't know that if you cook chicken to 165°F, it's way overdone. Anyway, I digress. Overall the food was great. I will return. The location in the valley is nice too, next to everything outdoors. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making it the best place to get food from when having a rough day! Must try the Chicken Madras and Aloo Gobi (with a side of garlic naan, obviously!), portions are large enough that one entree can last you multiple meals.
