The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, answering every question thrown at them with enthusiasm, and they were so warm and great with the kids in our group. You could tell they are truly passionate about what they do, and it made the whole experience that much more memorable. My son about 5 minutes into the tour said he wanted to work there when he grew up. Don't sleep on the gift shop either! For a smaller store, it was seriously impressive -- packed with Wild Republic plushies in every variety, alligator trinkets, shirts, and so much more. Let's just say we didn't leave empty-handed! What also makes this place extra special is the heart behind it. Owner/Operator Chris is deeply involved in the local community, regularly donating to schools and welcoming student field trips. It's rare to find a business that gives back the way they do, and it makes supporting them even easier. A MUST VISIT if you are even within 90 minutes of the facility. 10/10. 5 stars. BIG RECOMMEND.

We saw a lot of crocs and gators which was awesome. We started out with Reagan as our tour guide and then got Mason. Both girls were great! My daughter also loved the baby goats they had that we stopped and saw after. I would say our only complaint was they did not feed the gators very much on their end to show us and they mentioned that they had had a busy day with field trips and were low on chicken. I feel like that could have been better planned so that we got the full experience regardless if there were other tours. Otherwise highly recommend to do the VIP tour vs self guided because the animals definitely know the keepers and are way more active than if you walk around by yourself.

It was July and we thought it would be a good place seek refuge from the sweltering heat and humidity before the sunset. I did notice that the attraction only had 2 stars on Yelp, but was willing to take a risk. It looked similar to some sort of immersive ride like Indiana Jones. My 6yo picked the Mysterious Underworld over the Shark Attack. The ticket attendant was an inattentive young teen. I asked when the show was going to begin and he let out a loud sigh and said "I don't know, it might be now or maybe longer. Stand in that line." He pointed to the shaded Mysterious Underworld outdoor waiting area. We were waiting in the space while other attendees were rudely smoking cigarettes around us. 5 mins turned to 30 mins. My son started to show signs of overheating so I asked the attendant again and he sighed and said I don't know! So we went into the other line for the 5D shark attack which was moving faster. When we got inside they said we were in the wrong line. We walked inside to our ticketed Underworld attraction and told the operator that we were outside for over a 30 mins. She angrily kicked us out and told us to go back outside. We asked if we could be inside with the A/C and said our son was overheating and she insisted that we go back outside because it wasn't our turn. I was livid and was working on getting our money back especially since there were no apologies for the miscommunication from the staff. Suddenly, 10 mins later the operator let us in and we decided to just go on the ride since it would've been faster than me trying to ask the attendant for my money back. Kids under 3 are free-- also have additional prices for active duty military and seniors. Feed bags are very generous and an additional $4 per bag. Animal information brochures are provided with ticket purchase and show interesting facts and information about many- but not nearly all- of what you will see. The drive through park is a bit shorter than some when comparing to others around Texas and you are encouraged to throw feed and not hand feed. But the boardwalk and activities in the middle section (called Explorers Retreat) more than make up for it. The boardwalk has an additional walk through area where you can feed and view more animals and you can grab another animal brochure in your way in. This area is stroller and wheelchair friendly. The explorers area also has other fun activities like food trucks, gemstone mining for $10, feed Puzzles the giraffe for $4 or $8 depending on the feed you choose, a bar, porta potties, a gift shop, and free petting zoo. Though many of the additional activities cost $$, the boardwalk walk through and petting zoo is free and included with your ticket purchase and it's definitely worth getting out to explore. Gemstone mining was $10 and included a gem card and a large bag of dirt and gems to clean in the moving water table. Marilyn, the woman in charge of this area, made it more than worth our money by drawing out the activity and engaging the kids. She really added to the experience. Feeding the giraffe was fun but quick and could have used some more positive interactions, facts and information about giraffes from employees to enhance the experience for the kids. You are able to drive through as many times as you want after buying the day pass and we took advantage, driving through 3 times with our two bags of food. Pro tips- change drivers and seat positions during each new drive through for different perspectives, bring cups to separate food and give each person their own cup full, bring cameras and binoculars. We absolutely loved our experience and would have purchased season passes if they were a little more affordable. We can't wait to go back!

I purchased Amano shrimp from this store recently. The shrimp were very small/juvenile (around half…read morean inch), but were sold at standard adult pricing. Unfortunately, a couple of them did not survive within a few days of being introduced to a stable, cycled tank. The staff were polite, but I do think clearer separation between juvenile and adult livestock would help customers know what they're getting. I also noticed a few similar reviews mentioning livestock losses, which matches my experience. Overall, the store has a good selection, but I would recommend customers carefully inspect livestock size and condition before purchasing. But one big issue is that they do tend to be more pricey than other areas I've seen which is fair I get that family owned business but still. I don't think I'll be coming back though that's my opinion I personally opt for places like Infinite Aquatics
