There was only one of each of the shoes available to try on. And there was no one to assuming getting the other one. I need to try both shoes on to make sure they fit and are comfortable. If this wasn't a requirement for me, I would just order them online. This is a terrible way to operate, and if you have such a bad shoplifting problem that you can't put both shoes on the floor to try on, then you need to hire more people to prevent it instead of insulting my integrity and inconveniencing me when all I want is a pair of shoes. A lot of places carry shoes and don't have to do this. This place isn't special.

I also left a couple of rings I needed resized and my grandmothers saltwater pearls they needed too be restrung.I have had them re-strung a few times before over the years but now I would have to wait until August to get them back from the jeweler. He outsources his pearl stringing and when I picked them up the first time it took them two months to get them back to me. I wore them one time and the string started to fray and of course I took them back in and ask them to correct the problem. I only wear my pearls every now and again so for the string to fray and slack between pearls on the first day I wore them shows me that the workmanship was seriously flawed. I took the strand back and it has taken me till August to get them. The stupid part is they made ME pay them again for the warranty work. They chose to outsource the work. I had no idea they did not do their own pearl repairs. Making me pay for it again was a total shakedown. They had my heirloom jewelry and instead of Doing the right thing and guaranteeing their work, they forced to pay in order to get my jewelry back. Do not shop here. It will cost you. Do not use them for repairs. They don't stand by their work.

Let me just tell you, this place is a gem and worth a road trip if you don't live in the area. People who visit the area should put this place on their to do list, and if you live locally you will want to visit often. When we arrived in downtown Freeport the Lucy Goose was easy to find and free street parking is plentiful! There are patio tables out front that sets the stage for the flair of the store and restaurant. When we walked in, we were greeted by the owners who are still hard at work making this store all it can be and more. The store is a nice blend of old and new, with clothes, jewelry, glassware, linens, furniture. There are items you will want for yourself and wonderful gift opportunities as well. At the back of this space you will find ROC's, where delicious treats await!!! At this time they are serving soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts. They do have lite, continental breakfast options as well. This venue is so new that the kitchen is still being built. Once finished there are plans for a full menu and dinner hours. They have a large selection of decorations and it was a lot of fun. I took my 6 year old granddaughter and she had a blast. There is also a "Rhinestone Bar" where you can bling out whatever you want and a "Build Your Own Pen" section where you create your own pen. Lots of fun. They also do "At Home Parties. Prices are very reasonable and it keeps the kids busy fora while. Definitely recommend taking your girls to experience their crafty side!
