    Chicken Shawarma Over Rice
    Ruth G.

I ordered on ubereats and this was so bomb ! I ordered 2 samosas, 1 shringara, 1 order of chicken shawarma over rice. It was delicious but if you don't like spicy, don't order. The side orders were more spicy than the plate. Altogether it was $20 so in person it must be alittle cheaper. I also got a soda with it. 10/10, def recommend, very freaking tasty ! Lol

    4 Piece Halal Lamb Chops

I've been to Momo's several times for events and done plenty of take out. They have decent chicken kabobs, but I think their beef kabobs are too dry. I also recommend their salads! Packed with protein and extremely flavorful. I have to say the best thing on the menu isn't even on the menu. It's their lamb chops which are halal organic and cooked to perfection every time. These are the best lamb chops in the area. I've ordered them at least 20 times already. Just make sure you have the sauces with it. Not sure why it's not on the menu anywhere in the restaurant. Caution: the peppers are very hot!

    Falafel Salad

I had the falafel salad. The salad was crisp. The falafel was hot - crunchy on the outside with a delicate texture in the center. The service was great. I will definitely be back on my next trip to New York.

Went here cuz it's in my neighborhood & normally the food is good & fresh. Tonight I got some hard dried chicken with cold rice. I'm so disappointed. What a waste of $22.00. Could've gone somewhere else.

Chicken tikka with rice n salad $13.99 + tax 15 n some change

It was tasty food just the rice was oily a bit . Chicken tikka was cooked good big 8 pcs, my suggestion don't put dressing on the salad leave it for customers choice not everyone like Italian dressing and ranch on salad, and also try using bigger disposable plates because the food kept dropping of the plate. I know they want it to look a lot in smaller plates but it's already a lot . Price was ok $15 chicken tikka with rice and salad I had to take leftovers to eat later. Salad bar looked clean and fresh cuts no old lettuce or tomato

Chicken shawarma over rice w/ salad and buffalo wings(spicy)= less than $15

Bought the chicken tikka and beef kofta platter and it was amazing!! Perfectly seasoned meat and full of flavor, the bread was fresh and the sauces added the perfect touch *chef's kiss*

Is this place zabiha (hand-slaughtered) halal?

our previous supplier was zabiha halal for chicken and beef and we visited and inspected ourselves, the new one for chickens says so, but we have not physically verified, but for the beef we kept our old supplier, which we verified ourselves

I highly recommend getting an assortment of dips and small plates - 2-3 dishes per person was just right for us. I can't pick a favorite item of the evening: The Israeli Salad Hummus was some of the best/most flavorful hummus I've had, the Whipped Ricotta was perfect and so fluffy, and the Matbucha & Labne are also great additions to the table. They make a really good Falafel here, and the Crispy Cauliflower were perfectly crispy and well-sauced. The Chocolate Babka dessert is a great way to end your meal, and they do make a solid espresso martini for those wondering. The only thing I was not a fan of is their drink menu - all of the cocktails are spicy or smoky. Although you can sub out different alcohols, it would be nice to have a few other options.

We ordered a variety of humus to share with the table and some were better than others. Pricing was mixed, a little expensive for hummus but they did refill out pitas. We had drinks and each got a plate which some were enough for two while others were larger portions and shareable. We dug in and didn't have time for pics. It was good but a little pricier for what it was.

The flavors were so unique and not dishes you could just get anywhere. The star of the show was the branzino. The fish was SO crispy which was impressive considering the fish wasn't fried. The herbs and the lemon added wonderful flavor. There was not a literal crumb left from any of our dishes. We cannot wait to dine at Theodora again. Ironically, basically the only thing on the menu without a hidden seafood agenda were the oyster mushrooms. The service was quite attentive at least, well above average even for the price point. However, the drinks were hilariously small (I thought a cocktail at $20 was a decent deal, and then realized it was maybe 4oz of liquid in a lowball glass filled mostly with ice. When you…read morewalk in, you are immediately greeted by a giant oven baking fresh pita as well as an open kitchen. There is also an outdoor dining area, as well as a mid-sized dining room and we were seated near the window. Sawa serves Lebanese cuisine with some more modern dishes. Additionally, they have a mostly Lebanese wine list, which gave us an opportunity to try some new wines. We ordered both a red and a white for the table, and I was especially drawn to the red, as the red was served chilled, light-bodied, and very enjoyable. Nearly all of the reds and whites on the menu are from Lebanon, with just one red from Morocco, plus a couple sparkling options from Lebanon as well. We started with several dips for the table: hummus, baba ghannouj, and muhammara. The hummus was incredibly smooth, and the muhammara was especially flavorful with large pieces of walnut throughout. Everyone at the table receives fresh pita, and we ended up ordering a few more to share. We also shared the Brussels sprouts and the snap peas. The Brussels sprouts were rich and flavorful, but the snap peas really stood out. They were unlike anything I have tasted before, intensely mint, served with garlic mint labneh, and very delicious. For mains, we focused on lamb: two orders of the lamb ribs, two orders of the kafta, and two orders of the sfeeha. We probably over-ordered by about one entrée, but otherwise it was the right amount of food for six people. The lamb ribs were phenomenal, fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. The lamb pies were also very good and came with a delicious dipping sauce. The kafta was good, though not quite as memorable as the other lamb dishes, but still very satisfying. Service was attentive throughout the meal, and despite the number of dishes on the table, the staff handled everything smoothly. The table got a little crowded at times, but it was manageable. I would absolutely recommend Sawa, especially for anyone who enjoys trying something a little different. They do classic Lebanese dishes very well, while also offering some creative dishes that feel unique and memorable. I am already looking forward to going back.

I asked if there was any way to fix this, and right away, the hostess brought us to another table with a much better view of that magnificent manhattan skyline and river. Then the food. Omg the food. We each ordered our main, after which they bring out an enormous tray of all these lovely nibble salads, pickles, dips, and pita. I don't eat wheat, and haven't my entire life, so I usually don't say anything about it if it seems to me the place doesn't cater to that sort of restriction. The server noticed however, and offered sliced cucumbers for the dips. Such a lovely detail, brava. Did I mention how deeeeeeeelicious everything was? Hubby had the steak shishlika which was perfectly tender and charred at once. I had the chicken shishlika which was good, but not the wow of the steak. Each and every salad, dip, pickle etc was perfectly spiced, cooked, presented. The nuances were just right. Nothing too precious or sideways. Just honest, well built yummy food. And the fries. You MUST get the fries. We ordered the tahini ranch along with the tahini catsup. In my opinion, that wasn't necessary. But if you're a ranch lover, go for it. Then the dessert! Soft serve with a cherry reduction and some kind of flourless chocolate brownie... I don't need to say more. The service was excellent. The food delicious. The view was perfect, though no one celebrated the sun going down like I was told they do. We will go back, with four or more so we can finish all the food.
