This past December I went in to get a new ring for my daith piercing. But, about three weeks later, I noticed some of the gems in the ring fell out. I called them to ask if it would be possible to get a replacement. They said sure, once they got the old ring back. So, once they got it back and sent me a replacement, I had that put in, but they sent me the wrong size in the new ring. So I had to then send that ring back to exchange it for the correct size. And, after two weeks of wearing the new (correctly sized ring) the gems fell out of that ring too. After this time they made it pretty clear that they were done exchanging the ring for me and this piece of jewelry was "just going to do that." Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate their willingness to refund me in the first place, but considering that none of these exchanges were caused by me/my fault and they are the ones carrying poor-quality jewelry I do not think they were in a position to respond how they did. I would not recommend buying jewelry from them. It's not worth the money. read more

I'm giving 3 stars because while yes, they do piercings fine. Every single time I go in there I get nothing but attitude from the workers. I walk in, there's 5 girls behind the counter, all I get is stared at. So I say "hello" and all of them just scramble and try to find something else to do other than help me. Then I'm trying to ask a question and they act like they know soooo much more than me. Like I have done my research. I know a thing or 2 about piercings. They just treat you like you're the dumbest human on the planet and like they want nothing to do with you. I'm over it. I've been there 8 times to get piercings and each time I was treated with nothing but dis respect. Definitely gonna go somewhere else from now on. read more

By far the worst piercing experiences at this company. I've been to multiple of their locations and at all of them they have piercers that are no knowledgeable about what they are doing. Their companies standard for quality in jewelry is so bad all of my piercing done by them have become infected and i've had to get them repierced elsewhere. Always have a great experience at Silver Safari. The staff are so friendly and know what they are doing. I had to have my forward helix earring put back in after it fell out in my sleep. Two of these fantastic people worked so hard to get it back in. Finally got it back in but I felt a little ill because the hole had partially closed so it was rough. I had my eyebrow pierced here in 2016, and just recently brought our girls here to get their ears pierced for their birthdays. The staff is wonderful and the store is clean. My only issue is that when our eldest daughter had her ears pierced, she told them that they felt too tight in the back, and she was kind of dismissed. A couple of days later, she told me they hurt and they felt too tight - like, so tight, they couldn't heal. I gave her some squishy backings and that helped, but I wish they would have listened to her. I plan on getting a daith and a possible tragus piercing here soon. I'm hoping I will be listened to. read more

My only one issue is that when I got my nose pierced they had to put in this huge hoop for "swelling" or something which was totally fine, I just dont understand as your nose doesn't tend to swell very much. I went in for a septum piercing and asked for a small hoop that fit tightly around my nose. When they put the hoop in it was huge and I asked sarah my piercer if there was any smaller jewelry, she told me no and didn't offer to take it out or change it to a horseshoe or anything. I have had good experiences at Silver Safari previously, but I feel like they did not listen to my wishes at all and let me feeling really unhappy with the piercing I was excited to get. read more

Went here with my girlfriend and one of my friends to get me first ever piercing and it was a terrible experience to say the least. Had to wait about 30mins just to get inside and get signed in on the waiting list which they said was approximately 15mins, which turned into about 2 hours of standing and waiting with no place to sit. Once they finally called us to come and get pierced the lady that pierced us was most definitely not trained properly and did a terrible, very very painful job of piercing our noses. All 3 of us could not believe how extremely painful it was, especially since my girlfriend and my friend both have several other piercings that were not even close to as painful as these were. To make a long story shorter I do not recommend this place to anyone that wants to get a piercing done. read more

I am highly allergic to piercing jewelry and they assured me that they were going to sell and use high grade jewelry for me. They didn't and I got an infection. I tried to take an antibiotic and let it heal and keep it really clean. I had to take the earring out and it healed up right away. I got this for my migraines and it worked. Now they are back because I have no piercing. read more

I took my 9 month old in to get her ears pierced along with 2 other friends who were going to get their daughters' ears pierced. The gal that was helping us get set up & ready was fine, but all 3 of us noticed that her hands were insanely shaky. My daughter went first where there was a piercer on each side to knock it out at once & the one with the shaky hands shot the earring through my daughters ear way out of the spot that she had marked, then took a minute jiggling the gun away while it was hooked inside!!! She immediately said that my daughter jerked. 3 sets of eyes were on the baby when it happened and everyone said that it was not due to my baby that was held still by me. The other piercer put hers in flawlessly. I would assume if my daughter moved, that both sides would be off. Everyone did apologize and my friends requested a different piercer for their girls after watching that and I wish I had done the same. Fighting the mom guilt right now. If you're thinking about getting your young child's ears pierced, maybe ask for specific workers or go somewhere else that's more kiddo friendly. read more

I got my labret pierced about a month ago here, and the customer service here was excellent! Very sanitary and all my questions were answered with complete knowledge. Unfortunately, my piercing fell out while brushing my teeth, and I went there about 3 hours after it fell out, and it had already started to heal up, so I had to get it re-pierced, which was painful the second time around, but the first time it didn't hurt. I was only charged for the jewelery the second time, not for them having to re-pierce it. they have an awesome assortment of jewelery as well as pieces of unique art for sale. read more

BUYER BEWARE! absolutely every piece of jewelry I've bought from this place in the last 5 years has been low quality. septum clickers that stop shutting, become itchy as the underlying metals are exposed or just break after a few uses. CONSTANT JEWELS MISSING FROM PIECES AFTER LESS THAN A MONTH OF USE... I woke this morning to the elephant gauges I just put in my ears not even two weeks ago missing the elephant. Theyre metal and weren't cheap. I'm 30 years old and I'm not doing anything rough with my face. Never coming back. Got a triple daith($121) with studs (+$15) on a Tuesday when it supposed to be $10 off. I had 2 gift certificates worth $104 and was charged $156. If a triple daith is truly $121 which it should be regardless of whether or not a gift certificate is used my subtotal before tax should have been $126 ($10 off for coming in on Tuesday). I went back the next day to get this straightened out and was told I was basically wrong and that I was charged for each piercing individually because I had a gift certificate which is completely ridiculous and that they don't give the $10 discount on a triple daith because it's already so discounted. Where does it say this? No where! It says $10 off piercing on Tuesday! As for the actual piercing experience. I wouldn't even come back for that. I know a triple daith is one of the most painful but the piercer couldn't have pushed the needle through slower if she tried. First two went fine but the third she did crooked and pierced again, which is still crooked. It should sit flat with a shorter bar but who knows. My ear bled from the first screwed up hole for the rest of the day. It's not like this is my first piercing either. I've had 4 cartilage and one lip in the past. Never had a problem with the piercer pushing the needle through slowly or excessive bleeding. All I wanted was my $11 back but that's too much to ask. Perhaps in the future this business will make it explicitly clear what discounts apply to what and what is excluded. read more

Came in A few days ago and my experience was awful . My navel piercing was crooked and the gal piercing refused to fix it. She said it was fine for now because she had an appointment after me and was already running late. Maybe you should do things right the first time and you won't run into issues like this. There were no issues with infection and it healed up beautifully. Came in to get a new nose hoop for my piercing along with a 1/4 inch eyebrow bar because the last one I bought the pearl balls shattered after only two weeks and the girl working told me they didn't sell 1/4 inch barbells but you guys just had them last month so I was confused. Then she helped me put in my nose hoop and totally made it lose it's round shape AFTER she spent almost 20 minutes putting it in. I've had my nose pierced for 9 years. I have been shopping and getting pierced at Silver Safari for years and I love that place! Everyone has always been so helpful and I love all my piercings! In the customer service industry, it is impossible to please everyone which is evident in the other review. I'm not sure where that person got their information but Silver Safari is a VERY clean shop and all their piercers are certified and licensed. I also had a piercing fall out shortly after getting it pierced. I rushed in to the store and the employee working was great at helping me get my nose stud back in. She did have to use a taper to stretch it back open, which thankfully worked because I certainly didn't want to have it re pierced. I am assuming that's what happened with the other customers lip piercing and not that it was re pierced. Big difference! read more

This is the only place I've had my piercings done! To date, I've had my ear lobes, 3 cartilage, conch, tragus, double nose, and septum pierced! Staff is pretty friendly and helpful in answering questions about piercings and after care. I also really trust the sanitary conditions under which they pierce every person. Came in today around 5 to purchase a nose ring. There were a few other people in the store. Not realizing it was $10 off Tuesday I decided to go through with getting a second nose piercing! I figured since there were three other people in the store so would get in pretty quick. The lady told me wouldn't be pierced until 7! 2 hour wait?? I've seen the northtown location busier than they were and get me in quicker than that. I still decided to buy a nose ring. When I told her which one I wanted she asked to look at my nose in such a way that came off like as if I didn't know which size was a good fit for my nose? She dumped all the nose rings in the container into her HAND!!! (By the way this is a health and safety issue) Then she proceeded to ask if I wanted her to put it in for me I politely declined. As I went through the transaction she asked me again if I was sure I didn't want her to do it for me. I again told her that's fine. She bagged up my stuff and as I'm getting ready to leave she asked me again if I wanted her to put my nose ring in for me which at this point Based in her tone of voice and consistent questioning seemed to question my capabilities of putting my own nose ring in. He was also rude, and acted like he didn't have time to answer my questions, even though I was the only one in the store! SO I left!
