As you can see, the prescription is 120 mg, but the pill was for 1200 mg.

This vet nearly killed my dog. I brought my small short haired, miniature dachshund in for a skin infection, and they gave us a prescription for 120 Mg Primor, an antibiotic. The dog has been written this prescription before, but I did notice that the pills were much larger. About six hours after I gave him the first pill, he went into a seizure. Anyone who has ever seen a dog go into a seizure for the first time knows how terrifying and heartbreaking it is. Not only did it happen out of the blue, but it happened on a Sunday evening. Try finding an animal hospital on a Sunday night. I've taken a better look at the pill and it is a 1200 mg pill. They miss prescribed the animal. Now, since my dog has had a seizure, he is at risk of becoming permanently epileptic if another seizure happens for any reason. This is clearly an actionable legal mistake that I will be following up on. Stay away from these people. They are so unsafe and I am furious. As far as the vet who I'm writing this about, you'll be getting served in due time. See you in court. I have enclosed a picture of the pill that I was given. As you can see, the prescription was written for 120 mg, but the pill that was given to us was 1200 mg. The side effect for this medication is seizures. And they over prescribed our dog by 10x. This is not simply a mistake. This is malpractice.

Patty the "full service" pet groomer is wonderful! I am fostering a cat for the Cat Network who, because of PTSD from abuse, can be reactive to sudden, unexpected issues. He is a domestic long-hair with a solid coat of mats on his underside. There was no way I could get those out myself. I had found out about a pet hospital in St Charles MO that offered sedated grooming. They were pretty expensive as well as being a long, stressful drive for him. I knew Mon-Clair offered grooming & gave them a call to ask if they would sedate him. Yes! They could do sedated grooming on Merlin. His appointment was a week ago. He and I are SO pleased with the outcome! The grooming included claw clipping & ear cleaning. She offered teeth brushing for an extra $8, since he would already be sedated. Of course, I took her up on that. With everything I had been quoted when I made the appointment, I thought it would be around $200. It came out to $164 & some change. Woo-hoooo! Merlin is a MUCH happier cat. AND! the icing on the cake? Dr Harres actually called & let me know how everything went. What a pleasant surprise! I haven't talked to a vet at my usual clinic in 15 years. I may be switching all my cats over to Mon-Clair. One note -- I've never had a cat groomed before, so I didn't realize that they spray them with perfume. If that's something you don't care for, be sure to let her know when you take your cat in. Other than that, it was an amazing experience for both me & Merlin. (By the way, Merlin is available for adoption.)

    Minnie loves Mon Clair

We've been taking our little rescue Minnie to Mon Clair for 3 years now. They are always caring and quick to be friendly to her, she had to greet all the techs like "her" people, not at all afraid of them. Didn't even mind the shots! Never add extras or unnecessary exams totally honest. Prices are reasonable and appointments easy.

My dog Ragnar who the visits were for.

We checked out Kritter Kare's Howliday Inn and a few other places near us on a Tuesday and the dogs had to be boarded starting Wednesday. We choose to use the Howliday Inn and I'm glad we did. The facility is clean, modern and welcoming. The 3 staff members we interacted with with were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. There is a large inside common area for the doggy day care and at least 3 outside play yards. I was shown two boarding areas and we were able to keep our 3 dogs together in one area which really seemed to help with any anxiousness they had about the new and unexpected situation. They were super accommodating to our needs of a very early drop off and a very late pick up due to the last-minute out of town travel. They communicated with me after the drop-off, providing updates and even pics on how the dogs were doing. The rates were fair/comparable and communicated up-front . The short story is the dogs were well taken care of and seemed to have a good time. I certainly recommend this business and will use it again if we need to board any or all of our dogs again. BTW - they also offer day sitting/playtime and additional services that can be performed while your dog is boarded such as grooming and nail care. Thanks to Jen and her staff for helping out in a hectic time and we're so happy that everything worked out great for the dogs.

I'm not one to leave reviews, ever, but our first kenneling experience has left us never wanting to…read morekennel our dog ever again. It started on Friday, June 19th, when I dropped my 8 month old Husky-German Shepherd off. I waited in my car and watch as he trained another husky. When I entered the building Zach said "Sorry about that. Huskies are fine until they don't listen, then I'm just an asshole." Red flag one, which should have made me turn around and leave. Furthermore: I left instructions online for medication and food administration and in person we verbally talked about it. All he had to do was give 1 pill. That's all. We decided to leave our trip early and come home late Saturday night, the next day. We asked if my mom could pick her up at 8 pm, the response was no. So we asked when the earliest we could get her Sunday was, which was 10 am. We thought that's fine, we will get there right at 10. When we got there at 10 on Sunday morning she was happy to see us, of course! We asked how she was and he said good. He then proceeded to say, when she got out of the kennel this morning she had peed as he let her out, so I apologized if she smelled. Thinking to myself, well that's okay she wasn't in it or anything so she can't smell that bad. He said he sprayed his "magical spray" on her to make her smell better and kill bacteria. He asked if she smelled but it's hard to tell when you're in a dog kennel that smells like dog regardless. We asked how play time on Saturday went and his response was "It didn't happen because my mom decided Father's Day was that day". So we grab her bag and leave and we get in the truck and are isolated from the dog smell and all we smell is urine. We had to immediately take her home and give her a bath because she smelled horrible. Her whole body- tail, TOP of her head, collar (which i washed friday- so I know it was clean), belly, back, literally everything!! So there is no way she just happened to be right then So as we drove home, I opened her bag and low and behold there was her medication pill I had asked to be given. One pill. How hard can it be? So in the 40 hours our dog was kenneled, after a fresh bath beforehand: she came home smelling like urine requiring two baths, not been given her medication, and what sounds like minimal contact or socialization all weekend. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

It was a pleasant surprise to come home to a "welcome home" setup, complete with report cards on how the kids did, and a super thoughtful touch was her asking for a touch base to make sure we got home as planned and the pets didn't need any additional checks. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to one of our fur babies last week, and after her drop-in, she left a sympathy card for us with the sweetest note. I never would've expected that and it was so touching. If you love your pets do not take them to Animal Hospital of O'Fallon…read more Putting aside for a moment that the inside of the place is cold, hard, and shabby like an Eastern Bloc morgue, the vet techs cannot complete simple tasks like reading the location of a clinic printed on a past vet record. Apparently, differentiating between "Illinois" and "South Carolina" is not something they teach at vet tech school. But if they can't get basic literacy right, then what else are they screwing up? I wanted to understand what was going on because my cats can't speak for themselves and it's my duty to protect them. Then out of nowhere, the veterinarian, Dr. Schilling, accused me of "insulting" the vet tech. This is a lie, one that goes to the very heart of Dr. Schilling's character (or lack thereof). But even before that, speaking with Dr. Schilling was frustrating because she does not converse like a medical professional or even an adult. If concern for my pets makes me a bad man -- if concern for my pets makes me "insulting" -- then I'm guilty as charged. But I suspect everyone reading this review is guilty of the same. I rounded up my little guys and immediately got them out of that dark and sad little place, away from these insane and unprofessional people. As other reviewers have noted, it's important to keep in mind they'll take your money long before they see your pets. I understand why now.
