Courtney is a cat whispering angel. She is a veteran with a dog and cat business in her home. I…read moreknow this is long, but Please, please read on. She needs to be recognized for her kindness and patients with animals and people. If you know me, you know I do not post on ANY social media and usually don't even get on them. I will start with my beautiful, sweet but hell on wheels cat, Cinders. She is a 16 yo Seal Pointe with a beautiful coat that is very fine, silky, floats the in the air, and of course mats very easily. Over the years we have moved several times. She has been groomed professionally twice. She has been kicked out of multiple groomers. One town we had to take her to the vet and they had to surgically sedated her just to shave and groom her, had to do that every year for 5 years to prevent horrible matting. Which of course if very unhealthy (and unnecessary). We have lived here now for 5 years, the vet here refused to sedate her, which is actually good. When I take her to the vet for anything, they aske me to medicate her, and if she is out of it enough they will shave her mats, but nothing else. When they came out with those tube cat treats, I had I genius idea to freeze them to groom her. I can groom her with my husbands feeding for about 10 minutes. Got her acclimated to the shaver, but she absolutely will not let me touch her legs, tail, or stomach, which are the most prone to mats. Desperate, I searched for hours on line, no one does cats and the only ones I could find are the ones we have already been banned from. Then I saw Gentle Paws, and booked appointment on line. She texted me later to thank me for booking and wanted to have more info about Cinders. I have NEVER had that happen. I was completely honest with just to make sure she would actually still see her. Then Courtney asked me to not medicate her. Are you kidding, this will be short and horrible!! very fine, silky, floats the in the air, and of course mats very easily. Arrived at the appointment, she met me at my car, carried her inside for me, and invited me to stay. The grooming area was immaculate, with state of the art equipment I have never seen. She showed me around and told that she had blocked any other appointments so they could get to know each other. We visited for about 30 minutes, Cinders accumulated to her and her voice. No one has EVER done any of those things with any grooming! I told her that my priority was Cinders comfort, and just do whatever she could. She sent me pics and texts to keep me updated. Told me Cinders was done and that she had trimmed her nails, gave her a lion cut, bath and dried. I almost passed out from the shock. I know this is long but I feel anyone that is kind and caring in this society of not caring and even cruelty, should be lifted up and praised. She would like to specialize in just cats, but she rarely gets any cat appointments. Even if you don't get your cat groomed, maybe just book a nail trim or something to help her business. PLEASE, PLEASE help me to lift her up and get this to go viral. Sorry for the book, but I think this amazing woman deserves it. Before, during and after photos. Cinders went outside expecting her usual treat on table, but she had 3 tubes during grooming, so no more for a few days. She then started grooming herself, of course. She is shaved so short because of the mats being on the skin, and to prevent her from getting any more mats for longer. Before you comment, She only let outside with supervision, and grooming. So I hear great things about the day care, but what about the grooming?…read moreIs the grooming a reasonable price? I dropped my dog off today. It took them 2 hrs and 30min to bath my dog. I was getting really nervous cause it usually doesn't take them that long. Finally they called me to pick him up. When I got there It took them 20min to bring my dog out from the back. when they brought out my dog. they cut him and said it was a itty bitty scratch. when I got home and looked at it. It was this big GASH!!! very DISAPPOINTED!! My dog is only 2Ibs and 11 months old. I WILL NOT BE COMING HERE AGAIN!!! They still made me pay for the big gash that they did to my dog. I'm honestly so frustrated that this happened!!!

Would I start my dog-boarding experience here? Probably…read more Knowing what I know now, would I stick with it? Absolutely not. And that's an honest shame. I have sincerely loved shopping at and getting Hank groomed at Whisker Bones' home store for the last year. The staff is incredible, the treats are fantastic, and Hank's grooming has been so perfect! I really hoped the boarding facility would live up to the parent company reputation, but I was sadly so mistaken. We took our dog (a golden retriever puppy who lives up to every stereotype of such) to the mandatory screening/interview session to see if he could be permitted to attend daycare or boarding- standard practice, good idea, I totally agree with the concept. However, the assessor (I don't know his name, but he's a young man with a nose ring) brought in two very aggressive dogs who upset mine. My husband had to pull the "host dog" off of ours on two separate occasions because it got way to aggressive and dangerous. The host dog growled and barked, bore his teeth, and actually jumped all over our dog- twice! The assessor also said the host dog had earned the nick name of "the controller" since he apparently didn't like other dogs and felt the need to control them. Then, the assessor "evaluated" our dog on a scale of green light (passable), yellow light (cautionary, should not board), and red light (no day care, no boarding, beware), and considered our dog "yellow light" due to his "aggressive behavior." When in reality, the host dogs were so aggressive that hey had earned nick names for themselves as such, and my husband had to physically pull the host dog off of ours. It was truly such a heart breaking experience. I cried on the way home because I was so upset about the treatment of our dog. I'm sincerely disappointed, and I hate to give negative feedback, but I feel like it's very important that I share this experience. Club WB might be too new to see their weaknesses, but I would start with the assessor and the dogs he chooses to mingle with incoming pups to get a real pulse for it all. Today's experience was an actual true shame.
