They keep your child safe so you don't have to worry about their well-being and they make sure every student thrives. You have peace of mind while you're working or busy throughout the day. And you know your child is getting lots of attention because the class sizes aren't as big as some others that have up to 18 kids or more in one classroom. The best part was, it was very affordable ($895/mo), especially for the North Dallas area. On his first day, I had to come back up to the center mid-day with his tuition check. I walked in to a low lit, quiet day care. The entire center was quiet - everyone was down for a nap. My baby, who had not slept over 4 hours or even in a crib yet, was asleep in a crib, on his back, in a sleep sack. From that day on, he's slept in his crib and slept through the night. They were able to put him on a schedule when I was not able to. My son has been at Ivy since he was 7 weeks old. He's now 7 months old. We have even moved to another area - but I still drive him to Ivy every single day. He is thriving, and has a team of teachers there who love him. She told me to give Anna time and that she will come around. When I went to pick her at the end of the day, my daughter was alone with Anna and she was crying a lot. The excuse that was given to me was that my just woke up from her nap. My daughter doesn't cry when she wakes up from nap and especially not the way she was crying. After returning home, I noticed 3 bright red marking on her legs. It was not from any toy. They looked like pinched marks and I believe it was a retaliation towards my daughter. I informed Rumya about this tue following. Now when requested for refund of deposit and remaining days a month before, I was told that I have to wait for the owner to be back in the country. I want all parents to know that if you see any marking on your child, report the daycare. Staff is nice before you encounter a real issue and then everything goes downhill. Why don't you come take a tour?" We scheduled one for that following Friday. We were toured by Soni (sp?) and it became clear that this would be a problem. She only talked about the gifted kids in the school and, when prompted to talk about the average kids, she shrugged and said, "We deal with them." We met the 4 year old class, all sitting quietly and coloring, while the teacher looked on. We were introduced as the parents of our son, "Who has special needs, so I don't know what to say to you." What does that even mean? My son was quiet and polite, if not a little shy, the whole tour. We left with the feeling that this wouldn't be a good fit. 5 days later, we received a voicemail from the supervisor saying, "We don't have the teachers to handle him or any openings." What happened to "this wouldn't be a problem"? What happened to the openings? It's as if, by some neuro divergent prejudice, our son magically became a problem. Do not send your kids here unless they are "perfect".
