I am very disappointed with my experience with this school. I do have a couple of other friends who…read morehave a total of four different children here, their experiences were much more pleasant than mine. As in any school or establishment individual experience is going to be different, depending upon the teacher in classroom in with your child is placed. I picked my child up today only to hear her screaming at him through the door. I arrived early to pick him up. As I approached the classroom door I heard her yelling at him to go to sleep calling him a baby and telling him he needs to go to the baby room since he won't sleep. My son was crying telling her he didn't want to go to the baby room saying "I'm a big boy". This was not a stern or firm teacher voice, this was screaming and berating my son in front of his classmates during their nap time. My son should not have had to go through that, the other children in the class should not have had to hear that. As a former teacher myself this is NO WAY in which to speak to a child, especially for not napping. This "teacher" does not deserve the title and should not be working with children. Once she came to the door, her tone completely changed, she became extremely soft spoken and sweet. The hypocrisy was ridiculous. I mentioned the experience to the front staff as the director of the school was not there. They apologized.

If you read the one-star reviews, you'll notice a common theme: poor treatment of children. As…read moreparents, we diligently research daycares and carefully place our children at a childcare facility where we think that they will be loved and cared for. As such, I decided to write about my child's experience because I would never want any parent to experience the pain and frustration that my husband and I experienced. Our child attended Pinnacle Montessori of Frisco from three months old until our child was 16 months. The month before we withdrew our child, we expressed our concerns to the director regarding whether they were communicating our child's medical information to every person who cared for our child, as well as our frustration regarding the fact that, for two days in a row, two different jackets were unable to be located when we picked up our child. After this complaint, our child started receiving negative behavior comments frequently. To put things into context, our child received their first negative report ever on the same day that we notified the teacher of the missing jacket (i.e., the day before our complaint). Thereafter, our child typically received several negative reports each WEEK. Our child was 15 months old at the time. We met with our child's primary teacher to discuss our concerns regarding the frequency and the nature of the negative reports. We were told that the reports weren't meant to suggest that our child was doing something bad, they were more so to let parents know how their child's day went. A few days after this meeting, the director stopped me on my way out the door after dropping my child off and informed me that if my 15-month-old child continued to receive negative reports for the next three months, then maybe my child is communicating that Montessori is not for them. I took this as a thinly-veiled threat to kick my 15-month-old child out based on frequent "negative" reports that coincidentally started occurring after my complaint. Of course, this direct contradiction regarding the intention behind the reports resulted in us having a meeting with the director and the teacher. At the meeting, the director informed my husband and me that we were "too sensitive" and that she had no reason to have a problem with our child because we pay on time each month, and the teachers have never had a problem with us. This was jarring to us because no childcare facility should differ the level of care and treatment that they provide to a child based upon the child's parents' ability to pay on time. After this meeting, things went from bad to worse. Our child came home with a diaper rash that was so severe that it required a medical prescription and for our child to stay home an entire week. We sent our child to this facility for only three more days after the diaper rash healed. On the third day, our child was sent home without a shirt on. When we asked the front desk why our child's shirt was not on our child's body, they informed us that our child spilled water on the shirt, and they didn't have a backup shirt. They did not even bother to notify us to let us know our child needed a shirt. Had they cared enough for our child to notify us, we could have immediately resolved the issue that day. Needless to say, that was our child's last day. I hope any parent of a prospective attendee finds my review helpful. For any parent whose child still attends this facility, you may want to pay close attention to how your child is being treated, especially if (i) you don't pay on time or (ii) you have ever complained to the staff/director.

It's not a daycare,…read moreit's a place your child will learn to be independent and confident in themself as an individual. We started at 11.5 months (tried nanny and a couple other schools before) and after 2 months she is walking into the school on her own, uses utensils, loves to listen to books being read to her, participates in class activists, and is a lot better at handling her emotions. This was the only school that was willing to accommodate my early potty training, and continue to work with her on it!The teacher to student ratios are better than i have ever seen and they ACTUALLY stick to them. (I never understood how a 5:1 ratio for infants is possible. 0-17 month group is 3:1 here) Every time I go to drop her off, I feel great about having my daughter attend the school. Teachers are so patient and loving!! I love all of them. The head of the school Brandy is amazing at communicating and makes everything easy. I drive 1.5 hours some days to get to work so I can keep her in this school.

My son was enrolled in Guidepost Flower Mound's Spanish Immersion program for 18 months, and we rarely went more than a month without a major change or staff turnover. We stayed as long as we did because the Guides caring for our son were excellent, but they have all since left the school. Over time, it became apparent that there were significant issues behind the scenes. The atmosphere among staff often felt tense, and the administration was not transparent with families about changes affecting the school. Important decisions were typically communicated only after they had already been made. We ultimately decided to withdraw when the school announced the closure of the Spanish Immersion program. The announcement was sent to parents on a Friday evening and gave just two weeks' notice that children would be separated into existing classes. It offered only vague suggestions about future Spanish language instruction. There was no attempt to consult with parents beforehand, despite administrators stating the program had been under review for months. Attempts to seek clarification afterward were met with vague responses rather than clear answers. The final disappointment has been the handling of our deposit. In March, both the Head of School and administrators at TNC Schools confirmed in writing that our deposit would be returned. Several months later, we are still waiting. There has been no communication since March and no explanation for the delay. It is difficult to understand why a commitment made clearly and explicitly in writing has not been honored. Having toured many Montessori schools in the area, my impression is that Guidepost is priced as a premium option for local families. While every family must decide for themselves whether that cost is justified, our experience of constant staff turnover, program instability, poor communication, lack of transparency, and the school's failure to follow through on its written commitment to return our deposit did not reflect the level of professionalism and stability we expected. For those reasons, I cannot recommend the school to other families.

So I wonder if my review will be taken down because it's positive. We have been with Wonderland for one year and we want to continue to be with them but my oldest is going to an elementary school that is on the opposite direction, so now I have to take my little one out of Wonderland. It was such a hard decision because they are so awesome and accommodating. You won't go wrong with this school. Each teacher has a heart of gold. They see each child like their own. Both of my children love coming to the school. They feel safe and cared for. I recommend taking your child to the school and see if they truly fit with the atmosphere. They do follow the Montessori style in which they respect a child's choices in learning. My daughter started reading at two years old. By the time she was four years old, she was able to read a Dr. Seuss's book on her own. This is because of Montessori style embraces children's development at each stage. Each child is different in their speed and interest. This school help harness their talents and geared them to practical learning that helps incorporate the foundations of how to learn and how to think while building their self confidence and self motivation. We love all the teachers here. They all work in unison. Safety is their top priority thus giving an environment that will propel a child's curiosity which will mold them into a responsible life learner. I could write a long excerpt of how good this place is, but again you have to drop by and allow your child to choose and see if it is a best fit. Again, you won't go wrong here. We will sorely miss this place. We will highly recommend this school.

Our son is absolutely thriving in the Toddler classroom, and his Guides are nothing short of incredible. The care, structure, and genuine love the staff shows every day have made such a difference, not only for our son, but for our whole family. If I could give 100 stars, I would. This is hands down the best school around, and I'm so excited to watch our son continue to grow and thrive here. We are so thankful to be part of the Wonderland community!

If you want your child to grow up exposed to diversity, independence, responsibility and community, these people have done just that for us so far! They are professionals in a field I believe is severely undervalued.
