The amenities are the star of the show. Massage chairs, leg compression therapy, two terrains, an outdoor area, a cryo lounge, and even a full movie theater with cardio equipment. Plus, there's a pool and sauna! I'm probably missing a few things, but you get the idea. Theres a ton here that other gyms simply don't have (including kid care and supplements). I don't mind crowded gyms or asking to work in when I need a machine, but if you're not into that, I'd recommend coming really early on weekdays or any time on weekends (it's surprisingly empty then). I'm on a 4-person family plan- about $90 total- and we each get our own membership with guest access. The staff is friendly and easygoing with guests, though a heads-up: tripods aren't allowed if you're into recording your workouts. Overall, I always enjoy my workouts here, especially around 6:30 AM or sometimes 2 PM depending on my schedule. And honestly, don't be afraid to make friends! Most people are super nice if you just ask how many sets they have left or if you can work in on a busy leg day.

Each and every time I visit Thayer's gym, I feel the 'hurt so bad, but oh so good' for at least 3 days! What I appreciate about Thayer is the fact that he takes his time to explain all workouts prior to the rounds and he walks around assisting people and ensuring that we're doing the workouts correctly in order to prevent injury. He's there with us every step of the way. The workouts are well-timed and at a great pace. It's a family environment there.
