This place is a rip-off, their customer service is terrible, the Asian lady that was behind the counter is disrespectful, & if there's a problem, the manager will hide in the back while she liesto you & tells you that the manager is not there. . I hope i can figure out how to upload pictures on this review. So I can upload my receipt which shows me being charged for $44 more than what the shelf price clearly says. I tried to buy a bottle of Hennessy XO here, because Hennessy actually had employees at Columbus Circle engraving people's unopened XO bottles for FREE. So I wanted to do that for a gift. I walk in the store, see Hennessy XO on the shelf with a pink tag reading "155.99+tax" in black marker. Sounded good to me. "Can I have a bottle of your Hennessy XO, please?" No problems yet, a young Asian man gets it for me. Starts to ring me up, but he's selling me just the bottle... no box. I'm thinking most liquor stores I've been too, usually have the box for XO (if they have XO). Plus it's a gift so I want the box. So I ask, "you don't have the box for it?" He's like "uhhh.... I don't think so. Let me check." Finds some dusty box, wipes kt down with his hand, & rings me up for $199.99+tax talking about "if you want the box, new price.. it's $199.99." So I'm like "what?!? Why??" Here's comes the lady laughing & smiling "oh I don't know." With that it's$217.74 so I ask for a compromise... "can I just get it for $200 even at least, because your sign says "$155.99." But of course the lady tells me "noo... the boss not here. Manager not here." I'm upset but I NEED this gift with the engraving for a special occassion. So I buy it, & head over to Columbus Circle to meet with the Hennessy Team that's there engraving the bottles. I tell them my story, & they all get FURIOUS telling me that that was wrong & "not right." One of the girls tried to call the liquor store right there on the spot in front of me & the young Asian man hung up on her after she addressed him about the fact that the price should be the same because the bottle of Hennessy XO is SUPPOSED to come with the box. This is not regular Hennessy VS... Hennessy XO is SUPPOSED to be sold in the box at NO extra charge. They advised me to go back to the liquor store & ask for my money that they overcharged me for, ask to speak to the manager or inform them that I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I go back, but of course again hours later "the manager not here." I told the woman if they don't sell it to me for the price on the shelf I would report them & Hennessy told me they could actually get shut down for this. Now all of a sudden she has to go speak to someone in the back. I wonder who that could be (sarcasm). They offered me a full refund. I don't want the refund, #1 the Hennessy just engraved this for me, #2 I just want the $44 that you OVERCHARGED me. I don't want the full $217.74 back. She said "no." I said "but what you're doing is illegal, that's false advertisement. You really want me to report you for $44??" She said "Yea, yea... go," while 'shoo'ing me away with her hand. I'm like "Ms. you can get shut down over this, really??" She said "Yea, yea, yea I know." Shoo'ed me away with her hand again & said "go." Smh. $44 for a box. I knew it was crazy but I needed the gift. But after speaking to Hennessy personnel I had to go back & try to follow through with something. I reported them for False Advertisement to FTC & the BBB. Hopefully something gets accomplished by this. Falsely advertising prices & jerking people like that isn't cool. Smh read more
