I wish I met Rich and his team years ago for my prior projects and I would've not been taken for tens of thousands of dollars leaving me with open permits, lies, and terrible work. From day one, Rich was upfront about timing and costs. We lived in the home during the renovation, and I always knew who would be there and when. The worksite was cleaned daily, which made a huge difference and showed real care and respect for our space. He also provided a clear list of decisions we needed to make to keep everything on track and on budget. Rich was always honest about costs and timelines when we discussed ideas, and I really appreciated his transparency. The quality of work was outstanding--everyone who came through our door was clearly top-notch, and Rich was always happy to answer my many questions. This was a major project, including removing load-bearing walls and installing steel beams, but Rich runs a tight ship and kept steady progress throughout. The project finished on time, and we're beyond happy with the results. We loved working with him so much that we decided to continue on to the upstairs instead of taking a break. Recently remodeled a two bedroom Condo at North end. The workers Kept things clean and were very proud of their work , Took a little longer than expected, but that's usually the case with construction work. End result is beautiful . Had a few things months after that needed fixing and it was no problem to get them out there to fix it. Price seemed a little high on some things but they did an excellent job. Versus taking the low price and having to chase down the workers the whole time. Would recommend them and use them again

They offered a very quick timeline to start work (that same week), and were light years above the competition in customer service, so they were an easy choice of contractors to hire. Working with Eastco Contracting was a great experience from beginning to end. They were exceptionally courteous and quick to respond to any question or request throughout all phases of the project. They offer a military discount on top of their already affordable estimates, and just because they will deliver an estimate to your project below the competition doesn't mean the work will suffer. The final product was a masterpiece down to every detail. Their lead contractor, Marlon, takes true pride in his work and will not call the job finished until you are 100% happy with the work. As far as the previous review of poor quality, I disagree. The craftsmanship is great and exceeds expectations, and if there are any issues they are quick to come out and fix to your satisfaction. The materials are whatever you pick; they give you, the customer, the choice in every material from cabinets, to floors, to grout, to the hardware, and everything in between. I cannot recommend EastCo Contractors enough for any job, big or small.

The contractor placed the wall beams such that the windows can no longer be opened. I now have an office with windows that cannot be opened or cleaned properly. The contractor also left the interior window frames an incomplete mess. Never again.

I had a small major project to be done, a face lift for my fireplace, and i couldn't find a contractor who would "put it in writing before you start". Not only did I get it in writing with a very fair price but I got excellent service from his electrician, electrician's helper and Tom his tile guy. Unlike other contractors, John was able to do this without touching the drywall. The wiring for the cable line and electrical connection were done from outside, way cool to watch. The professionalism John brings and his 'guy next door' friendliness were uplifting. I have found my contractor for as long as I live in VA Beach. See pics and his web site. A year later we had John come back to do a total remodel of the master bath. Outstanding work ethics and a beautiful job. Love it.

Absolute frustration…read more John is very friendly and thorough. If you can get him. A few years ago he converted by garage into a bedroom and did fantastic work. If that were my only experience with him this would be a five star review. He did a great enough job that he became my preferred go-to guy. Since then I've tried several times to hire him for smaller projects ranging from a siding/duplex connector rebuild job to a ceiling leveling job to a general refreshing job (including replacing all the doors in the house, fixing a window with a broken sill, and minor bathroom upgrade of the toilet and vanity) and I can't even get a quote much less the work done. Truly a shame because my first experience with him was great but I guess he's just gotten too busy for small projects.
