Before signing the contract to work in our foundation, we asked if we need to do anything on our kitchen floor once the work is done. Ian Pernell confirmed that we will not have any problems with our floors once they finished the job. I paid over $20K and a few days after they worked in our crawlspace, we noticed the floor is noisy and squeaky when you walk over it. Not only that the soft spot is still there, it is much worse than my original complaint. I tired several times to contact Mr. Pernell, even visited JES office but now, he is just making a run around, not responding to my voicemail and text messages. JES or Groundworks, is very incompetent, they have no customer service, very unreliable and produces very unsatisfactory job. My big mistake was I gave them a 5-star review the moment they walked out the door. I should have waited a few days/weeks. I highly recommend that you do NOT USE the services of JES Foundation or Groundworks (same company) for any of your foundation issues. Be warned or you will highly regret it!

Only to find that about 3 months after the job was finished I began see moisture that concerned me. After hiring a plumber he found some most distressing information. The company had sealed an enormous amount of rot under my shower. I connected VFS and they informed me that wasn't part of their contract and their men didn't see it. I find that extremely hard to believe because the pictured that were taken are inches away from where they were working installing. the plastic for the encapsulation. If nothing else they should have been concerned for our safety. The plumber said if it had gone unnoticed for much longer someone would have fallen through the floor. VFS claim they are concerned about the integrity of our homes. Well in my case that did hold true. I was giving the run around by a number of people ending with Rob. I requested a meeting with the representatives from the company so I was talking to more than one person (and yes I was crying and upset- wouldn't you be after spending $45,000.00)I was told they would not meet with me. I told I would come to Viking Drive and I was told I would NOT be allowed in the building. All of this I find very disturbing.
