In a day and age where it's nearly impossible to find customer service or value in a meal, I found both today at Mona's Rose of Sharon. We were driving through and placed a to go order and talked with the nicest, most helpful young lady that Ive encountered in quite some time. She led us through the menu and talked us into a few fried pies as well. I settled on the Bubba Burger basket with fries which was a huge double hand made burger with lettuce tomatoes onion and mustard. My wife got the Fmous burger basket with onion rings. We found our way to the restaurant, that is a bit off the interstate but easy enough to find. We each got a fried pie and our total was around $35 including the tip. Not bad at all in this day and age, especially for really good food, which is what we got. My burger was one of the best I've had in years and will replace one of my top 10 on my burger list. It was frankly near perfect. My wife said hers was equally good and we loved the fries and onion rings. The fried pies were good as well. I've had better pies but they were damn good. I will make sure this is my stop every time I'm in Henryetta. I'm just thankful I don't live there because I'd be tempted daily by these delicious burgers. read more

We ate here today but will not return. I ordered their Indian taco and dessert special. The hamburger for the taco was burned and the small piece of yellow cake with brown and pink frosting was a joke. My husband had a cheeseburger and fries. The fries also were overcooked and most were left in the basket. The server did her best to be pleasant. The booth seats were "repaired" with orange duct tape on them. I can appreciate a tasteful amount of uplifting quotes and religious passages in a place of business, but the owners took it to an extreme. Virtually on every wall--even in the bathroom--was another scripture or some religious advice. Too much is just too much. read more

Small town, friendly service, comfort food diner. Recognized for having the "Best Hamburger in Henryetta." I can't comment on the hamburger other than the ones I saw on another diner's table. They looked old school fantastic. We had the catfish basket and the Mona's Chicken basket. There were generous portions in each meal and unquestionably freshly made. The baskets come with one side option. Mona's has a lot to choose from. My wife had the okra and an extra side of Mac and Cheese with her basket. I had the house made onion rings. I didn't care for the Mona's Chicken. Instead of strips of chicken breast, it was small bite sized chunks. It was just too much breading. After a few bites I ordered a side of cream gravy for dipping. That improved the meal. The catfish had a nice crust, moist inside, but the flavor was a little off. Okra, mac and cheese, average. Hushpuppies excellent. And then there were the Onion Rings. These were excellent. Large fresh, wide rings of sweet onion lightly battered, then fried to perfection. Crispy crunchy on the outside and crisp fresh onion on the inside. Onion rings are mandatory with any meal here. Probably the perfect meal here is the Burger and the Rings. But there's more. Fried pies filled with fruits that represent most of the colors in a rainbow. I couldn't pass them up for tomorrow's breakfast. Peach, Apple, Cherry and Apricot all went home with us. Great with this morning's cup of coffee. I bet they are even better when served hot and fresh in the diner. read more

If you want that welcoming, hometown, friendly feeling when you walk into a small town cafe, this is the place. We were out antiquing near lunchtime when my partner spotted this little gem and we were both happy we chose to stop! We had no trouble parking and when we walked in we were immediately greeted by a friendly, gregarious server that got our drink orders when we were settled and then asked for our food order after giving us enough time to review the menu. Our server answered the questions we had about a few items and then recommended the chicken fried steak...yum! My partner had the chicken fried steak meal and I had the chicken fried steak (CFS) sandwich with fries. The fries were hand cut and the CFS was hand breaded with a wonderfully seasoned coating that was nice and crispy without a hint of grease. To top everything off, the portions were Very generous! With the friendly staff, great service, delicious food, and very reasonable prices, we will definitely be back! read more

Do not drive by this local restaurant. The neighborhood is industrial and you may be turned away by appearances. Stop, you will be glad you did. Their old fashioned cheeseburgers are great with mounds hand cut fries or their fantastic twice breaded gigantic onion rings. We were driving through Henryetta and saw the Yelp reviews for best burgers and we had to try one. We will make the drive again and take friends. Even if the food were not great our waiter Jack would have made the stop worth while. Jack is a real treat and fun to converse with. read more

The waitress tells you it will be a wait that they only have one cook, one grill, the hamburger steak had no seasoning, the brown beans needed salt, the cabbage was overcooked and I not sure how to describe the cornbread. Was in Henryetta, OK today and stopped at this restaurant and ordered their daily special which was baked chicken (breast & thigh), home made mashed potatoes & gravy, french cut green beans with bacon & buttered toast. The chicken was very flavorful and my favorite was the thigh. The breast was a tad dry but still good. The mashed potatoes & gravy were delicious as well as the green beans and toast. Overall I was satisfied. My sister ordered the big mouth burger and it was big, good and juicy. She had to cut it with a knife to eat it. She said it would have been amazing if they had steamed or toasted the bun. The café has that nice small town locals vibe and the service was good and friendly. It was a nice day away from the city and nice place for lunch. read more

So glad we trusted the reviews of this place! We could have stopped in the main part of town at some of the other restaurants, but this family-owned place was worth it! Don't let the spray-painted welcome sign out front fool you! Inside is very clean and comfortable. The food blew us away! My wife and I took her Grandmother to lunch for Memorial Day weekend, we arrived shortly after 1pm and just after 2pm they started bringing out our food, and the restaurant was not very busy at all. My wife and I got the Buddy Burger Basket, and ours was first to come out, and all Grandma got was a single biscuit and gravy, and a hashbrown. No reason for it to take over an hour to cook these items. After they brought our food, the table next to us, who were here way before us and actually got their food 10 minutes into our visit, asked where the rest of their food was for their other 2 friends, and the waitress replied that she didnt "like the way the food looked" so she had it redone. I'm not sure who actually owns this place, who's in charge, etc, but your staff is awful. A girl who looks maybe 13 took our order, so who knows how many child labor laws they're breaking too. Dont waste your time coming here, it'll be a shorter wait to raise your own calf and make it into a burger yourself. read more
