All the $18 drinks come in plastic cups, I know this is at a pool but most pool clubs still use glassware/nice glasses at other hotels in Dallas. The beef tacos were okay. Burger was not good. My friend thought of this place, so we said why not! When we approached the host at the front and told him we wanted to visit the bar, he told us that we looked like "nice people" and would let us in to the Pool Club, although reservations are usually required. He gave us a wrist band and directed us to the 4th floor. There was a bouncer at the door of the Pool Club checking for wrist bands. Looking back, though, I'm not sure how "exclusive" the club actually is, as more and more people started trickling in as the night went on. 4th floor doesn't seem like much, but you still get a nice view of the Dallas downtown skyline! We got drinks and some calamari. The calamari were okay at best. The drink I got, the galactic, was refreshing, fruity, not too sweet. We walked around a bit. It's quite a large rooftop bar with various seating areas - some around fire pits, some overlooking Design District. I'd say this is a nice place to visit with a group of friends or on a date. Service is friendly, timely, attentive. Staff members were all wearing masks. I would go for the drinks and views, but not for the bar bites (which is from the restaurant in the hotel downstairs).

Initially, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly Emerald Waters Pool completed our pool installation. Unfortunately, we soon realized the speed came at the expense of doing the job correctly. The biggest issue was that the required city inspections were never completed before construction moved forward. Will advanced the project all the way to the final inspection, where the city rejected the entire project. We then spent approximately two and a half months waiting for everything to be corrected and approved before we could finally move forward with the plaster. Even after receiving city approval, the problems continued. The site had not been properly prepared before the plaster was applied, resulting in it having to be installed twice. Then, just three weeks after installation, the color began fading, which was clearly not normal. We contacted Will about the issue but never received a response. We also discovered that the waterfall was installed off-center, another quality control issue that should have been caught during construction. In addition to the pool, we hired Emerald Waters Pool to install a patio and walkway. The workmanship was disappointing. The pavers was neither straight nor level without constant supervision, and we had to insist that sections be redone because they were not installed correctly. To make matters worse, some of the additional work we paid for was never completed. It is also worth noting that the work performed outside of the pool installation was never covered by a written contract, which appeared to avoid documenting that portion of the project. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Emerald. Between the missed inspections, poor workmanship, lack of communication, and incomplete work, the project became far more stressful and time-consuming than it should have been. We strongly encourage anyone considering this company to continue their search for a builder that prioritizes quality, communication, and accountability.

My room was clean and & spacious. I had a small hiccup when I got in that was promptly addressed thru the texting app. We ate at Ser-Steakhouse and frequented the lounge downstairs for fresh pastries, pizzas, sandwiches and drinks as needed. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, I would highly recommend it if you have kids. There is a mini water park and play area just outside the tower. It has plenty of cabanas to sit and relax while they play their hearts out.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from the moment I arrived. At check-in, the front desk clerk appeared unable to find my reservation and acted as though checking me in was an inconvenience. Eventually, he located the reservation under my maiden name, but the interaction left me feeling unwelcome. As a Hilton Honors member, I later learned from another employee at the water park that complimentary bottled water was available to me, but this was never mentioned during check-in. The most concerning issue occurred in our room when the toilet backed up. The first maintenance employee was unable to unclog it and called for another worker. During the repair, contaminated toilet water splashed across the bathroom floor and was then tracked onto the carpet by the maintenance staff. Although the bathroom floor was cleaned, we were uncomfortable knowing that wastewater had been tracked through the carpeted area of the room. Despite this situation, we were never offered a room change or relocation. I expected better customer service and guest care from a Hilton property of this caliber. Between the poor welcome at check-in and the handling of the sanitation issue in our room, this stay fell well below expectations.

Don't drop the equipment or use Super heavy weights because one of the Staff members will ask you to not disturb the spa next-door. The music sounds depressing and it's played through an intercom system. But it's the only full gym on the side of town. It closes a little too early. You are sharing with Hotel guest. That may not know what they're doing. So I only maybe recommend it. The few positives include: You can probably find the equipment you're looking for. It's not overly crowded, unless there's a convention of annoying people in town like yesterday. They keep it clean. Generally, I feel it's overpriced for the value. It took me about a month to get enough response back from the manager to join. Once I joined I emailed several logistical follow up questions and have never received a response. As far as I know there is no email newsletter or online schedules. I went to one class so far and there was no one attending, I arrived right at the class time and the teacher was packing up because no one was there. Like I said, from an equipment standpoint, there is everything you need, it is not the top of the line, but everything seems pretty well-maintained and in working order. Access to the hotel pools is also a plus. But it does not feel friendly at all, you are kind of left alone to figure things out. I came from very communal gym membership environments so it is quite a change.

Separate pools for lap swimming and water-walking or water aerobics instruction. Hallelujah. 2. Pool lanes are quite large, so sharing wouldn't be difficult at all. That said, at the day/time I was there, I didn't have to share. 3. Towel service (hint: the large towels are inside the entrances to the locker rooms). 4. Garage parking underground is a super nice perk for a rainy day. 5. Friendly staff (but that seems to be all YMCAs). Cons: 1. Shower situation was shockingly poorly planned, given that this entire building is relatively new construction. I guess showers don't need benches where you can put your stuff? In the women's locker room, people had pulled chairs over into the shower area to "solve" this problem, but it wasn't great. 2. For anyone who's uncomfortable in a public locker room for any particular reason (I can think of several), there are very few (only two) private shower/locker rooms available relative to my home YMCA, and they're labeled with rather unfriendly signs saying that you shouldn't use them unless you're a family or a disabled person.
