Fast forward to the present time, I re-injured my back and found myself in the same situation extreme sciatica and spasm's on my left side with complete numbness down the back of my leg and bottom of my foot. My medical insurance provider was pressuring me to go to the ER and undergo an MRI immediately. I know exactly what the outcome would have been, and it would have involved a knife (again) and THOUSANDS of dollars (again). I decided to go with Genesis because none of the previous "chains" did anything for me whatsoever. 1) After just one visit with Dr. Johnson and his deep tissue specialists, I felt SIGNIFICANTLY better the second I walked out. Though it's a process with this type of injury, the numbness immediately started to subside and is still getting better. 2) Dr. Johnson lets his patients use his Physical Therapy room and all of the equipment at ANY time without charging. 3) They don't sell "packages" that suck you into any commitments, and when you feel like you're done, you're done 4) The deep tissue massage therapist made me want to kick a puppy, because she was just that good. Seriously.... She knew EXACTLY how to target every area she needed to. On a pain scale of 1-10, the massage was a solid 8-10, but I'm telling you, if it doesn't hurt they're not doing it right. 5) They don't just "deep tissue" for 30-minutes and call it a day... They spend significant time and target the areas that NEED to be targeted. The entire deep-tissue sessions I've had have lasted anywhere between 1.5-2 hours. 6) If you go, and they work on you, and it hurts, trust me... It's supposed to... You'll walk out of there feeling like a brand new person. 7) Dr. Johnson's adjustments were a breeze and there was absolutely no point where I felt he was putting my injury at risk.

If you ask, he will recommend particular exercises for what ails you - in my case, I had a stiff and sore neck that stretched down into the area inside my shoulder blades. He said it was from slouching at the computer at work, and recommended an exercise that had me feeling better in three days. The office features great massage chairs to sit in while waiting for your appointment to begin, a roller table that stretches and loosens you before your adjustment, and the strong but gentle attention of Dr. Caras. The location is very convenient for me. My first visit to him was due to somewhat alarming results of blood tests ordered by my general practitioner. The GP ordered a massive cocktail of drugs, including Lipitor, which is said to have some nasty side effects. I took the results to Dr. Caras for a second opinion, and he recommended a change of diet, plus exercise, to get rid of the alarming numbers. I much prefer to go the natural route if possible. My family will continue to use Premier Chiropractic as our alternative health provider.
