Here are the negatives..... 1, He kept accusing us og not knowing hot to properly do bookkeeping and asking us to turn over our bookkeeping to him - for a fee of course. We have never had any CPA complain about our bookkeeping and we have been doing it for 19 years. 2. He failed to depreciate our buildings at our business thereby causing me to end up owing the IRS an additional 15k in taxes that I should have never paid. Our new CPA caught this and filed an amended return to correct the mess Jay created. 3. He never filed the franchise tax report with the TX Comptroller's office and never bothered to mention that he did not file it. This caused us to get a notice from the state putting us out of business until we remedy this by filing our report. Again our new CPA is handling it. 4. Jay is constantly trying to upsell services as add ons that other CPA firms include in their tax preparation service. Also when something goes wrong it is always the clients issue never his responsibility. Stay away. This was the worst accounting experience ever.

Debra White the escrow manager has been brought in to this situation and has sent me email after email stating that I misunderstood and paperwork is done correctly. Problem is the way you did the paperwork is not what we verbally agreed to and not how you explained it to me. There is no misunderstanding. Your employees made an error, which happens as people are human but now you refuse to have integrity and be honest and make the situation right. Meagan refused to return a phone call or email further proving your level of integrity. My advice if you use them, follow up every conversation with an email or text. It is a sad world when people pretend to care about you, share their personal stories of divorce and then bail when they make a mistake. What is worse is employees are now telling me to talk to the owner Scott and are sure to point out that he is a real estate attorney. My case ended up being the largest verdict in the county's history at $131 million! That was a little more than double the second highest verdict granted in that county before my case. From the moment the verdict was read, Brian and Glenda have been eager to check in with me and see how much lighter I feel and how it has helped me heal. It was never about the money for them. They actually determined months before trial that no money would likely ever be paid out from the defendants but they still chose to pursue justice for me. Most attorneys would have just dropped my case and I wouldn't have blamed them at all if they did!
