Amy Kaplans office has been by far the most inconsistent/uncommunicative agent I've had yet. I've been with them for about a year now. It feels like almost every month something is going on with my bill, and I have to call and get it situated. What's encouraging me to leave a 1 star review is is absolute lack of communication on their end. When I started my policy here, I initially only had one car on my policy. Then at the start of this year (23) I added an additional vehicle. It was only about a month I had 2 cars on my plan. I was never told because I had two cars on my policy that added a "multi car discount" onto my policy making my rate cheaper. At the end of January I took off one of my cars leaving only my truck on the policy. When I did this they never informed me that this would take that discount off making my rate more expensive. It's been about 4 months since I changed the policy and this month my bill went from $120 (full coverage) to $180. When I called to see why she told me I was no longer eligible for that discount AND they were going to back date my policy since I went about 4 months with that discount. This was NEVER communicated through out the process. This is not a good building block to build a relationship with a client that pays your bills. $60 is quite a significant jump when you are on a budget. I feel like this is a bad representation for a company and has put a bad taste in my mouth towards State Farm. I have switched my agent and will be looking around for a new provider. I'm quite disappointed, especially since I've been with this provider for so many years.

Might have not been the exact right choice for me, since I'm a small job. I used him 2 times / one was for two years of taxes and one last year. I got my taxes done finally which is a plus... but I will say not the price or way I was expecting. Before I had only used a book keeper, and quick books certified tax person. Price was way better. In the end she actually had me owing way less money so not sure who did what right. I will be honest and say I am very unorganized and the first year I had a bunch or receipts and invoices, etc. I was told it would be $500 per year and this is me and my husband/ small biz and one w2. When I went to pay it was $1500 bc of all the adding of receipts. I was disappointed but I thought my fault bc I didn't ask enough questions or have my totals done. I used them again for last years taxes but it was actually done this year. Was told it would be $500 and was charged $750. I had my receipts added up this time . I called to make two changes one of which was Mysti a mistake. A large one. I have an Assisant that is $1200 a month , she had at 1200 a year. I am told They charge $290 a hour: and bc of those changes they had to charge me for a extra hour. Also I was dealing with the front desk person Mysti, the entire time, never saw paul once. She would even say paul needs to look this over, so I'm assuming she is doing all the work. I don't know what her credentials are but I don't see how having her enter them( totals done) and him reviewing it took 3 hours. I think the goal was to charge me enough to not make me return. That was accomplished. Also with having a biz, I literally had to say can I use this as a write off or that? And it's always only half or no u have the max instead of creating new categories or putting in a category that works. Sadly he doesn't seem very thorough and doesn't seem to work for me as a customer to get me the most deductions allowed. just a mass assembly line , to get them in and out. I will try another place next year, the place is clean and the furniture nice. It's inside and old bank and they are both nice. Just not used to the impersonal feeling I got, even when I tried to make small talk, they just seem annoyed 24/7. Maybe just the tax business. Either way I will Update my review next year after using someone new. I noticed all his other reviews are literally the same days so seems like he had friends write them.

Then when brought to Bryan attention he acted as if he was not aware and I called the agency to have a supervisor call me back no one called me back. I had to file a complaint with the Texas Dept of Insurance. I was told by Bryan he would see what he can do about it now 60 days in nothing. My insurance is about to be cancelled all because of his lies. I would not use this agency they lie. This is unethical. His agent contacted me I would have NEVER left if I would have been told the truth. I have texts, emails and recorded calls.
