I've never been so disappointed! I spoke with Ian at length regarding my options and felt confident in their services and placing an order. I placed my order and they charged me accordingly. And then they disappeared!!! It's been 4 weeks of daily calling and emailing with no response. I'm extremely baffled.. what happened? Why the complete lack of communication? I understand that things come up- but come on! A simple reply would help me decide to move forward with another option. My daughter is due in 5 days and I have no idea if I'm getting diapers from them or not. This is not what I want to deal with in the last few days of pregnancy. If you're unfamiliar, cloth diapers do take a few more seconds worth of time than disposables, but the learning curve is small, and the overall time isn't much of a difference. If you're earth-conscious, the differences are very much worth the little extra fuss. One thing I really appreciate about Monkey Butt is how they helped me plan ahead for the arrival of my kids. Not only was the consultation done ahead of time, but after discussing what we wanted to purchase (weekly diaper delivery for twins, diaper pail, and diaper covers), all we had to do what let him know when the kids were born and everything was delivered to our house, ready within days of when we arrived from the hospital. We signed up for this service in anticipation of our (then) soon-to-come son. We are first-time parents, and Monkey Butt Cloth Diaper Service made every accommodation to explain and offer their services to us, making our lives a lot easier. We had a rep stop by and conduct an in-home demo, which was extremely helpful, and he gave us lots of literature and assistance with other products and services both related and unrelated to diapers--even stuff that would help out new parents. The diapers are cotton, clean, and free of any external chemicals, agents, etc., so we were relieved that the first cloth touching our baby's bottom would be safe against his skin. The "Thirsties" covers that go over the cloths are also adorable, and do not leak. Monkey Butt Cloth Diapering is also extremely responsive, and handles all questions and requests in a very timely fashion. Their at-home drop-off and pick-up services are extremely convenient. Monkey Butts is A-MAZE-ING!! We cloth diapered our older son and did it ourselves, because a service like this didn't exist where we lived. The laundry was our least favorite part and was soooooo time-consuming! It is such a treat to have that part taken care of. It took a little adjusting, as we had our own methods from before, but we've adapted and love it! Pick up is easy and we always have enough diapers and wipes. I admit, as a first-time mom I was initially against cloth diapers because I thought they were way too much work. After several weeks at the nudging of my hubby I gave in and agreed to a consult with Ian. That was 6 months ago, my daughter is now 10 months and I love the service. They make it extremely easy (agree with the other reviewer they're like diaper ninjas) dirty diapers disappear and new ones appear without us knowing they were there. Plus, They were flexible with us on weeks we've been out of town. We get the knowledge that we're impacting the environment in a smaller way, our daughter has had minimal diaper rash, plus the covers helped us manage some super-explosive blowouts (we tried every disposable diaper imaginable). We aren't 100% cloth- we use disposable for travel and if we're out and about for long periods, but majority are cloth. I wasn't sure about doing cloth diapers until I found out there was a company that cleans the diapers for you. I can't believe this is the only cloth diaper service in Atlanta. I think it's the best concept for people like me that don't want to be stuck to the washer all day long. Ian has always been super responsive, every time I email him, I get a response in less than 24 hours. I love the fact that he comes to your house and does a demo of the diapers, for me that was a great option because I didn't know what to expect from using cloth diapers. Clean Diapers have always been delivered on time. You put the diapers out once a week in the evening and clean diapers magically appear in the morning. This has been an absolutely wonderful service. My wee one is now 6 months old and we have cloth diapered him the entire time using Monkey Butt's service. It's just as easy to throw an insert into a diaper bin as it is to throw a disposable into the trash, that is as long as someone else is doing the washing! We call them the diaper ninja, because "poof" dirty diapers leave and clean diapers appear and we never even notice he has been by! FYI: 6 months of NO diaper rash or skin irritations at all. I was easily able to teach my day care provider how to change the diapers. She puts them in a plastic bag for me during the day and I toss them in the diaper bin at night.
