One or two items. Just keep that in mind. That's what you come here for. I wouldn't come here to do my full grocery shopping. Prices are a little bit higher but this is a small family owned location. They have a little bit of everything so if you just need to pick up some apples and even a six pack of beer you probably can find it here. But you pay for the convenience of being able to park real close to the building and get in and out pretty fast. It's almost like a convenience store. Staff is very helpful if you're looking for something in particular. I personally wouldn't get the vegetables here because I've seen too many complaints about them being outdated but to pick up a snack or even my favorite IPA it can be a go-to. We're from California and must say that when visiting Toledo we always stop at Monnette's Market for the amazing Potato Salad and friendly service. On this day we had a great experience at the deli counter. We didn't get her name but she was super friendly and made our visit memorable. The ambiance in the store is what brings us back over and over. Great job !!! read more

On June 1st I purchased a 12oz bottle of miracle whip. When I got home I realized the price tag said $5.99. Seems high to me. I called them the young man that answered said I was charged correctly. He said he checked. Kroger's price for the same size Is considerably lower. They're charging prices like a carryout!! read more

A fan of the local man, Monettes does the trick! When I'm in a rush on the way to the hospital or school, I always find myself flying by this place. I see their deals posted outside, and always see a lot of people going in, but I never really went in myself until yesterday. Man - I wish I went there earlier. While I am a foodie myself, I do love to cook. I've started to get myself into a healthier diet with as much fresh food as I can. If you're looking for good fruits, veggies, meats, and cheeses at a great price and fresh as all-get-out (yes, I did just say all-get-out), the you can't go wrong. I either looked super lost, was looking at everything in great detail, or the people are really nice - but either way, I was asked by several folks if I needed help. I'm not usually a big fan of people being in my space when I shop, but there was something about approaching me with a smile that helped. This is a place that I will be back to shop more often. There's a charm about Monettes, and a charm that I think many people can appreciate and enjoy as well! read more

Clean and we'll kept. Prices are the BEST I have seen. Nice, Polite and VERY HELPFUL employees which is the most important to me. Pre-made foods are always packaged and look fantastic. They're homemade soups and stews were out of this world FANTASTIC. The ONLY place in Lucas Cnty that I have been able to get my $20 (per week) weekly to stretch out as far as possible. When you have health issues that cause pain & inflammation and can cripple you besides making you Anemic and vitamin deficiencient; that's when all those fresh fruits and vegetables that they carry are reasonably priced. They make me healthy and happy. Fresh inexpensive meats fill my belly. I am so incredibly happy that we found Monnettes market. Thank you, Monnettes. read more

I love this Monnette's and used to shop here all the time when I lived in South Toledo. If you'll note the one star reviews they are from people that don't live in Toledo and only have posted one star ratings. I think of the three stores this location has the best deli and unlike the reynold's road store the employees do wear masks (I walked out of the Reynold's road store today because none of the employee's were wearing masks). I wish they were open a little later and had a better POS system that would give a more detailed receipt however. read more

Well I guess it's true all good things come to an end! I asked 2 people about the donuts and a cake I brought because there is NO expiration date! Oh there fresh we just got them in! Really! I bit into one and had to spit it out! I was going to return the 6.85 cents worth of goods that are NO good! they don't have to worry about me ever buying donuts or lunch meat again. The boars head lunch meat looked a fright! I brought that for someone and didn't notice it until it was unpacked! They refused to eat it! It apparently was cut on a dirty cutting station! I noticed 3 workers working lunch meat counter and no one is cleaning anything! I saved the receipt the donuts and the lunchmeat I was going to return them both for a refund. The wine and produce is still worth it! shame on you Monnettes aren't you family owned? I expect better from a family owned business. read more

This is another of my "secret places" that I don't like telling the world about. If you like fresh fruit and veggies, this is Mecca. I dont say that lightly. They have almost everything you can imagine and cheap prices too. When strawberries are in season, there is a huge red table in the middle of the store with about a ton on it. The aroma is heavenly. Wander to the back of the store and you'll find a full deli stocked with salads, prepped food and cheese. I like them so much I even have a t-shirt. It was only $5. Reasonable. Sometimes I would stop here for lunch, buying small amounts of cheese, and meat and a 1/2 pound of feta to nibble on. I am convinced that in a former life I was a mouse I nibble so much. The prices on the meat is great;; sometimes they have a sale on salami for 1.99/lb or something equally as tempting. If you pass through stop by and buy something. I LOVE Monette's. They have nothing but fresh produce and the prices are reasonable! Their 'deli' section is pretty diverse as well. My only complaint is the fact they only have two cashiers to check out customers. Sure they're pretty efficient at checking out their customers but theit overall place is rather small and it can be somewhat cramped when there are long lines waiting to be checked out. read more

Monnette's is my favorite place to shop in Toledo!!!! I love the small town feel...and especially their flowers! The prices are very reasonable and the quality is always exceptional. I normally believe in patronizing local stores, but as Toledo goes through its water crisis, Monette's decides to gauge their customers with $15 bottles of water. They obviously do not care about keeping their business and I will not be shopping there again. read more

I live one mile away from this market and I pretty much always get my fresh produce and deli meat from here. I take advantage of the seasonal items as they price them very cheaply - cheaper than the nearby grocery stores. They have a very good variety of fruits and vegetables throughout the year. I'm not too picky on deli meat, so I get ones that are on sale, but the non-sale deli meats are priced very reasonably. I was shocked how much I liked this location. It's slightly larger than Reynolds, but without the sketchy neighborhood stores. It also doesn't hurt that the Glendale location is only about 3 minutes from my office. Also, for some odd reason I got the ripest fruit I've ever gotten (amazing mango. WOW), even compared to Secor. The black grapes; however, not so good. Also note that the same produce/meats are not always on sale at all locations. read more

I think I've been to every Monettes in the city of Toledo, but this is by far my favorite. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. They also have a great selection of produce and seasonal plants. There have been a few times that I've purchased lunch meat that only after a day or two it went bad, but they always took it back and offered me something in return. This is my favorite place to shop for deli meats and cheeses, ingredients for pita pizzas and produce. Their specialty products can be a little pricey but are worth it. Plus, their weekly sales are very wallet friendly. This location posts the sale items on their website as well. Plus, the cashiers are always friendly, and they do accept credit cards. read more

I really, really, really wish there was a Monettes location near where I live. Because I'd go there like every other day, and a 3 hour drive to Toledo just isn't feasible. I've been a regular here for a few years and am so glad it's here!!! Great produce at great prices! Deli is clean and well stocked!! Owner is in the house a lot and he's on it all the time ! Brings super good buys to his customers whenever he can and wants to do that ! I buy in the front and lots in deli also and all I've bought over these last few years I've only had a couple things that weren't right I was taken care of when I went back and treated very fair. I will continue to use this store when I'm in the area. What a great team !!! All work well here together that's what makes it all work. Hats off to you monnettes team!!! read more

I have been a long time shopper at Monettes on Glendale and the store located on Reynolds Road. Not sure what happened but recently I bought bacon from the Glendale store, 2/$5. The bacon was dated to use until August 2016 but once cooked it tasted rancid. I also wanted to purchase nut grain bread on Reynolds but could only find two loaves both dated 4/16, mind you this happened this month which is July. When I inquired about it the clerk said she wasn't sure if that was the expiration date and placed the bread back on the shelf to be sold. I will still buy fresh fruit and veggies there because I can see the freshness but as far as packaged products and deli items I just can no longer trust the freshness. There organic milk is also now over $7 per gallon and that's just outrageous when I can get the same milk from Kroger for under $4. read more

Amazing selection of plants! Everything is so healthy and beautiful, and Elaine is a peach! She's so friendly and helpful! Actually, all of the employees at this market are friendly and helpful. It's a distance for regular shopping, but when we do shop here, everything has been great. I love that they have Boars Head lunch meat. read more

I've been meaning to write this since spring when I bought my hanging baskets... But today reaffirmed it, after getting my corn stocks and bales of straw, and I was still very impressed! It used to be a friendly place but since a few new employees have started it has become less so. They make you feel like you are imposing on them to get service. I am usually not picky either I used to do restaurant work and know it is not easy to work with the public. read more
