This "health care" facility is NOTHING of the kind. They have proven time and time again that they are ONLY about money and NOT about a person's health and/or threat to a person's/patient's health due to this organization's "money only" mentality. My wife was under the care of one of this organization's physicians - one who hadn't left (like many do from this organization) and tried to schedule with another pain management provider. The subsequent pain management provider couldn't see her before her prescription refills were due - and so we BEGGED this organization to see her on a special circumstance/emergency basis. We even offered to pay cash for the emergency appointment THEY FLAT OUT - WITHOUT ANY CONCERN, CARE, OR SEMBLANCE OF COMPASSION - REFUSED. STAY AWAY from this organization if you care about your health and care. CLEARLY, this organization does not. They ONLY care about your bank account and how much they can extract from it. REBUTTAL TO NEGATIVE REVIEWS I looked at Yelp to get some information on my doctor and saw the reviews here. I feel compelled to rebut some of these as I find them to be preposterous. I've been seeing Dr. Lipshutz since a near fatal car accident in March of 2021. He is a very knowledgeable and compassionate pain management doctor and I never felt he was more interested in money over patient care. Contrary to some of the reviews below, I've called the office literally dozens of times and I never experienced not having my calls answered. The exception is of course when the office is closed or during the lunch break. Also contrary to some of the comments, I've never had to wait very long and I've had more visits than most over the past 17 months. I would never tolerate the long waits described below and I've "fired" several doctors in Las Vegas for just that kind of poor service. Because of the extent of my injuries, I've been seeing several other health care providers including a neurologist, a neurosurgeon, an orthopedist, a chiropractor, and a psychiatrist. Every one of these doctors has expressed a very favorable opinion of Dr. Lipshutz. Frankly, I can't imagine even considering seeing any other pain management. read more

Dr. Isaac is amazing! He is very warm and attentive and he actually tries to help you instead of just throwing drugs at you to mask the root of the problem like many doctors do! He listens and takes time to answer any questions you have and is, by far, the best doctor I've ever dealt with! His medical assistant, Alma, is phenomenal! She is ALWAYS on top of her stuff, like prior authorizations or if I need a call back for any reason, she is quick to handle any and all issues that come up! Dr Jeremy Lipshutz at Monos Health was recommended by my primary physician. I made an appointment by phone. Upon arriving for the scheduled appointment, I was told that I did not have an appointment. At that moment I made an appointment and received the new patient forms that can be filled out at home. I returned for the appointment and submitted the forms. While waiting in the lobby I was asked to fill out more forms. Some the the information was the same as the previous forms such as a list of medication. I waited 45 minutes before being called to the examining room. In the examining room I waited 30 minutes before the doctor entered. He was not given the forms with the list of medication. I spent 20 minutes with the doctor during which he explained a recommended procedure and asked if I would like to schedule it. I stated I would like to think about it. After wards I researched the procedure and decided it was not what I was interested in doing. The office disorganization, long wait time and the recommended procedure convinced me to see another doctor. read more

My doctor at this place is great, but the billing department is sketchy. This location is out of network for me, so I visit the doctor and the insurance company sends me checks to bring to the doctor so they get paid. I never missed giving this place a check and all the sudden they told me I owed them 6 thousand dollars. They also charged me a copay even after I met all of the deductibles and out of pocket insurance totals. BEWARE. Keep all your receipts and keep accurate records. If you go here and you're an out of network patient, make sure you give the checks to the billing department directly and get a receipt because there are too many hands in the middle between the front desk and billing. The staff is good, which can be hard to find at a doctors office here in Vegas. Go her if they're in network. DO NOT GO HERE if your insurance is out of network. read more

It is with pleasure that I provide my review regarding my visit to SimonMed Imaging. I arrived at their Henderson, Nevada facility and was immediately greeted by David Nunez, Site Manager. Unfortunately, I suffer severe problems with my back and David had me sit on a chair and personally collected my insurance information and brought me their paperwork for completion. David is a very kind, compassionate, professional employee and an asset to SimonMed Imaging. I would also like to commend the technicians. The gentleman who took my ex-rays was kind and apologetic for having to take so many x-rays that caused me such great pain, as well as, the MRI technician suggested that I reschedule the MRI when I felt a bit better. Monos Health is horrible. I repeat, horrible. Please note they are also known as Monos Health Institute, and are located on 6120 South Fort Apache Road, Las Vegas, NV 89148. 702-948-8660. Monos Health office and staff, which include Jeremy Lipshutz, Heath Wills, and Issac Tunnel, have three times botched my scheduling and insurance billing, causing me considerable prolonged pain, anxiety, and time wasted. All three cases are too lengthy to mention in detail, so I will describe the third, which transpired today. Two weeks ago Dr. Lipshutz prescribed a procedure to happen today. An epidural injection to the neck (c-spine), due to a herniated disc. I've actually had the condition for over nine weeks, but getting in for examination, getting MRI's ordered, and other logistics have delayed my treatment. (Yes, I've been given some drugs in the meantime, but I'm not a fan of most pharmateuical drugs, as they often do damage along with helping, so it's a double-edged sword. I would rather treat the problem, not the symptom.) Meanwhile I've lost time at work, lost money, and had continual hassle while waiting for treatment or trying to get appropriate treatment. That day, the office handed me an appointment card, signed by a staff, for 4pm December 15th, 2014. Also, two weeks ago, the office was supposed to start the insurance process. Most insurance companies balk at any claims, at least the first time, so it takes several days if not a week or two to push things through. You have to fax them stuff, reports, prove history of treatment, etc. As I had already been there several times over the course of several weeks, I had no reason to think they would blow this one, especially since it was an important procedure and what all my visits had been leading up to. I even verbally reaffirmed with staff that they were going to follow through with insurance, as they handed me instructions for my upcoming procedure. I even visited their office last Friday, discussing a recent MRI scan, and reiterated with them that I had a procedure on Monday. "See you Monday," they said. To prepare for the procedure, I needed to fast for six hours before, and no water 2 hours before. I also had to arrange an adult to drive me there, wait, and drive me home, since I would be on drugs of some sort while getting the epidural. I arranged to not do anything important for 24hrs afterward, like driving a car, work tasks, etc., per their procedure guidelines. When I showed up at the office, the staff present seemed surprised, and said I wasn't scheduled. They asked when I made the appointment and if I was sure it was today? I pulled at my appointment card, signed by the very staff who was questioning me! She confirmed that she had made the appointment two weeks ago. But for some reason it wasn't in the system. Even worse, they haven't even called my insurance company to start the pre-authorization process! The two staff proceeded to say they would try to push the claim through in a few minutes, though I knew that was mission impossible. Basically another two weeks of waiting in pain were wasted, along with my preparation. They came back, saying the claim was denied, and tried to blame the insurance company. The other staff member took no responsibility and kept saying, well they might deny it anyway. My insurance has paid for two MRIs and four office visits trying to fix this problem. Now that we finally have a treatment - an epidural, much more simple than surgery - they are not going to simply stop here. That is ridiculous. Rather, it takes a few days or week to push the authorization through, which they should know. And they do know. However, like the first two mistakes Monos Health made, they tried to dismiss responsibility and ignore it or blame it on other factors. The whole experience is completely unacceptable and demonstrates negligence. And again, has cost me extened pain, hassle, work lost, money lost, and anxiety while trying to get treatment. Now I will be forced to find another provider, which takes another referral from my primary doctor, and more scheduling, waiting to get in, etc. I'm several weeks away from getting the epidural shot that I need, and in fact, that will make nearly 3 months of waiting for a rather simple procedure, mostly due to office and staff mistakes. For your health and pain issues, I strongly suggest going anywhere other than Monos Health. read more

I have been seeing dr workman , who is amazing , compassionate , as well as very knowledgable about my condition. If it wasn't for him , I would be going to another pain dr after my experience with Javier Avila PA-C Monos Health - Las Vegas, NV, I had the most terrible experience with Javier today. My regular dr. Was out this week and I got booked with Javier. He was not only very unprofessional with zero bedside manner, but he threatened me. Javier knows absolutely nothing about my medical condition and told me that if I don't " take action towards getting surgery , MRI, and physical therapy , that he nor Monos health will give me my meds. I have a rare spinal cord disease that's progressive with zero cure. My neurosurgeon referred me to my pain dr so my pain would be under control , and basically just make my chronic pain and neurological symptoms a little more bearable to live my life. I was so upset I was crying , I called and I spoke with his supervisor and she apologized for him. I really hope monos health takes this seriously. I left there feeling horrible , Javier didn't even listen to me . He just shunned me like I was some Low life pill seeker , instead of having compassion , he had judgement against a invisible disease. I hope you read this Javier. Google syringomyelia , learn everything there is to know about it , just in case you get a patient with this disease - maybe you'll learn to show compassion on this life altering spinal cord disease. I don't really like doing bad reviews. And This is not totally bad. I started off bad at Monos with one of the medical assistance Taylor. I don't know if she was too busy or what but I had to call a lot regarding different issues that were suppose to be ordered. As well as the staff that deals with the insurance for MRI and procedures were always hard to get a hold of, and hardly ever called you back. Taylor though was down right rude and disrespectful to me, and acted as if .had no right be upset or be asking for the things that were suppose to be done. It was very frustrating. I will say though she did get one thing done for me, that when I in extreme pain when a weekend came, and I was very grateful for that but I had to push it to the limit. When I was given to Javier and his assistant Jennifer I was very pleased. It was basically monthly visit and going as far as I guess as my insurance would allow. Jennifer at first was on top on things and got things done. She always called me back and I had absolutely no complaints at all. Same with Javier. No complaints. AT one point I had even got a really nasty stomach bug or something that lasted a month and he helped with the meds on that that my doctor gave me on when to stop to help me which was great. I mean He really is a great PA. He cares and knows what he is doing. I don't have complaints there. Things started going a bit bad over this last summer. I honestly think Jennifer his assistant got to busy. She looked tired. She still was never rude to me, but I was having to wait for things like prescriptions (not for drugs at a pharmacy but other things) and she was not returning my phone calls. Vacations were taken and business was not taken care of. I was looking for a simple prescription for a 10's unit and pads which it only needed to faxed and the company did the rest. It never got done. So my Primary doctor did it. Then they were going to send me to Physical therapy for an shoulder injury and I called them about it, they were on vacation. He had given me a shot but it had not lasted. But he told me how important it was. I was told the insurance had not approved it yet. When I primary asked me about it, she said it does not work that way. She said I'll take care of it, I need to get an X Ray of it then we can do an MRI after that but I'm referring you to a different pain clinic. Keep your appt with Javier for this month though. She was even surprised because she had only heard good things of him. And knew from me how happy I'd been with them. My last visit was awkward to say the least. I told him my doctor ordered a X-Ray and he said he wanted an MRI. I don't know it was awkward. It was awkward when Jennifer called me back and everything. She had a prescription pad for the 10's unit 2 months later I may add, I just don't understand it. I really wish it would not have ended as it did. The front office was always great. They were wonderful girls. Always smiles. There back office was something that needed improvement that worked on insurance issues. Javier as a PA is great. The one time I saw DR. Lipshutz is great. He was friendly and all. I barely remember him, but he was nice. I'm just sorry our relationship had to end and I hope that maybe they can get some extra help or whatever it takes for the little things that add up. read more

I've been going to Monos for quite a while. In November I had a family emergency in Ohio and was there much longer than expected. The staff helped me so much during this time it made me feel like at least this issue I didn't have to worry about. Jennifer and Javier helped me over and over. I have seen Dr. Lipshultz and Isaac also. All of them have been great. As matter of fact when my faceless insurance company administrator decided that ANOTHER back surgery was better than trying the shots, and denied the shots 3x, Javier talked and worked with them until it was approved. They take the least invasive route first. You would think insurance wouldn't want to pay for surgery instead of a shot but I've been told they think you will just live with the issue instead of getting surgery. Although I don't normally write reviews, I have a GREAT TEAM at Monos Health with Javier Avila and his AMAZING Medical Asst, Anna who has helped me get the RIGHT referrals to excellent Specialists rather than just pick a name which has happened to me too many times, she has gotten Prior Authorizations right away where before I would have to ask over & over while my medication runs out & I suffer the consequences of severe spasms or burning nerve pain... However Anna truly cares about the patients she works with and has always gone above and beyond to help with medical questions or getting the right answers from the Dr. in a timely matter where before at other Dr offices I have had to call many times or just suffer... but Anna makes sure I get the help and answers I need! For once I feel as if I truly matter to the Medical Staff and I'm NOT just another number! Anna is extremely knowledgeable and is GREAT at her job!!! I'm sure everyone can agree that is rare now a days!! THANKS ANNA FOR HONESTLY MAKING A DIFFERENCE & THE CARE YOU GIVE TO ALL US PATIENTS!!! I have been treated for chronic back pain; bilateral knee torn ligaments & requiring a complete knee replacement on my rt knee, and now a problem with/my left shoulder not being able to reach up. Javier Avila has sent me to the BEST Orthopedic Surgeon so I can know I am in the best medical care. He has made sure that I have had the MRI's to confirm my diagnosis and get the right treatment and rather than just medicating me he has made sure I have had Physical Therapy, the Injections, and much more to prepare me for all that is ahead. I have had great success in my road back to having a healthy & strong back, knees and soon a good shoulder. Although at times I have gone to the wrong Dr. for me at other facilities, once I began being treated at Monos Health and by Javier Avila I now see a light at the end of the tunnel where before I only had a walker and felt no chance at a return to all the activities I used to be able to do, and to enjoy the times out with family and to laugh & play a little with my Grandchildren... I am now beginning to be a part of my family gatherings and be IN the pictures & memories rather than just being home bound & looking at the pictures of what I once was part of... Please reconsider going to this Pain Institute. I've been going week after week for over a month to treat severe headaches. Each time I go for an appointment I wait 4-6 hours and then sit while Dr William "Baumgartl" scratches his head while scribbling on a piece of paper. I had a complete hysterectomy done about a year ago and the headaches have increased. I was referred to this medical facility by my family doctor and have expressed to them my extreme disappointment in the doctor & facilties lack of concern for treating my issue. Dr "B" is more concerned about having me come every week for a follow up, having me take unapproved hormone testing in which my insurance won't cover and soaking up each co-pay. Dr "B" requested an MRI & CT Scan in the beginning and over a month later his office/Norma has yet to get an answer to me as to why I can or cannot have this procedure, but his assistant will tell him each time I'm there in his room it's been approved "TOTAL DISORGANIZATION!" When trying to express my concerns at the office yesterday Dr "B" would not even come back into the room to talk to me he had his soft spoken assistant relay messages back & forth between us like he was in elementary school, he did not even have the professionalism to come consul me as to why he wrote my prescriptions wrong and wouldn't refill the pain pills because his lack of listening, he had his assistant tell me since he won't refill my meds "when I get a headache to go to the ER for help", which means I'll be taking daily trips and adding more medical bills to my pile. I could go on and on about how angered I am with all the time & money wasted with this heartless Dr "B" and the lack of attention at this facility, but please don't waste your time & money like I did in trusting I was going to be taken care of and hoping to be pain free because now I have to start over with a new doctor once I find one. read more

I hate to give this place a 1 star based off one doctor, but that's how badly this 1 dr affected me. Dr. Lipshultz, Dr. Bosinger, and Dr. Seeds all deserve 5 star, but this is about my leaving this clinic after a year and half. Dr. Workman has hands down the worst bedside manner and unprofessional dr that talks and walks with a Godlike complex. Pain management is such a touchy subject, bc there seems to be an automatic assumption (or at least in workman's behavior) of misuse of drugs, when in fact, my neurologist advised, after he spoke to him to find another doctor and gave me a few recommendations. One with whom i am VERY happy with. He reduced my medication in half before ever speaking to any of my other doctors. I saw him twice and my neurologist suggested I stay on the same medication until further diagnosis, so my second time I met him, was AFTER he spoke to my neurologist, and I asked him about his reduction of my prescription, and he yelled at me saying "I am not going to have this same argument with you every time." Let me remind you, this is the 2nd time I've spoken to him EVER which shows his lack patience and his bias without ever getting to the bottom of the facts. My neurologist still stood that I remain on the same script even though Workman claimed the opposite. I also asked Workman if he ever followed up with my OTHER Dr, which was actually the main reason for me being on pain medication to begin with, and he said no, but he'd be happy to talk to them...so he makes his decisions and assumptions without ever getting a full picture or facts. I had seen at least 4-5 other doctors in this office, and none had a problem with my script. Workman, and his allmighty god like complex comes in, and says he can trump everyone in the office and he has ordered every dr in the office to never give me my medication I required ever again. Thank goodness I had my neurologist and my ob/gyn who both agreed that I should change dr's, since Workman was so hostile and gave me a bunch of recommendations as well as good referrals. I am a 38 year old single mother to a little 5 year old boy. It breaks my heart to have to say, sorry honey, mommy has to lay down for a few hours, because I am in pain. Anyone who has kids should understand, that quality of life is so important in a child's young years, as they grow so fast, and you don't want to miss a beat. I was getting unhappy there anyway. Their assistants NEVER answer their phones, call back, follow up, or simply do their job. What I feel should be a main and simple task, preauthorizations for medication to the insurance companies, somehow became challenges for them. They COULD simply pick up the phone, call the insurance company and talk to an agent, which would prioritize it above faxes as well as making sure the insurance company has everything they need. Instead, they fax it, and it showed their incompetence to the fullest. They would fax over the preauthorization after 24-48 hour of it being on their desk...and it would be incomplete. I would call over to Amerigroup, and they would say they received it and it would take 24 hours to approve it (as long as they are marked urgent, which was done about 75% of the time). Somewhere within that 24 hours, Amerigroup would notify me that the Dr's office sent an incomplete form and have sent it back to the doctors office. I would call the Dr. office to make sure they were staying on top of it. 99.5% of the time, I got a voice mail and would rarely get call backs, but they would FAX it back over 24-72 hours later. Amerigroup would call me back again to let me know they refaxed it back to the dr office, because a different part of the form was now incomplete. At this point, I am BEGGING (on voice mails) to Mono's to just CALL them. Usually they would refax it regardless, and Amerigroup now takes another 24 hours to review it again. This happened almost EVERY time I had to get a preauthorization! I know Monos reads their reviews, my advice is to stop having the assistants fax preauthorizations. Calling would make it much simpler, much less time wasted and alot less frustration for EVERYONE involved. I even had Amerigroup so angry with them one night, because it was a Friday and they knew (and CARED) I needed my medication, and they called every 15 min and kept getting a voice mail (I was on conference). They asked if anyone in the office could help other than this ONE person, and the answer was no. Then finally near closing time, they called again, and the person had left for the night/weekend and they have no policy where somewhere else can just refax or do the preauthorization for them. Also maybe, do FULL research before declining someone medication, because of your biasm. I look like I am 25 years old and Workman treated me like a 25 year old party girl, instead of a 38 yr old mother of a 5 yr old little boy who was in constant and consistent pain. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Lipshutz, Dr. Wills, and Dr. Tunnel now for over five years. They have been nothing but great. I know at one time they may have had a problem with staff but that has long been fixed. My insurance is no longer taken there and I still continue to use them as my pain management doctors because they are simply the best. I know there are some people that might consider changing doctors because they are now more expensive because my insurance company considers them "out of network", but not me. I have personally been treated like a "druggie" by other pain doctors in Las Vegas, but never by these truly professional group of doctors. read more

I whent from a pain Dr to Dr Lipshultz, also pain Dr, who new and told me more about my pain problem, the first visit than the other Dr did in over a year ! He is straight forward tells it like it is and already has a plan of action for me to go through if it work as good for me as much as the change to DR Lipshultz than the outer Dr it should go well I have anxiety to the sky but I'm thrilled to be moving forward Praise God and Bless us all A-Men to everything ! read more

Stay away from this place if you expect any return phone calls or response from them. Dr Oliver was good. She recommended an MRI and that's when it went to crap. I had a follow up appointment in two weeks and was told I would be contacted to schedule the MRI. Two weeks later, no MRI appointment after EIGHT voice messages with no return call I get a call to confirm my appointment, which without the MRI is waste of my time and a copay. Sharon took over and said there was an "issue" with the person responsible for getting the MRI scheduled and said I should hear in a few days. Well that was almost two weeks ago and three voice messages later nothing. I don't want a prescription refilled, I'm not hooked on opiates, although I found it interesting they tested me for them on my first and only visit. I just want to find out why I can't walk without pain and get some relief. Very bad response from this clinic and I'm just trying to keep others from the same experience. read more

Monos Health treats me as family. THEY ARE NOTHING LESS THEN AMAZING! I've been going to this practice for years, they have expanded,almost doubling their staff~therefore I have yet to see every doctor but I will tell you that Isaac, Javier and Lipshutz are all fabulous. I have been in 6 car accidents which pretty much destroyed me and put me in chronic daily pain. Without them, I wouldn't be able to get out of bed each morning and run around with my two babies. I originally went to see Doctor Lipshutz because I wanted to have a baby but with all my pain and medications, it didn't seem like the healthiest thing to do. Lipshutz helped this happen. Unfortunately pain became unbearable putting stress on my little one at around 5 months, my OB sent me back to pain Mgt. Monos took me (pregnant) right back in. Isaac treated me and I was able to make it threw those fun 9 months.... Then had a healthy 9 pounder. My son is now 8 months and I still go to Monos monthly. The girls at the front always ask about my boy and ask for pics. I feel like they have been by my side since I've been coming here (which tech they have Bc they work there-lol). Anyhow, I have much more positive things to say but nonetheless they are freaking fab! One day I hope I won't ever have to go back to monos but when that happens, the reason will be because they made that possible. PS: I love you you guys. read more
