Dr Sarhangi and his staff took EXCELLENT care of me during my extraction and bridge preparation. He explained to me exactly what he was going to do - and everything happened as he said. Prior to the oral surgery I was given a Treatment Plan printout showing what my insurance would pay and my out of pocket costs. It was right on the money - it was even a bit less than anticipated. I have been going there for at least 5 years now - never had any sort of problems at all. I had taken my daughter there for a chipped tooth and it was an emergency. My daughter was not comfortable with going to the dentist, and we had expressed that to them that she had bad experiences before and we were hoping they would be better. We were WRONG!!! They did a horrible job on fixing her chipped tooth. They did not care or address how uncomfortable she was, every time she made the sliest movement of discomfort, they seemed irritated. We have since then gone to a better dental palace and they treat my daughter with kindness and understand her fears, and do an AMAZING JOB!!! Went for a teeth cleaning. Teeth cleaning took 10 minutes of the hygienist scraping my teeth with a tool. The rest of the hour was a sales pitch for different products. Was told scare tactics to buy the products. Was told my teeth could fall out if I don't buy a mouth guard and I would have to get a root canal if I didn't get water floss. THE KICKER!! The dentist came in. Looked at the X-rays and told me I need a crown cause of a ledge on my tooth. Which could trap bacteria which could lead to tooth decay which could lead to a root canal!! When I asked questions he dismissed them and told me he would submit it to the insurance and since they are real finicky they might not approve but if they do he will call to schedule. DO I NEED IT OR NOT????? Got my X-rays sent to a different dentist. He looked around my mouth and told me it is extreme for preventative care and he 100% disagrees. Go to Bella Smiles in Monroe!! I have dental problems. Go in to have cavities checked as was experiencing discomfort. Dr says oh no, I can put bridges in , you MIGHT have a bad tooth, one of the assistants says ~oh, you're missing a lot of teeth, huh!!!~exrays done, Dr comes back with plan for around ten thousand dollars of work but NEVER addressing my discomfort/pain. I should of listened to the other two reviews about how this place hides fees . The Fact is this dental office flat out told me they give insurance companies discounts and not Disabled US Veterans. They sent a bill for an addition $484 (Reverse... PPO fee) which wasn't in there estimate they printed out and had me sign. I listened to these Dentist about a simple chip in my tooth, stripping away the whole tooth and putting on a crown instead of anything else. After two months the tooth still hurts. Update: I went to my new dentist today. They did a new set of X-rays and it seems that my new dentist doesn't see the same cavities that Dr. Kenny apparently did. According to my new dentist there are two areas to watch where he sees calcification but neither of them have gone through the enamel and warrant drilling. I was told both of my visits were covered 100%. I went in to get a tooth pulled. I was told the day of by the doctor, that he did not have time, so he punted me to an oral surgeon, thus using my visit insurance up. I came back for a cleaning, they did yet another exam (when it was supposed to be just for tooth cleaning) I felt lied to, that they just used the insurance claim up to generate business... then told me when I questioned it.. "well you did sign the financial disclosure saying you knew" I did not know anything other than it was covered. This is my second bad experience at this place. Never going back... and also... when a customer is mad... and cusses. i they are not cussing at you, but at the situation . you need thicker skin or maybe you should not be in that job. especially when you are taking advantage of people. read more

The staff is pushy. They also take your money before performing any service so when your not happy with the treatment, to bad they already took your money. I should have known better than to think they had my best oral interests at heart when they know that they will get paid no matter what. Now the Dr was polite and gave me my money back after they didn't perform my treatment. But it took phone calls, and persistent standing my ground to get the staff to even inform the Dr of my complaint. read more

DO NOT GO HERE ! THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE YOU PAIN MEDICATION NO MATTER THE PAIN OR PROCEDURE ! The worst dental experience of my life... The work the dr prefirmed was done okay although I believe not in the correct manner as I've had the same procedure before... These people are a fly by night type of franchise office owned by a mystery doctor no one has ever met or seen and have three locations... the doctors rotate every few years and the setting is actually quite unsettling... the work rooms are carpeted and lack privacy... they retrofitted a prior business into a dental office and did a very minimal job... it's more like the setting of a call center than dental office or rooms... The staff is completely clueless and incompetent while also being rude... The major issue was they are playing the goverment game of not providing pain meds and telling you you dont need them and treating you like an addict or baby if you ask... their novocain is excellent... and the doctor seemed to know what he was doing... I was in pain for days and called them multiple times having to argue about ibuprofen which they made me purchase not being enough... these people care about money and looking good to the powers that be and clearly are injecting polotics into the dental work when it comes to having pain... after their slew of fake reasoning why two removed top molars shouldnt cause pain and I'm silly they continued to just talk shit as if pain medications dont work and make me feel unwelcome if I thought so... they refused to accomodate me whatsoever when they clearly have authority to write whatever prescription the patient needs... they choose to let you suffer and tell you you are not and or just to except it in their fake pursuit of being addiction heros... read more

To those who pay their bills (like me), be warned and expect them to upsell and cross sell you on anything and everything. ...even the hygienist! Had some major work done after years of not. The first (unnamed) dentist gave me a very painful shot of novocaine - and then another - and then another. The top of my head was numb and my ears too - but my mouth was not. He found another dentist who could find nerves and we proceeded. My mouth and jaw hurt more from the shots than the work. Won't see him again. Went in with a popcorn kernel stuck to the back of my molar - "you really need a root canal - and have you considered veneers?..." After convincing her that it was just a kernel and to use her tools - out it came. Root canal?! The final straw was the hygienist who - without looking in my mouth - claimed that since it was 16 months since my last cleaning that I would require the more expensive deep cleaning procedure. And when I challenged him on how he arrived at that, he started to tell me that the law requires him to and that he took an oath - blah blah blah. I walked out and haven't been back since. And called my insurance company to let them know to reject any claims for cleaning that day. It was as if they flagged my account as a target for any offer or additional service they could dream up - without a proper diagnosis There are other dentists in the area - no need to go through what I did here. read more

Right!! Five stars for a dentist visit...but true. I went here today referred by a friend and was very happy I did. I had a severely bad broken and rotten tooth ;/ I waited way to long to take care of it. I was greeted when I walked in, it felt welcoming which was a great start for my over stressed and fearful self then a woman named Melissa walked me though the whole procedure and was super sweet . My denist Dr Pineyro was just a friendly and made the whole experience the best it could be. I felt that my comfort was important. I felt I received great care and I will be back!! Rotating dentists make this place feel like a mill. I wish I could have the same dentist over the years. But no. They can't seem to keep the same staff either which has messed up my bill quite a fee times The only thing they have going for them are the hours. If you're desperate and have a toothache, then yeah they are open Saturdays. Not worth it to me, switching after my last billing incident. read more

While I HATE going to the dentist, Monroe Family Dentistry makes it bit more tolerable. I would recommend them for all dental needs and the fact that they have accommodating hours is even better. While they were able to get me in for an emergency the meds proscribed gave me sever stomach pain. Was advised to take less of said medication instead of proscribing something different. Which was what my pharmacist recommended. read more

Dental higenists great.but One of the dentists I loved left. His replacement dr pineiro couldn't have shown less regard for my needs as a patient with a broken front tooth. I am in sales and needed fixed rihht away. . Attitude was very off putting when I requested he take extra time I had arranged priot to visit. It was too much for the standard file in, file out day that cut into his empty schedule. He sa i d if i grind my teeth he would not fix it for me. I guess if i break my front tooth and have $ to pay it shouldnt matter why! When I complained, I was just told to see one of the other dentists and to pay no mind to what he says. But a month later when I requested my files be teansfered, nobody seemed surprised or asked why or how to keep my business. File In, file out. I just wish I could take the hygenist with me read more

I am very uncomfortable with dental work. I'm claustrophobic and have a high tolerance for Novocaine. Dr. Pratt understood my anxieties and handled my pain levels perfectly. I had to have several teeth pulled and had partial plates made. Although somewhat uncomfortable, just because of the procedure and my anxieties, all in all I was very very pleased with everything. Tried a local dentist as new to the area. Definitely not the one to go to even if there aren't any others within 30 miles. Unfriendly and rude employees from the receptionist from walking through the door after having a problem with an insurance card (that ended up being fine) to primarily the dental hygenist, who is about 20-25 and very arrogant and complaining about my own spouse to me, who she just cleaned her teeth (and knew we were married), to the face friendly but rude dentist. The dentist and hygenists asked questions, but it was readily apparent they didn't want to hear or listen to the answers and will not listen to any requests you have. The young hygenists also was VERY opinionated and abrupt with dental health topics that don't have straight known answers according to the previous dentists/hygenists I have used. Also the cleaning technique was painful and harsh compared to what I've experienced and I'm a daily flosser. Find somewhere else to go. read more
