I cannot express this enough: Dogville is the best place I could ever hope to send my pup…read more I'll be honest, I have a horrible habit of trying a new place once, and writing a review immediately after. And now I must admit, I have been waiting on this review for far too long. We found Dogville about 6 months ago when we were looking for a possible boarding facility for our then 7 month old border collie/terrier mix. She is extremely energetic, and love people/dogs, but has horrible separation anxiety when we have to leave her. We were hoping for two things: a safe, responsible boarding facility where she would feel welcomed and loved, not trapped, and a daycare to help get her some exercise during a long work week for us. We have easily found both here, and I cannot even begin to imagine sending her anywhere else. After only 2 times of bringing her in, the staff members knew her on site and were excited to welcome her in. They gave us assurances her first several times in regarding how she was doing, and even continue to check in with us at pick up or they have a spare moment. We have run into staff members at community events, and my pup treats them like any other member of the family. She rushes to get in the door, and isn't even nervous to leave us anymore. The staff members are so kind, and attentive, both to owners and animals, and do an absolutely amazing job making sure everyone is safe and cares for appropriately. We now take her to daycare at least once a week, and always look forward to stories about her playtime. They were even able to dress her up and take birthday pictures of her for us because we unfortunately had to be out of town the day it happened this year (I'll attach those here). They have such cute opportunities and features, keep the facility clean, and above all else, truly care about the dogs. I recommend them to anyone and everyone I can, and will continue to do so.

The…read morekids working at PetSmart are nice and respectful, but our unexpected grooming experience at Aurora Kennels/Grooming facility has made us immediate transfer customers. We have a beautiful black Cairn terrier named Milo. He is a handsome, energetic, bundle of curiosity and life. We took a vacation recently and needed to board him. Aurora's policy is to have all dogs bathed on check-in and they must have current vet records showing up to date immunizations. They offer a bath and grooming package for dogs boarding. We took it and wow. For the first time ever we've had people stop and ask what breed of dog Milo is and how cute he was. Everybody in my family on the day of pick up commented about how fantastic he looked and was acting. He strutted around the house and yard like he was a prime stud dog. Tail straight up and head high, as if he knew how he looked. We laughed out loud. The difference? For the first time ever our Cairn was cut perfectly to the AKC Cairn standard. Not like a short haired rat that was being used as a grooming dummy to train novice grooming students. The facility and kennels were very clean. The workers very professional and informative. Great listeners. One employee, Julie, in conjunction with her AKC judge husband, own the number one ranked champion Saluki in the nation. Their dog won Westminister last year I believe. They understand dogs and have worked with them all her life. For compassionate care, communication, cleanliness, thoroughness, and such a pleasant disposition that only Chick-fil-a employees seem to exude in today's service sector, I give Aurora Kennels/Grooming 5 stars without reservation.

She seemed happy when I said my dog would be a new client. Then after asking what kind of dog I had and how much she weighed, her tone changed and she told me they weren't accepting any new clients for a few months. I bring my…read moreDoodle and Great Dane three days a week to play and this is the only place we take them when we are headed out of town. One thing that is great about Bouse is that they have a lot of outdoor play areas so the dogs get to be outside enjoying the day. Once a week, I take advantage of the package they offer where a bath and a day of daycare are rolled into one very affordable price. They come home worn out and so clean! My Dane had some issues with fence aggression and male-to-male-aggression that I think would have resulted in most facilities asking us to leave. Not so at Bouse....the staff worked with him over time, made sure he was grouped with the right dogs and figured out what worked best. I am happy to say, with their patience, he has worked his way back to general population and has such a great time. I am *so* appreciative for their hard work with him. My Doodle is shy with anyone outside of "her people" but when we get to Bouse, she is absolutely BESIDE herself with excitement and she personally greets and hugs every staff member (she's a little over the opt about it). They have become "her people" for sure. I can't say enough about the staff - they are so friendly and really make us feel like our dogs are somewhere they are loved when they are not with us. They work hard to understand the dynamics between the dogs and make sure all staff is in the know. I was there for pickup once when staff members were taking a quiz on the regular dogs, their personality traits, and who they can/cannot be grouped with during playtime. It makes me smile to see pictures of them having fun on both Facebook and the walls at the facility. We have a lot of peace of mind, at work and during travel, that our very precious four-legged family members are in great hands at Bouse Fur House.

We are currently on our way to the emergency vet, as this has become worse and more infected the last few days. They failed to notify us of any wounds or change in behavior, and if there was some sort of altercation with another dog and a puncture wound - they failed to tell us all together. It's so unfortunate that it has come to having to take further steps and get him to the vet for this. When we just spoke on the phone, we were told the manager was not around. She asked us "No one told you?" but didn't elaborate on this. Hopefully the vet can fix this quickly, but this is such a hazard and so dangerous to trust someone to your pet who doesn't even notice the tiniest changes in behavior. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to take the risk of a place not really knowing what you're getting, or who is actually doing what they're paid to. Horrifying.
