When it's 1 or 2 am and you're leaving the club or bar scene and you step outside the first thing you smell is that delicious grilled up Seattle dog (hot dog) there is no way you just going to walk by it without grabbing one. The way they grill it and add all kinds of good good on it .. maaaan! Listen if you ain't from Seattle and you around cap hill you definitely gotta get yourself a monster Seattle dog ..

Came here before we went bar hopping on a Saturday night. $5 gets you a loaded hot dog on Capitol Hill. The actual hot dog is grilled and juicy. The bun is nice and chewy and compliments the dog well. You can choose to add jalapeños, relish, and other condiments. I can't imagine just how much more delicious the hot dog would have been had I been drunk like most of the customers probably are. :)

One of the best polish hot dogs I've had ever! We were walking back to our air bnb from meeting with friends at a pool hall close by. Stopped by to try this place out. It's a stand right outside a nightclub. I don't usually do street food, but this place is a must try when in Seattle. Plus I saw that they were featured on the travel channel, so they have to be good! Thank you monster dogs for the great polish hot dogs! I can't wait to stop by again soon!

Homie -- You're drunk AF and need a carby, meaty sustenance after a night of shaking your ass and mixed drinks. So go here. Order their Spicy Beef Dog, Seattle style (aka w/ cream cheese). They butterfly the wiener, grill both sides, and then nestle it in between a beautifully soft bun. For toppings, I asked for horseradish and mustard. Fantastic, soul-satisfying stuff. Other things to know: - Find it outside of Neomos. - Don't take too longer to order. - A dog will set you back something born of $6. - They accept credit cards. You're welcome.

I am shocked and confused... how does this place only have 36 reviews and only 4 stars?! I feel like I've been going here the past 10 years?! This is Home of the Seattle dog for me!! This spot is where I had my very first Seattle dog and it remains my favorite spot EVER! For me, this place is considered an iconic little establishment serving up a truly seattleite delicacy! The Seattle dog consist of a perfectly grilled polish link in a toasted bun smothered in cream cheese and covered with sweet caramelized onions!!! This amazing street snack tastes like home!!! The gentlemen who run this stand are so friendly and efficient! They always put the perfect amount of cream cheese for me and have the best topping and condiment selection! Sometimes I leave it as is because it is perfect. Other times I like to add a spritz of mayo and mustard with sriracha and jalapeños! I love this place. When out of towners want some of that Seattle good-good, I make them try Monster Dog lol The best in the NorthWest!!

I read somewhere that getting a hot dog from a hot dog stand was one of the top things to do in Seattle. I am a believer! For $5 a hot dog, you get your choice of 3 different kinds, a beef polish sausage, beef hot link, or a veggie dog. I got the beef polish sausage with all the fixings (grilled onions & cream cheese) and it was amazing! Previous to this experience, I have NEVER had cream cheese on my hot dog (and people always thought it was weird that I liked mayonnaise on my hot dogs...). I'd like to say that now I am a believer! The sausage was cooked to perfection (kind of tasted like the Costco polish sausages) and the bun was soft and warm. I definitely could see myself seeking this out after a night of drinking. Will definitely be back.

I'm picky about which sauces I like, and there was no description of the Caity sauce, which is why I requested it on the side. I absolutely hated it. I tried to scrape it off, but I could only get so much, and it basically ruined the entire hot dog for me. There was a lot of it on the jalapenos, so I had to take all of them off, and I didn't get to eat them. I probably should have had them make it again, but it already took over 20 minutes to come out the first time, and the friend I was with was getting impatient. The grilled peppers and onions didn't really have any flavor. The bread was okay. The hot dog itself was actually really good. I also got the cheese empanadas, and those were nice and crispy on the outside, with good cheese inside. Still, I don't think there's enough here worth coming back for, even if they did get my order right next time. I'm better off at a real street dog vendor.

Not everyone likes cream cheese on their freaking hot dogs or knows the proper hot dog terminology we just want food!!! JFC.... Needless to say, there doesn't seem to be anything particularly special about this one hot dog stand, out of the dozens within a square mile in Capitol Hill. So if you're craving a Seattle Dog on a random Tuesday at 8:30pm for example... high tail it to the Thunderbird and get you one!
