I mean, c'mon. Who doesn't sniff out to the Seattle streets after a night of bar-hopping and become mesmerized by the magnificent scent of hot dogs!? Monster Dogs should be eaten when tipsy or drunk and after 2AM. They are the best then. THE BEST. I even prefer this glorious food to the famous Dick's burgers that many crave after the bars close because the hot dogs are actually good! Even if you're sober! Monster Dogs is a stand, and this particular one is located in Belltown, by the parking lot of Bathtub Gin & Co. The aroma of flames and dogs works in this popular nightlife spot - and they take cards! These meaty Polish dogs are only six bucks and it is a MUST to get a Seattle Dog! The Seattle Dog is all about the cream cheese, which sounds sketch, but it works, oh-so-well. The hot dog is split in half and cooked over an open flame and is placed on a thick stadium bun, smeared with cream cheese and sauteed onions. I personally like my Seattle Dog with jalapenos and Sriracha, as both of these accompaniments are here at the stand, in addition to other toppings like sauerkraut, diced onions, mustard, etc... It doesn't sound like much because it's a darn hot dog stand, but after a night of boozing - you will want nothing more than a meaty Polish dog, smothered in melted cream cheese. Trust me.

Stopped by for a late night snack. I got a Seattle dog with the hot link and added some Sriracha and jalapeños and it was sooooooo good. Totally hit the spot and great price. Highly recommend!

A Seattle dog is a quintessential food item while visiting Seattle. I am happy to say the Dog In The Park Seattle Dog lived up to my expectations. A crispy grilled dog, cream cheese, and plenty of grilled veggies. There are loads of toppings to choose from, too, but the young man serving up the dogs recommended just plain for the first time to really get the classic experience. I think some light mustard and maybe some saurkraut would have been a great addition. Friendly service and good recommendations for a first-timer, though. This location is located not too far from Pike Place and Westlake station. Convenient location. The price is great too! Go enjoy a Dog In The Park!

This was during Sakura Con, and for being one of several food stands occupying real estate around the Seattle Convention Center Arch Building, it gets a ton of traction. Big props to the lone server and cook who was taking orders back and forth from my friends and I and others who rushed to grab some food; he was cooking, taking payments and answering questions all throughout the time we were there. No seating or restrooms available here as it's outside. They were also out of vegan hot dogs, which didn't sit too well with one of my friends. For the Seattle Dog, it's a regular hot dog with caramelized vegetables in a somewhat lightly crispy bun and topped with some cream cheese. Hot dog was so good, vegetables added an extra savory tone that complimented the hot dog, and bun was so tasty I could have asked for another Seattle Dog, though each totals up to $10 before tax, which sounds pretty pricey for a hot dog. Regardless I would still come back here during conventions if I don't want to have anything inside the convention center itself.

Several different options with hotdogs and polish sausage- my absolute favorites are the Seattle Dog and the Midnight Sophie. Whichever you choose- don't forget to ask for some of their homemade slaw to top that beautiful dog! I first found Secret Sausage outside the Owl and Thistle in Pioneer Square. Then outside the Clink after a game. It was an elusive Seattle street food treat- and in a lot of ways still is. They've expanded in recent years so sometimes you can find them at Microsoft campuses on occasion too. But I'll let you in on a little secret... they have a deal with the Thunderbird Tavern in Ballard. So if you're craving a Seattle Dog on a random Tuesday at 8:30pm for example... high tail it to the Thunderbird and get you one! Especially on a warm Summer evening: a Seattle dog with extra slaw, a glass of your favorite cold drink and a spot on the back patio - doesn't that sound so good right now?! Another favorite with Secret Sausage is The Firlander Sauce. While I personally am not a big fan of hot sauce, this spicy condiment has been a staple in our family for several years now. I've been told it makes a good gourmet hotdog over-the-top good! Ha! So if you're a hot sauce fan- it's a must try. Locally owned small business with a commitment to quality. Every hotdog I've ever had from them (ahem, and there have been a few over the years,) has been consistently good. Seriously, the best!
